We are coming towards the end of the year and today starts the Mayan Calendar countdown.
As you all know by now, the end of the world is upon us and it will end exactly one year from today. Nevermind that God said no one will know when the world will end. If the Mayans say it is so, then it is.
In the meantime, keep yourself entertained for 12 minutes by watching this great video of the Best Fails of 2011. These are definitely some of the best and dumbest stunts I've seen.

Archuleta To Pray The Gay Away
So it seems little boy-wonder, David Archuleta has decided to pray the gay away by devoting himself to a full time mission to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“It’s not because someone told me that I’m supposed to do it, not because I no longer want to do music anymore, but it’s because it’s the feeling that I feel I need to do next in my life,” Archuleta said with a shaky voice, after regaining his composure on stage. “It’s just the same feeling that I’ve always tried to follow in my life… I’ve learned to trust that feeling and I’ve learned that I need to answer when it calls.”
Yeah. Good one.
You will no longer see him singing at those huge sold-out concerts, because he is putting his career on hold. Watching the video below made me think he was in Utah for a concert, because what type of fan would scream and yell in congratulatory applause for over a minute on this news? This is blasphemy, I tell you! It's heartbreaking dammit!
Personally, I think his overbearing Daddy told him he needed to have electro-shock treatments as soon as possible or else he would be ex-communicated, and go to hell just like the rest of us.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words - Issue No. 7
I haven't posted an issue of "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" in over 5 months. I have so many series on my blog that by the time I get to one I really want to talk about, a new story pops up, or a funny video takes it's place.
In keeping with current events I felt the best place for this post was in this series, because while the art itself does not consist of words, it does consist of a broader message. In contrast to my other posts, where the words made the art, in the portrait below, The National Post’s graphics team uses artillery shells to convey it's message.
With the death of Kim Jong-il there is uncertainty about how much support the third generation of the North Korea’s ruling dynasty has among the ruling elite, especially in the military, and worry that successor Kim Jong-un might need a military show of strength to help establish his credentials. The National Post’s graphics team explores the firepower available to the great successor.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 41 - Stuart, The Salsa Dancing Dog
As most of you know, Ryan and I have 4 chihuahuas. Duchess has ADD, Puffs is extremely overweight, Lady is scared shitless, and Nacho, well... being that he's the only boy, overly sensitive, and loves his little blanky, I'm gonna say gay.
But no one can do it quite like Stuart here. Watch as he dances the salsa, and better than any of us ever could. Hell, they should do a Dancing With The Stars for dogs. He'd get all tens!
Of course, with all the lovers, come the haters. So the owner of the dog had this to say on his YouTube site.

Ok, for all of you conspiracy theorists and such, I have to address a number of inanely negative comments and observations. 1) Stuart is on a leash, not a string. He uses this for balance and to keep from running out into the street. 2)HE LEARNED TO DO THIS ON HIS OWN. 3)He is never forced to do anything because he runs the show in his house. Just stop with the abuse comments. You are completely uninformed. If you want to see animal abuse, maybe you should search a video of the cockfights on the Island so you can tell the difference.
It's Was Definitely A Lego Year!
Remember the Lego posters I blogged about back in February which depicted the Oscar contenders in Lego? How about the ones in May by Nextmovie.com with their rendition of the summer blockbuster movies in Lego? If you can't recall ever seeing them, you can take a look here and here. They were pretty hilarious.
Well it seems like 2011 has been a Lego year, and several Flickr members have created some pretty excellent renditions of what's happened over the past year, all in Lego. Check out these amazing depictions of the Royal Wedding, The Pepper Spray Incident at UC Davis, Occupy Wall Street and more.
