Are You Excited For The Season Finale of V!

If all goes according to executive producer Scott Rosenbaum’s plan, tonight’s V season finale will be a hugely dramatically satisfying hour — and will still leave viewers wanting more.  And wanting more is what Ryan and I want.  I watched the original "TV mini-series" when it first aired back in the 1980's, and I will proudly say it was a really great show.  Ryan and I watched it on DVD before we started watching the new series early last year.

According to Entertainment Weekly magazine, Rosenbaum was told to cut back his episode line to 10 instead of the 22 he had hoped for.  His first thought was, "What the hell do I do?"  The result was Mother's Day (episode title), which will feature several character deaths and a guest appearance by Marc Singer, who was a freedom fighter from the original series.

Rosenbaum also states that he has made the season finale a satisfying conclusion should ABC choose not to proceed with a 3rd season, but he feels the "best of the show is ahead of itself."

Personally, being that he's relying on hope to get him through tonight's show can only mean one thing... it's going to be really good and we are going to be dying for Season 3, but in the event that the show isn't picked up, he did his best to offer a final closure.  Let's pray this is not the case, because I love these damn visitors!  I want them massacred, just not this season.  Diana is coming back for God's sakes!

Here's a sneak to make your mouth water...

Kathy Griffin, New Directions, The Beatles, Pink, and a Nun - What More Could You Want From Glee?

I don't even know where to begin.  Santana vs. Brittany, Kathy Griffin vs. Sarah Palin, New Directions vs. Warblers, and who the hell is going to die?  These are all the questions I'm having issues with.

Last week we saw Santana confess her love for Brittany, but Brittany wasn't going to have any of it, because she can't drop Artie at the drop of a hat.  She did manage to tell her that she would be the next choice if they so happened to break up.

Tonight we have Kathy Griffin acting like Sarah Palin as a member of the Tea Party and Loretta Devine as a nun, which can only mean one thing - there's an appeal to our friends on the right by casting these two.  And who better to show their true colors than Sue Sylvester and her Aural Intensity by singing, "Jesus Is My Friend."  Clearly someone will be playing to them.

In addition to that song, the Warblers will be singing "Blackbird" by The Beatles (Kurt)
"Candles" by Hey Monday (Kurt and Blaine), "Misery" by Maroon 5 (Blaine), and "Raise Your Glass" by Pink (The Warblers).  And while New Directions may only have 3 songs up their sleeve tonight, they're all original, with 2 of them released already, "Loser Like Me" and "Get It Right."  Both of those songs rely heavily on Rachel Barry.  The third song will be all about Mercedes, "Hell to the No."

And what of the death of the century?  Did everyone seem to forget about that?  It seems like it vanished from thin air and no one is talking about it any longer.  My thought is, we could either be taken by surprise or it was simply thrown out.  Either way, we will find out tonight on Fox at 8/7 central.  Don't Miss It!

Tech News 101: iPad2

Thinner, Lighter, Faster, I don't care what everybody tells me.  The iPad2 is phenomenal.  So phenomenal that it is believed to be sold out at all locations, including retail stores and partners.  Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad "One," but I really, really want the iPad2.  The second generation tablet became an instant hit over the weekend, selling over 1 million of them.  In comparison to last year's launch of the first generation iPad, which sold 1 million in a month, this is quite a huge deal.  This is what you call "huge" revenues for the Apple crime family.  LOL, just kidding.

I just wonder how many folks are kicking themselves in the ass for buying the iPad "One" over the holidays and not waiting 3 months for the new and improved version.

Things To Do With One Post-it Note

And you thought you had it all figured out.  You thought that you needed more than one Post-it Note to complete all your tasks.  Well as the chart below demonstrates, you only need one to accomplish all the projects they have listed.

Movies to Watch: Super 8

A few days ago, a full-length trailer to the movie, "Super 8" was released.  I don't know if I've been sold on this movie yet.  I felt the same way about another J.J. Abrams movie, "Cloverfield."  Ryan and I didn't even go to the theatres to watch it, we just waited for it's release on Blu-ray/DVD. Check out the trailer below for yourselves.

I like that the movie has a late 50's, early 60's feel to it - a great element of the film.  My main concern is that Steven Spielberg is connected to this film; I sure would hate for the movie to ruin his reputation.  The trailer has done it's job - it has peaked my curiosity a tiny bit.

Katy Perry's "Firework" as You've Never Seen or Heard It Before!

You may remember him from 2010 when he was a guest on the shows, Today and Ellen, or you may have heard of him when his videos went viral in the Fall.  He made covers of Katy Perry's, "Teenage Dream" and Bruno Mars, "Just They Way You Are."

Well, the very hot Mike Tompkins is back and the cutie dishes out a cover of Katy Perry's "Firework" as you've never seen or heard it before. I truly enjoyed watched this video, he's truly an amazing artist.  When someone can create music with their voice alone, they are truly a musical genius.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Tribute - Issue No. 2

Being that this weekend will put an end to this year's Houston's Livestock Show & Rodeo, I thought I would pay a small tribute to all the cowboys out there.

The Quote of The Century by Nate Phelps (Son of Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church)

"I have concluded that any system sustained by hatred, any theology that acts with deliberate cruelty to others and laughs at the suffering it causes, any ideology that marginalizes a group of people based on whom they choose to love is morally bankrupt and I reject it."

—Nate Phelps, the son of Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church, tells a high school audience that his father's mission in life is a farce [via]

The son of one of the most outspoken religious men of the 80's and 90's, Fred Phelps, came out in condemnation of his family's religious beliefs at Clayton High School on March 10th.  In it, he described his childhood and how he suffered at the physical abuse of his father and how it would sometimes last for hours on end.  He talked of his teenage escape at the age of 18 and the lengths he went to hide his new car from his friends and family.
"I left the night I turned 18, literally at midnight," Phelps said. "I knew I was going to do it when I turned 15 or so. I bought a car when I was 17—hid it—no one knew it was mine. [I] packed my stuff up and at 11:30 on the night of my 18th birthday, I backed it into the driveway and loaded it up and went inside. [I] waited for the clock to hit midnight, and then I left."
Nate Phelps, the seventh of 13 children, knew that if he were caught or took the steps to return back to his family, he would be severely beaten for violating "the rules."  I found the following video online and thought the interview was really great (granted Peter Klein is kind of bad with interupting and not letting Nate speak at times), and thought I would share.  I like Nate a lot. I like his outlook and how he came to make his decisions about religion, and his willingness to let his kids make up their own minds. I don't think many parents get how utterly terrifying religion is for a 4, 5, 6 year old child. And I also believe that inflicting that kind of fear (that you can go somewhere and burn and be tortured forever if you step out of line) is wrong, if not cruel. I understand the concept of punishment, but I feel like 10 minutes in time out is a far cry from eternity of damnation.

Movies to Watch: Mother's Day

She is most notable for her performance in one of the most suspenseful movies of all time, "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle," but it is the 80's classic with Tom Cruise (Risky Business), that introduced us to actress known as Rebecca De Mornay.  And the Evil that possesses her is beyond compare.   I can tell you right now if this bitch were to walk into my office today, I'd be answering her, "yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes ma'am."  This woman terrifies me, and rightly so, hence the reason she was cast in a new movie out in theatres April 1st.  IMDB (Internet Movie Database) describes Mother’s Day as a psychological horror thriller about “the sadistic members of a villainous family who return to their childhood home to terrorize the new home owners and their guests.”

"In the thriller arriving in theaters April 1, three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons' escape, teaching the house's new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way." Written by Bloody Disgusting.com

Quarantine 2: Terminal

You may want to take a look at this leaked movie trailer before someone takes it off the air.  If you haven't seen the first movie, then I don't suggest you watch it.  But since Ryan and I watched Quarantine last year, I'm really looking forward to the second part, titled "Quarantine 2: Terminal."  In the first movie, the Center for Disease Control quarantined a Los Angeles apartment building after a virus turned the residents into rabid killers. This sequel takes place later that night at LAX, as passengers board a flight to Nashville. They have to make an emergency landing at a large metropolitan airport, and passengers are soon informed that they are under quarantine and cannot leave. They must band together to survive.

Wishful Thinking Maybe?

Just because you think Zac Efron is especially gorgeous, doesn't mean there is no possible way he could be straight.  I mean, c'mon he was dating Vanessa, what's her name?

Just because Nick Jonas is getting more and more muscular everyday, and looking hotter than ever, doesn't mean he's turning straight.  Even if he is wearing a purity ring until he gets married - "so gay."

But yesterday I came across this image below...  Am I wishing this, or did somebody spend the night at someone's house?

The other morning Zac stumbled out of bed wearing this cute little sweater and rolled up jean shorts, which ironically enough, Nick previously wore on two separate occasions.  Well, the jeans on Nick are black, but that doesn't mean anything; Oh wait! Nick wore some rolled up jeans too.  Where did he get that idea from? Or was the idea taken from Nick?  Something fishy is going on.  I just know it.

Pink's TMC Megamix = Bullseye

Just finished reading my weekly subscription to Entertainment Weekly, and one of my favorite sections in the magazine titled, "The Bullseye," takes a look at the pop culture news that was right on target during the past week and also the events that missed the mark. The video below was right on target according to EW,
"Someone strung together all of Pink's dance hits into one song .  They call it the 'TMC Megamix.' We call it genius."

I'm listening to it now.  And I..... love it.

Then again, I love Pink! She rocks!

Foods That Make You Cringe - Issue No. 7

For my 7th issue of 'Foods That Make You Cringe,' you have a delicious sushi roll and a 50 lb. burger.  Sounds appetizing, doesn't it?

Every week I'll be stating the obvious fact; that people eat the craziest crap, hence the reason people tell you, "
This Is Why Your Fat."

Burger, pancake, and sushi rolls: cheeseburger sushi deepfried in pancake batter, with burger meat, deli style american cheese, red onion, and chipotle mayo.

Glee Does Prince and Neon Trees on Las Night's Episode

As I mentioned last Saturday, Gwyneth's character Holly Holiday would be returning with a bang.  And with a bang she did, by performing a Tango with Mr. Schuester while singing Prince's, "Kiss."  The performance was really fantastic; Ryan and I truly enjoyed it.

The Dalton Academy Warblers also had an amazing performance with their version of Neon Trees' "Animal."  Check out both videos below.

Quoted - The Sex Talk - Burt Hummel (Kurt's father)

"When you're intimate with someone in that way, you gotta know that you're exposing yourself. You're never gonna be more vulnerable, and that scares the hell out of a lot of guys. With two guys you've got two people who think that sex is just sex. It's gonna be easier to come by and once you start, you aren't gonna want to stop. You gotta know that it means something. It's doing something to you, to your heart, to your self-esteem, even though it feels like you're just having fun. When you're ready, I want you to be able to do everything. But when you're ready, I want you to use it as a way to connect to another person. Don't throw yourself around like you don't matter, because you matter."
                – Burt Hummel (Kurt's father) on last night's episode of Glee.

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of Kurt, but give me his dad anytime, and I'd be happy to call him Father.  If only parents of gay children could see how Kurt's dad treats him.  He loves him unconditionally and is there for him at all costs.

Dave Franco Plays "You're So Hot," But Does He Win?

Back in college, when parties would ensue, "the straights" had so much fun playing this game, it was one of my "not-so memorable" experiences.  I find it ironic that a simple video like this, could bring back one of the things I completely forgot or simply chose to erase from my memory. LOL.

On the other hand, I'm glad the video came to light, because the thought of Dave Franco (James Franco's hot, younger brother) talking dirty to me would make things perfectly alright.  Ugh. he's so damn beautiful!

So the point of the game...

You get two people, preferably two "straights" or one "straight," one "gay," and you have them go back and forth telling each other the dirtiest things they could think of to make the other one laugh.

The following video is so hilarious I couldn't keep myself from literally falling on the floor laughing; Dave and Chris Mintz-Plasse from "Superbad" play the game and tell each other the dirtiest things imaginable.  If you think you've imagined it, you're wrong!

Oh... I forgot... if you're at work make sure you have headphones!

How Much Sleep Are You Getting?

Finally!  A chart that shows what I've been saying all along.  That majority of people only sleep 5-6 hours a day.  I tell this to people all the time: there was a study a while back that consisted of several hundred people, and over the course of this 30 year study they found that people who slept less, lived the longest, and those who slept 8 hours or more, croaked sooner.  Honest to God, it's True!

Flashback to the 1980's

On my way to work this morning, fumbling through the darkness in my car (I go in at 5 AM), I reached for my cassette case and pulled out the single by Taylor Dayne, "Love Will Lead You Back."

Okay, first things first...

Yes, I still have cassettes; you know, those little rectangular boxes with some tape running through it, like in the image to the right?  Well, the Toyota Avalon I got from Ryan's parents has a cassette player in it, and I thought I might as well utilize it; so hence, the reason I pulled out my cassette case.

Anyway, "Love Will Lead You Back," debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on January 27, 1990, but was recorded by Arista in 1989.  Courtesy of Wikipedia, the song, written by Diane Warren, is about a woman who is willing to set her lover free because she is confident that one day his love will lead him back to her: "Sometimes it takes some time out on your own now / to find your way back home."  Warren has stated that she began writing the song while in a hotel in Russia, and that she had originally intended the song to be offered to R&B singer Whitney Houston, but Arista Records president Clive Davis wanted to let Dayne record the song. It became Dayne's only Number One single.

While I'm sure they played this song on prom night eons ago, it was nice listening to an old track on cassette.  I don't know, there's something about hearing a cassette or record that makes it so different from the digital sounds that come from a CD or MP3 download. It's soothing.

Back to the Miss Dayne...  Just because she only had one #1 hit doesn't mean she was a one hit wonder.  She's actually had 17 Top Ten hits on the Billboard Charts, including most recently, her 2008 Billboard #1 "Beautiful".  Due to having a huge gay following, in July, 2010, she released "Facing A Miracle", the official theme song to the 2010 Gay Games. Dayne performed the song to an audience of 50,000 fans on July 31, 2010 in Cologne, Germany.

Let's take a "Flashback to 1989" and listen to "Love Will Lead You Back."

The Onion News Update: Small Town Throws Pride Parade For Only Gay Resident

WONN5 reports that hundreds turned out to support Pennington's single gay resident Paul Webster.

A Whole New Justin Bieber

Say what you will, but the boy is turning into a handsome devil.  With his new haircut, a new girlfriend, a cool new attitude, this boy has got it going.  But as the law of nature so says, "whatever goes up, must come down."

Unfortunately, this is so true of the many young celebrities who get involved with drugs and alcohol, And before they know it, they're in a huge ass mess.  Need I remind you of a young pop singer by the name of Aaron Carter?   This is part of Hollywood history, like Ricky Nelson, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Judy Garland, and so forth.  Most recently, Brittany Murphy, Heath Ledger, River Phoenix, Anna Nicole Smith, and the list goes on.

Please Bieb, make something of yourself.  And if it all comes crashing down, do Gay for pay, that always seems to bring in the big bucks.

Superman Returns as Dylan Dog

Everytime I see this man shivers run down my spine, and well... other things occur, but that's a different subject.

Brandon Routh returns to the big screen as Dylan Dog, a supernatural private eye who always dresses the same way, in a red shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans. The character is based on Italian horror comic series based in London.

In the upcoming movie, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, due out in theaters April 29th, Mr. Dog will be specializing in the affairs of the undead. His PI business card reads “No Pulse? No Problem.” Armed with an edgy wit and carrying an arsenal of silver and wood-tipped bullets, Dylan must track down a dangerous artifact before a war ensues between his werewolf, vampire and zombie clients living undercover in the monster infested backstreets of New Orleans.

If you haven't seen the trailer, you can now;  Besides, I'm more than sure you have no complaints seeing superman without a shirt.

Mind-Boggling News: Dog Has A Midnight Snack

Imagine waking up in the morning as you normally do, and notice you are missing three toes.  That is exactly what happened to a 61 year old man in Oregon.

OMG, I would totally freak out if my little Chihuahuas (all 4 of them) were having a feast on my feet while I slept.  And when I'm tired, I'm tired, just ask Ryan (my partner), I'm literally in a state of cryostasis.

According to the Associated Press, the dog, which was a Shinu Ibu, ate the dogs toes "most likely out of instinct to help remove diseased flesh."  I'm sorry, but having diabetes is not diseased flesh, he just had numbness of the feet possibly.  In either case, the dog has been given up for adoption and "appears to be anxious."  Yeah, I would be too.

And You Thought This Guy Was Human

The Japanese are at it again.  Well, this time with the help of their Danish counterparts they have created their first ever Robot with a Goatee. The Geminoid DK, yes there's even a facebook page.  When I first saw the image online I thought he was human, but no, I was wrong.

American scientists were first when it came to the bearded robot, but like almost everything else, we are behind with the times. What is this country to do?  Lord, by the time our children have grown up, America will be the Land of the Lost instead of the Land of the Free.  We've fallen behind on the space race, with China on the verge of major space exploration.  In 20 years we'll no longer be the world's largest economy, our healthcare system is out of whack, and as far as education is concerned, we are in a downward spiral.  Instead of taking political terrorism or GLBT classes in college (sorry Guillermo), maybe we should be focusing on Math or Science.

Enough of my ranting, watch the creepy robot below.

True Blood Season 4 - Preview & Spoilers!!!

If you're a True Blood fan you have been longing for some blood.  Not being able to withstand the wait any longer you do crazy things, like bite the one you love at night while they're sleeping.

Well you no longer have to wait, there's a 30 second spot which was released a couple of days ago.  All you really see is Eric wandering around the forest like he's got amnesia,  Boo-hoo, give me some real action, like bring Godric back or something.  I guess Eric developed amnesia for being encased in cement, again boo-hoo.

According to online sources like True Blood Wiki, there will be plenty of new faces this season, along with our regular favorites like Pam and Nan Flanagan.  The new characters joining the lair are:

All of the following details below were revealed at PaleyFest this past Saturday in California. Do not read if you're not into spoilers, but I'm sorry I can't wait any longer...

No more Bill & Sookie
If you’re a big fan of these two together, I suggest you don’t read this paragraph. The emotional break-up from these two at the end of Season 3 will stick. Apparently, the road to reconciliation will be a long one and won’t happen quickly.

Who is Eric?
Following the plot of the novels, it seems like Eric will be losing his memory causing Sookie to be tied up in him. See? She won’t even be thinking about Bill. Not quite sure how Eric is to gain his amnesia but he will receive some help piecing his life together from a blonde fairy (wink wink).

Walking In a Fairy Wonderland
At the end of Season 3, we saw Sookie walking aimlessly in an enchanted fairy land. At the top of Season 4, Sookie will be back but there is something different. She will continue to find herself without Bill by her side. However, don’t expect to meet her fairy godmother this season.

Bring In the Witches
It has been rumored that Season 4 will be all about the witches. However, they are not going to be the bringers of evil. They will be an older entity. The witchy Kevin (Jesus) will return Lafayette’s boyfriend. They are still happy but is that because he is under Jesus’ spell?

Shifty Shifty
Sam had a little bit of a blowout at the end of Season 3 but is apparently getting another shot at love. His brother Tommy will also be back and up to no good. In addition to the witches being added this year, there will also be some more “shifters” added to the mix.

She’s Back…
She may have left in a flurry but have no fear, Tara will be back for Season 4. Where did Tara go? That will all be revealed and apparently, its pretty cool and fans will be surprised. Tara will be a lot happier and more stable this season. Its a new Tara.

Last Minute Spoilers
Arlene and Terry are still “evil-baby bound” and it is said that the problem will get increasingly worse as the season begins. Andy will get into some trouble of his own experimenting with the things that V left behind in the office. The fight between Bill and Queen Sophie-Anne will continue and some more characters will get involved.
