Seriously? Three years probation? Is that all you can do for aggravated assault?
Two idiots who actually believe they're vampires, sucked the living blood out of this poor homeless kid back in October, in return for providing a roof over his head. When the poor guy (Robert Maley) didn't allow the couple (Aaron Homer and Amanda Williamson) to suck on his blood any longer, they stabbed his ass. Well not his ass, but you know what I mean.
"I said no, and he flipped," Maley told police. "He said, 'I'm doing it,' and then boom . . . he stabbed me." "They think they are vampires," said Maley of Homer and Williamson.
The story is insane. From the hidden knife in the couple's bed, to the 25 yr-old Maley running out the door bleeding profusely, and odd stories of paganism lead me to believe these fools belong in a sanitarium, not on our streets feeding on our friends and family. And possibly our Pets!!!
Probation? What is wrong with this picture?
Today's flashback takes us back to 1979, when a one hit wonder was released and managed to remain a hit up until this day. It was most recently used in one of mine and Ryan's favorite games, Just Dance by Nintendo.
My mom was in the kitchen cooking as my sister and I played around the house (more than likely on the floor playing jacks), or playing school. I know, we were strange like that. But the one thing I most definitely remember, (I may still have this 45 RPM record; If I don't, my sister does) is watching my mom dancing to "Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward. She wasn't hopping and dancing all around like most of us probably do, LOL, she was just swaying her hips back and forth as she was making us carne guisada, frijoles and homemade tortillas, LOL. And in yellow short ,shorts to say the least. Lordy!
Courtesy of Wikipedia, the song was originally written for Stacy Lattisaw, but when she signed with a different label, Ward was asked to sing it instead and it became her only major hit. "Ring My Bell" went to number one on both the Billboard Hot 100, and soul singles chart. It also reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. "Ring My Bell" has been covered by many artists since its original release, including DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Ann Lee, Tori Amos, Blood Sisters, Dynamic Duo, Collette, Saïan Supa Crew, INOJ, Pato Fu, Joey Boy, and Sxip Shirey. It has also been remixed many times and is considered a disco-era classic.
Let's take a flashback and listen to a song near the end of our Disco Era...
How much can a kid take? How long before the ramifications of a bully's actions take an affect on a child? I wasn't bullied often, probably more so from family members than schoolmates. In either case, while I don't condone violence, defending oneself is extremely important. This kid allowed the bully to berate and punch him several times; the end result was the bully getting what he asked for. True, the situation could have been more serious, but what was the kid to do? He couldn't take it any longer, and resorted to body slamming him.
Over the past few months we have been hearing stories of teenage boys and/or girls committing suicide. All this, due to being bullied throughout their childhood and with the inability to cope with the humiliation any longer. How would you feel if you're children were being mistreated or picked on in school? Would you defend your sister or brother if they were ridiculed and laughed at, or kicked and spit on? Bullying can carry on to adulthood as well. I have family that still pick on each other to this day, and these are 30 or 40 year old men. Seriously, grow up people. Bullying is not fun. And especially when it's directed at you.
