Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. Obama Takes Over The Colbert Report

Last night, President Obama kicked Stephen Colbert off his chair just as he was about to give his segment of "The Word".  It was pretty fun to watch.

He joked about himself, Republicans and of course, Fox News.  Check it out.

It's Not One Direction - It's Wrong Direction, LOL.

So tell me this...  Are political ads supposed to excite you into voting, or are they there to turn you off from the opposing candidate?
I don't know about you, but I think I prefer political ads like this one.  Courtesy of Buzzfeed & Facebook, the music video below is a parody to One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful", featuring former Houston native, Colby Melvin, and starring alongside him, Quinn C. Jaxon, David Brackett, Brandon R. Brown and Jonathan Myers.

Sure they're taking on Mitt Romney as they play around the pool, but it's the message that's important, right? LOL. Check it out, it's pretty funny, and hot too.

Movies to Watch - Game Change [Premieres this Saturday on HBO]

"One of the most memorable moments of Election Night in 2008 came when Sarah Palin joined John McCain after his concession speech. As she walked onto the platform Palin looked visibly angry, not someone resigned to a loss but someone still ripe for a fight. Apparently the reality of the situation had yet to sink in and Palin was still in campaign (i.e. pit bull) mode. What prompted her anger was later revealed by political journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin in their best-seller "Game Change" and acts as the climax to the HBO movie based on the book that premieres this weekend. And, yes, she was pissed." [edge]

People who have already seen this movie are raving about it, but it doesn't come without the backlash from the folks on the right - the Reds.  To put it in simple terms, instead of people placing aside their political differences when watching this film, there's the pre-conceived notion that Hollywood was being biased in the making of this film.

Well, I kinda have to agree with that; Where's the first part of the book by Halperin and Heilemann?  You know - the part where Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were at each other's throats?  But place this aside for the moment, because we all know that a majority of the REDs would agree that Palin wasn't fit to handle the job.  And even more were weary of her becoming President if something would have happened to John McCain.  But going back to the book the film is based on - more than 300 people were interviewed who were involved in the McCain/Palin campaign, so it begs the question, how could it be false if all these people were involved in the campaign?

Watch the trailer, it's definitely is an award-winning film and makes for must-see-TV.  It's definitely something Ryan and I will be watching this Saturday night on HBO - 8PM Central

Obama is back! Thank you Mr. President - We've Missed You!

Now, this is what I'm talking about.  I was watching Rachel Maddow last night and I saw this clip of President Obama speaking to the same auto workers the REDs ignored and wanted to fail.   And he let them REDs have it.  What an excellent, excellent video.  A definite must watch for those who don't believe in this man.  OMG, this video was excellent!!!

As I'm sure most of you know, The REDs have been having a field day bringing up social issues because the economy is getting better.  They're hating on us Gays, hating on women's rights, and saying the President is a "Snob" for promoting higher education (college) for our kids.  And as you know, they were not in support of saving thousands of jobs (people's jobs) in the Auto Industry, they wanted them to fail.  Well, the president made a mockery of it.  And rightly so, because everything he said in this video is absolutely true!

Obama is back!  Thank you Mr. President - We've Missed You!

Sh*t Politician's Say

You knew it was bound to happen.  It's a political season, a political year, and another day of hearing Sh*t Politician's Say.  I'm just waiting to see when the videos of "Sh*t Mitt Romney Says" & "Sh*t Obama Says" will transpire.
Oh and just in case you haven't noticed, there's all sorts of other sh*t people say. Just YouTube it for God's sake.  These videos have gotten out of control.  Hell, just the other day I saw this one, "Sh*t Rocks Say".  Yep, my thoughts exactly. LOL.

Laugh of the Day: Doggone Sunglasses

So I'm sure you've read by now or maybe even watched it on the news last night.  Never mind that Mitt Romney beat Rick Santorum by a measly 8 votes.  No, no that wasn't the story of the night.  The big night belonged to Michele Bachmann's gay over-joyed husband, Marcus.
As Michele Bachmann put it, "Yesterday when we were out on Main Street in Des Moines, he was out buying doggie sunglasses for our dog Boomer, while we were out visiting all of the many businesses,".

So now you know.

Movies to Watch - Game Change

I'm sure all of you know by now I'm a political junkie, and that nothing pleases me more than to piss off Gay Republicans (oxy), or Republicans in general.  haha, but I still love ya! :-).  I'm just kidding.

Everyone has their views, and I respect that. So long as it doesn't constitute using vulgar words or calling each other names. I'm cool with debating religion or politics.  I enjoy it.

My only thing is...

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!!!

A couple of weeks ago HBO released their teaser for it's upcoming adaptation of Mark Halperin and John Heilemann's book Game Change, and it seems like it's going to be a thriller of a movie.  Just so you know, Mark Halperin was suspended in 2004 from MSNBC for calling President Obama "a dick" on the Morning Joe show.  Regardless, the movie is about all the inside information Mark received from the McCain and Palin camps during the 2008 Presidential campaign.  And it doesn't look very good for Sarah Palin.  I'm thinking she won't be portrayed very nicely.  The movie stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, Ed Harris as John McCain, Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt and many others.

While the book does mention the Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama primary fight, their story is not in this movie.  This is more about what transpired when McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Watch Republicans Literally Walk Out on Democrats Yesterday - Lovely

Astounding, simply astounding.  And this is how Republicans address your $1,000 dollars being taken out of your paycheck next year.

So let's see if you got a $1,000 raise this year, you're not going to see it in 2012. You're not!  And if you received a $1,000 Christmas bonus this year, save it. You'll need it next year.

In other words, if you receive a bi-weekly check, your check will be $40-60 less than what you originally were receiving.  Trust me, you'll feel it.  Actually 160 million Americans will feel it.  Watch as the GOP speaker pro-tem, walks out as Democrats are pushing for a vote on the Payroll Tax-cut before it expires this month.

Yesterday morning, Speaker Pro Tempore Michael Fitzpatrick (R-PA), under orders from Speaker Boehner, refused to allow Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer to speak on the floor and ask for unanimous consent to bring up the Senate bipartisan compromise to extend the payroll tax cut. Whip Hoyer and Congressman Chris Van Hollen are continuing to try to offer the Senate compromise even though Republicans walked off the floor. Once again, Republicans are risking a tax increase on 160 million Americans and the loss unemployment benefits for those who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.

SNL Exclusive: Politcs Nation With Al Sharpton

LOL, absolutely hilarious!  And this is why I don't watch this show on MSNBC.  Half the time I don't think Al Sharpton knows what he's talking about.  Him and that damn blueberry pie, I swear!  He does have one thing right in this clip.  Republicans do have rocks in their heads.

Must Watch: 99% vs. 1% - The Data Behind The Movement

If you've been having a hard time understanding the "Occupy Wall Street" movement, or you simply don't get this 99% they keep talking about, then I suggest you watch this video.  It's absolutely amazing.

The Guardian put together this animated short which explains the distribution of wealth in this country.  Share it with those who need a better understanding of why we ordinary Americans are paying more taxes than the rich.  Doesn't make any sense, does it?

Governor Rick Perry says, "Ooops".

Please help me understand how our state has elected this man for three consecutive terms?  Oh, I know, the corrupt Republican machine, who is now in the process of redistricting, and finding ways to suppress voters.

If you're Latino or a student, good luck.  Republicans are in control of both houses in this state, so they can pretty much pass whatever they want.  Soon Democrats won't be allowed to vote. LOL, j/k.

During last night's presidential debate, Governor Ricky Perry forgot the third government agency he would eliminate as president.  "Commerce, Education, and the.... um...um... what's the third one there? let's see....Commerce, Education, and the um. um...um.."  Really?  And when the moderator asked him if he was serious, he continues mumbling and still can't remember, which in turn leads him to say, "oops".

So now you know why he never wants to debate when he's running for Governor.  He refused to debate Mayor Bill White of Houston during the last election.

Must Watch - Must Read: President Josiah Bartlet on Homosexuality

Ryan and I are currently watching one of the greatest shows ever to air on network television, The West Wing

Last night, we had the pleasure of watching our new favorite episode to date, titled "The Midterms". It's memorable because of what President Josiah Bartlet told a Dr. Schlessinger character aka Dr. Jacobs.

She was told by the President, "I like your show. I like how you call homosexuality an abomination."  And she responded, "I don’t say homosexuality is an abomination, Mr. President. The Bible does."

The President's reply was absolutely awesome, and astounding.  Check out the small script below, better yet, watch the video I attached.

President Josiah Bartlet: [addressing a radio personality party in the White House, entering room to applause] Thank you. Thank you very much. Thanks a lot. I wish I could spend more than a few minutes with you, but the polls don’t close in the east for another hour, and there are plenty of election results still left to falsify.
[everyone laughs]

President Josiah Bartlet: I’m sorry. Uh, you’re Dr. Jenna Jacobs, right?
Dr. Jenna Jacobs:
Yes, Sir.
President Josiah Bartlet: It’s good to have you here.
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: Thank you.
President Josiah Bartlet: The awesome impact of the airwaves and how that translates into the furthering of our national discussions, but also obviously how it can… Forgive me, Dr. Jacobs. Are you an M.D.?
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: A Ph.D.
President Josiah Bartlet: A Ph.D.
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: Yes, Sir.
President Josiah Bartlet: In psychology?
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: No, Sir.
President Josiah Bartlet: Theology?
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: No.
President Josiah Bartlet: Social work?
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: I have a Ph.D. in English literature.
President Josiah Bartlet: I’m asking ‘cause on your show, people call in for advice and you go by the name Dr. Jacobs on your show, and I didn’t know if maybe your listeners were confused by that and assumed you had advanced training in psychology, theology or health care.
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: I don’t believe they are confused. No, Sir.
President Josiah Bartlet:Good. I like your show. I like how you call homosexuality an abomination.
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: I don’t say homosexuality is an abomination, Mr. President. The Bible does.
President Josiah Bartlet: Yes, it does. Leviticus.
Dr. Jenna Jacobs: 18:22.
President Josiah Bartlet: Chapter and verse. I wanted to ask you a couple of questions while I had you here. I’m interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She’s a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff Leo McGarry insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or is it okay to call the police? Here’s one that’s really important ‘cause we’ve got a lot of sports fans in this town: Touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you? One last thing: While you may be mistaking this for your monthly meeting of the Ignorant Tight-Ass Club, in this building, when the President stands, nobody sits.

Must Watch: Where Do We Go From Here?

I could not say it better if I tried.

This poignant video is what democracy is all about.  Be proud that you're an American.  Be proud that you live in a country where this can happen.

These people protesting are not our enemies, they are not terrorists.  They are firefighters, teachers, chefs, soldiers, auto-workers, office employees, I mean, the list goes on.  It is atrocious what these policemen are doing, beating and arresting people.  By the end of the year some of those same cops are going to be out of a job.  Is this how they repay those who are trying to help them?  They should have arrested those damn crazy nut jobs we call the Tea Party, with their guns waving and shit.  They were out protesting several months ago and no one did shit.
"I've been there around six times now. Two with a video camera, two with a still camera, and two just without a camera. Each experience has been unique - and I have to say - it makes it easier for me to have the camera - it gives me more focus there. But just getting lost in the crowd can be beauitful. I was there Friday night starting around 11pm and I believe there was the General Assembly going on - watching the process - they were organizing smaller groups - was beautiful - watching direct democracy in action." - Ed David

OMG Hilarious! - Republican Presidential Debate Factoids

OMG, this was hilarious as shit.  I already know none of you watched the Republican Presidential Debate this past wednesday, because all of you bitches hate politics.  But once again, that's okay, because just like yesterday's post, here is a small clip of what happened.

According to Conan O'Brien, MSNBC tried something new that no one has ever done before.  They flashed some fun facts about the candidates as each of them gave a response to a question.  Conan states they were actually more entertaining than the actual debate.  Check 'em out.

Must Watch: You Really Didn't Miss Anything

Not interested in politics?  That's okay, this video is only 45 seconds of your day, just a mere 45 seconds of your life.  Pretty much what was said during the debate on Wednesday was... Taxes, Reagan, Taxes, Reagan, Taxes, Reagan...

I swear, all of these guys are idiots.  You know what?  I take that back.  Jon Huntsman actually broke away from them on a few issues, but all that means, Republicans will only shun him.

Michele Bachmann's Story of America

I'm sorry, but we all know this woman is nuts!  On Tuesday night's show, Jimmy Kimmel presented us with a look of American History through the eyes of Michele Bachmann.  And the outcome was hilarious!  But ohhh, so very true.

In recent weeks, she's been creating her own version of American History, or how it should have been.  Furthermore, she doesn't do her research before giving a speech.  Case and point; she should have "Googled" her information, so that before she compared herself to John Wayne (the cowboy actor), she would've made sure not to compare herself to John Wayne Gacy (the serial killer).

C'mon people, is this the woman you want running our country?  She thinks that our founding fathers didn't own any slaves.  Do we really have to go there?

Jimmy Kimmel has got it right, check it out here.

Betsy Loves Sarah Palin

Watch as Betsy's dream is crushed when she learns not one South Carolinian is keen on seeing Palin become their President.

"Every Conservative is Racist to A Liberal".... Jeezus, Can Someone Please Help Lucas!

I worry about people sometimes; Really, I do.  Sometimes I worry about them so much, I think they lack the intellect to hold a smart conversation.  Keep in mind, this is only certain people.  As most of my readers know, I have loved politics for as long as I can remember.  Hell, I even held a mock election when I was in college, and everyone in the dormitory had fun participating in it.  Well, almost everyone. haha, It was fun nonetheless.

On the way home from work on Tuesday, I had the pleasure of listening to Randi Rhodes.  If you've never heard of her, you should.  She is one of the smartest women I know.  She tells it like it is, and doesn't hold back. I've learned a lot from her, and you could too.  In either case, she had a caller on Tuesday who, I swear, was the dumbest person I had ever heard.  Not only was he a bigot, but he had this fascination that Bush was the greatest President this country had ever had.  Really.  No, Really.

After 7 minutes and 42 seconds of going back and forth on why we can't trust Muslims (when almost everyone I know has a Muslim friend.  It's a religion people!  Every religion has people you can't trust!  Geez!), he begins to tell Randi this...

It's better to hear the call from the beginning, where the caller believes Muslims can't be trusted, but you can skip to 7:42 minutes if you like.

I posted the conversation from the 7:42 mark after the jump if you wish to follow along.

The Most Vile Man In The Republican Party

Let's see...

You're against me and Ryan getting married,

You're against me and Ryan becoming parents,

You're against me and Ryan retaining our jobs,

and...

You're against mine and Ryan's friends joining the military.

Hmmm. what else would you expect from a man who has preached from the pulpit for over 30 years?  Who are you to judge us Mr. Huckabee?

Gay people having full equality has no impact what so ever on anyone who disagrees with the "homosexual lifestyle" as you often mention. It changes nothing in your home life, your family, or your church; your life will continue as it always has. You only have to deal with the fact that we exist and we are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. There is no personal toll or impact for you.

When people make moves to limit, remove, or block our equality it impacts our legal and financial standings, our families (especially if there are children involved), and wrongly implies that we are somehow less deserving of life, liberty, and equal protection under the law than our hetero counterparts.

And lets get one thing very clear, the term "homosexual lifestyle" is a worthless statement that is used only as a scare tactic to ignite fear and anger. The reality is that all homosexuals have only two things in common, they are attracted to people of the same gender and they will face familial, societal, and legal discrimination because of it; the similarities stop there.

Just like heteros we all have vastly different beliefs and practices regarding work, family, children, religion, politics, sexual behaviors, morality, education, where we live, who we socialize with, and what we are willing to tolerate from others. We are not all "cut from the same cloth", and if in 2011 you believe that we are than your ignorance is beyond staggering.

Differing opinions regarding homosexual relationships doesn't make anyone evil. It's when you attempt to block our rights, take away our children, forbid us from adopting children, align us with pedophiles and animal rapists, discredit our families, fire us, evict us, tell us we can be cured (as if we had a sickness), tell us that your imaginary friend's book says we should be put to death (even though you ignore everything else Leviticus said), beat us or actually murder us; that's when it becomes evil.

A Tale of Two Losers

Two losers were on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, a real one and fake one.

Chris Brown, who beat up Rihanna two years ago performed his new song "Yeah x3."  And the fake Bill O'Reilly (who's a loser in real life) performed a skit on the President Obama interview that the 'real' Bill O'Reilly conducted before the Superbowl last week.

In either case, I thought the Chris Brown song sucked and the Bill O'Reilly skit was funny.  Here's the skit from last night's show.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.
