Isn't This The Truth? Freezie Pops
I ate these growing up as kid, and believe it or not, I have some in the freezer right now. But isn't this chart the truth? LOL, I remember cutting myself with those damn plastic sleeves, and the kool-aid juice spilling all over my shirt, priceless. Those were the days. Hell, they still are...
The juice was the best part!

Daniel Joseph Baker Leaves You Speechless
You may recall, back on June10th I wrote a post on the very gay, and adorable Daniel Joseph Baker, who impressed the judges with his performance of "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. In last night's "Vegas Round" there was no exception.
Daniel, once again wowed the judges with his rendition of Lady Gaga's hit song, "Speechless."
Prior to his performance, Daniel made it a point to let people know that he was doing this for his parents, because without them he felt he could never have made it with all the bullying in his life.
The son of a white mother and black father, his emotions brought out the best in him. In tears, he stated he wanted to give his parents the best performance he could, because he wanted to call and let them know he made it through to Hollywood.
The song was so powerful, and personal, that the other contestants were in awe with his performance. After the judge's critiques, he earned a spot in the Top 48.
He wanted to let his parents know that everything they've done for him in his life, has paid off. Daniel, I think it already has.... Congratulations, you deserve it! GAY POWER!!!!

Must Watch: Together You and I
If there is one woman who can defy so many odds, it's Dolly Parton. One of the biggest, if not the biggest gay icons in all of music, Dolly has managed to garner 25 number one singles, and 41 top-ten country albums. She is the epitome of glamour and ageless beauty.
Dolly has recently released a new music video, "Together You and I," to rave reviews, and the 65 year old artist has shown that she can still belt it out like the rest of them. She wrote the uplifting lyrics due to current events, like bad weather, unemployment, and terrorists.
I Will Always Love You, Dolly! Thank you!
Dolly has recently released a new music video, "Together You and I," to rave reviews, and the 65 year old artist has shown that she can still belt it out like the rest of them. She wrote the uplifting lyrics due to current events, like bad weather, unemployment, and terrorists.
"I wanted to do something uplifting so even in the losing songs, I'm saying you're going to pick up the pieces," Dolly said in an interview with Billboard. "It seemed that with everything being so doomsday-terrorists and bad weather and unemployment-we need a little sunshine."In the video, Dolly sings the uplifting lyrics as people on the bridge begin to hold hands and smile at each other. I absolutely love it, because as much as the conservative folks love her, they hate her undying love for everyone around her - the gays, the Muslims, the Latinos, the poor, the unemployed, the list goes on. To her, it doesn't matter who you are, and who you love, we are all people in her eyes. And this is how it should be...us making a difference, "Together You and I."
I Will Always Love You, Dolly! Thank you!

Gay Movies to Watch: Judas Kiss

Ninety percent of you would probably say, Sean Paul Lockhart.
He's better known as Brent Corrigan to all you gay boys, and straight ones who've always been curious.

Turning 26 in October, Sean has been trying to cross over from adult to professional film acting for quite some time, but this is something very difficult to accomplish. Fortunately for him, due to some very good reviews on the upcoming release of Judas Kiss, Lockhart has managed to garner a lot of attention. Especially from Michael Hinman who gives a spoiler-free review that you can check out here.
"They say that porn stars can't act, and from what I hear from people who watch porn, that's definitely true.
But there are always exceptions, and Lockhart is one of them. He is making some serious efforts to cross over to mainstream film. While his role in "Another Gay Sequel" as a merboy might have shown he can stretch his legs a little bit, his portrayal of fellow film student Chris Wachowsky proves that with some more training, he could really make a run for it.
Sadly, his past will always haunt him and cost him work. It's a horrible double-standard in my opinion. Actors like Colin Ferrell can "accidentally" release hardcore sex tapes with the production values that a dead person could top, yet he continues to work. Why can't that go both ways ... especially if you have the talent to do it.
I was impressed with Lockhart's work in the film. And there's something about him that really draws you into a scene."

- Washed-up filmmaker Zachary Wells (Charlie David)
- Hot young film student Danny Reyes (Richard Harmon)
- His best friend Abbey Park (Julia Morizawa)
- The two guys vying for Danny: fellow filmmaker Chris Wachowsky (Brent Corrigan) and the rich Shane Lyons (Timo Descamps)
In this clip, film students Chris (Brent Corrigan) and Danny (Richard Harmon) steal away for a private moment in the woods at Keystone Summit University.
To read more about the movie and what it entails, you can check out Michael Hinman's review here or visit judaskissmovie.com

Politics 101: Why Is Health Care So Expensive? and The Real Reasons Why It Costs So Much
Back in April I introduced you to the first part of "Why Your Stitches Cost $1,500: A Look at The Absurd Health Care Costs in America." Today, I bring you the 2nd part.
Let me break it down for you... You have Myths, which Republicans try to feed you day in, and day out. And you have Truths, which Democrats try to show you, but you refuse to listen to them. If you continue to elect people into office that feed you lies, beyond lies, to where it becomes really difficult to repair; Then when it comes time to repair all the damage that's been done - our Democrats are blamed for not fixing it fast enough. Why is it there job to repair what Republicans screwed up to begin with? Because Democrats care for the average American worker. You have a choice, make it.
In the chart below, you will see four big myths "people often cite, but are actually incorrect."
After the jump, you will find "The Real Reasons Why Health Care Costs So Much."

Yes, It's True, Canines Are A Delicacy
Several years ago, I'll say maybe around 8 or 10, I mentioned that I had seen an ABC special with Barbara Walters, in which she visited a Korean family who butchered and ate dogs as a regular meal. She went through the entire episode interviewing this family who explained there was a right way, and wrong way to do it. They skin, them young, and boil them alive! What is right about that?!?!
In the end, Barbara sat down with them, and ate dog meat. It was a horrendous 20/20 episode, and I hated Barbara for it. I did manage to forgive her over time.
But did anyone believe me? No, they thought I was nuts.
Well, here you have it folks... a South Korean dog meat festival was cancelled amid "growls of protest from animal rights activists." And The Korea Dog Farmer's Association was none too happy with the outcome, stating that they "couldn't possibly go on with the plan due to endless phone calls of complaint... now there are few willing to rent us a place for the event.
Seriously? This is downright barbaric. According to the news organization AFP, they planned to "showcase canine food products, including barbecued dog, sausages, and steamed paws."
While many people don't think there's anything wrong with doing it, I find it quite disturbing. Their argument is, we eat pigs, chickens, cows, and countless of other animals, what is so different about dog or cat? Well, for one, I agree with what one protester said, "Canines are the animals emotionally closest to humans. You can't just publicly celebrate killing and eating them."
What do you think? Is this okay, or would it make your country the laughing stock of the world?
I cannot imagine myself eating my Duchess, Lady, Nacho or Puffs. These dogs are so precious to Ryan and I.

Music Video Flashback - 2010
This will take you back 8 months, exactly 2 months before BLADE 7184's debut, when the lovely, lovely boys at Randy Blue (NSFW) made a tribute music video for gay icon, Kylie Minogue.
I know what you're asking, isn't this "Randy Blue" a gay porn site? Yes, it is. It's the site that introduced us to all the gorgeous boys you're about to see in the music video. Of course, you don't see them all over each other as you do @ Randy Blue; Instead you see them lip synching and dancing to Kylie's club hit song, "Get Outta My Way," And what a beautiful tribute indeed.
The video below is "Safe For Work," but the "Randy Blue" site is not.

Income and Population Centers Around the World
Take a look at this awesome chart provided by Jason Oberholtzer over at Forbes.
The National Geographic put together a rather pretty map of where in the world our nearly seven billion people people live. Then they added income class categorizations and a lot of statistics. What does their map show?

The Science Behind Hot Dog Eating Contests
Honestly, I've never understood the concept behind Food Eating Contests. Quite frankly, I think it's rather dumb to shove food down your throat in such a rapid manner. It's looks disgusting, and it's downright nasty. Then again, this is just my opinion, so don't get offended if you're the current reigning hot dog champ. If you've never seen the contest, you can catch it every year on ESPN or in person in Coney Island in New York.
From 2001 to 2006, Japanese, Takeru Kobayashi was the champion of Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, until American, Joey Chestnut, the current winner, took his title away, and he's not about to relinquish it anytime soon. This is also the first year, women were allowed to compete in their own separate event. Yesterday, Joey ate 62 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. How does he do it, and how is it possible to consume that much food in such a short period of time?
Well..... ESPN has broken it down for us, and this is how it works...

Cover Wars 5 - The Results
So the results are in for my first ever, Cover Wars by Category issue. It was a close call between the group and teen performances, but overall each performance was fantastic. You have to remember, I chose what I felt was the best of the best, and you decided which of them were the winners.
Each contestant sang their own cover of "Grenade" by Bruno Mars, and in the end, the winners were...
Lion Named Roar for Best Group Performance. While many of you were impressed with Lawson's version of the song, Lion Named Roar came out on top as the best all-around sound, and I couldn't agree more, the vocals were great, the music was great, and the video was great. Congrats Lion Named Roar!
As for the Best Female Performance, Lisa Lavie won this hands down, her unique voice made it all the better for her in the end. Her strong vocals, accompanied with some great music, made it an even easier choice. Giving it her emotional best, Lisa was the clear choice. Congrats Lisa!
In the Best Male Performance category, it was the hot-looking "nerdy" guy, Alex Goot vs. the ever popular, Jason Chen. Alex definitely provided a shocking element to his performance, his voice! The music was amazing, his playing the guitar, the piano and the drums added to a great video performance as well. There definitely was no competing with Alex, he won this hands down. Congrats Alex!
For Best Teen Performance, my readers were stuck between two teenage boys who gave it their all, Marko Stantic and Jordan Jansen. In the end, Jordan took this home. His unique voice, the emotion he provided, and the video accompanying the song, garnered him enough votes to take home the Gold Record. Remarkable voice, remarkable performance, congrats Jordan!
Once again, here are your Cover War winners singing their cover to "Grenade"...

As promised, each winner will be sent an image of their Cover Wars "Gold Record." It's a fictional image of my Cover Wars logo and a Gold Album embedded in a black frame. I created this image specifically for this series.
This is also the first issue where I have sent the winner a personalized image of their Cover Wars album.

Woof vs. Meow
So what does owning a pet say about you? I thought this chart was pretty cool. Who knew owning a pet could probably help a relationship last longer. 60% of pet owners are either married or in a long-term relationship. Interesting, huh?
Also 15% of people who own dogs are Extroverts, whereas 11% who own cats are introverts. Which is so true, Ryan and I are total extroverts. Don't know about the part of us being 50% more likely to be conservative - that just isn't right. I don't think they're counting small dog owners - who are all gay. LOL.

'The Matrix' Lobby Scene with A capella Multitrack
I'm posting this because Ryan loves the Matrix movies. I'm not a fan of the them, but since he is, I thought he would get a kick out of it.
Matt Mulholland, created this multi-track A Capella music video featuring one of the most famous scenes in the trilogy, the Lobby battle.
After reading a few of the YouTube Comments, it seems Matrix fans are truly loving this masterpiece.

Water Captured At A Stunning7000 Frames Per Second
You all know how much I love anything to do with Art, or the Art of Photography, and the following video is no exception.
It's another one of those slow-motion capture videos, that I absolutely love. Kudos to Romain Glé and Thomas Séon who put this music video together. There's nothing like water being captured at 7000 FPS (frames per second). Simply stunning to say the least.
