“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebook Shooting Father & CPS

Back in February I posted a video of a father who scolded his daughter by destroying her laptop.  And it wasn't just a simple disassembling of the device, he did it by shooting the crap out of it.  LOL.  If you don't remember, you can see the video here.

Well ever since that happened, Mr. Tommy Jordan has welcomed guests to his humble home; Child Protective Services and ABC Good Morning America to name a few.
“Yes they came. Of course they came,” Jordan exclaimed. “They received enough ‘Oh my God he’s going to kill his daughter’ comments that they had to.”

“At the end of the day, no I’m not losing my kids, no one’s in danger of being ripped from our home that I know of,” he added.
According to the article I read this morning, A CBS poll found that 78 percent of the public agreed with the Father's actions, 10 percent felt he went too far by shooting the laptop, and the remaining 12 percent thought that the way someone acts as a parent is nobody's business. What do you think? Did the father react appropriately? What would you've done differently?

Laugh of the Day: Waaaaaaaaaaah!

The next time you think about having a child, watch this video.  LOL.

This commercial aired several years ago as an advertisement for Zazoo Condoms, and it's absolutely hilarious!!  At first you think you're watching some innocent kid shopping at the grocery store with his dad, but what happens next is downright crazy.  Funny thing is, this actually happens.

The Hard Task of Being a Loving Parent: Father Scolds Daugther and Destroys Her Laptop for Facebook Status

Videos are going crazy-viral these days, and since this is going around I had to blog about it.
I honestly didn't know what to post this under, because I have two series that are currently running on my blog, "The Joys of being a Parent," and "The Woes of being a Bad Parent."

Obviously the parent isn't being bad, he's just trying teach his daughter a lesson after she wrote a harsh status update on Facebook about him, her mother, step-mother, and the "cleaning lady" he refers to as Linda.

So because there's no joy in having to punish or ground our kids, and the father was not being a bad parent, I will post this under, "The Hard Task of Being a Loving Parent."  It is a hard task.  What would you have done differently?  I respect my parents so much more today than I ever did for the scolding, grounding, spanking I received growing up, and there was no Facebook.  So just imagine. LOL.

Warning: Since this video seems to have gone crazy, I figure I'll post this notice. I'm going to read a letter my 15 year old daughter wrote. There ARE some curse words in it. None of them are incredibly bad, but they are definitely things a little kid shouldn't hear... not to mention things MY KID shouldn't say! OMG Hilarious! - Are We Home Yet

Our Future Is In Their Hands - Take 7

I'm over here LMAO, and I really shouldn't be.  But Jesus Christ, did he really have to slap his brother with an iPad?  Was that really necessary?  Granted, the boy who got slapped kept egging him on and on, but damn, when you watch this video you will see what I'm talking about.  Our future is in their hands, remember that. LOL.

Ungrateful Christmas Twits on Twitter

SA Goon Jon “Johnny ‘DocEvil’ Titanium” Hendren — who most recently convinced Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell to eat a whole bunch of eggs for charity — spent his holiday weekend using his popular Twitter account to catalog the Christmas complaints of Twits who were pissed off at Santa for not bringing them a car or the Apple product of their choice.

The Not So Joyous Part of Being a Parent...

Yeah.  If I would have done this in the store when I was a child, my ass would be in the meat grinder when I got home.  I know, different place, different time. But Geezus, can someone give this kid some Valium please? I would be lucky if I got Garbage Pail Kids.  Pokemon, really?

"I DON'T WANT TO MAKE A DEAL ANYMORE! AND I AM LEAVING!"

So, who has ever watched the show "Wife Swap?"  I've seen it twice, and I'm not even sure if it's still running?  The premise of the show was for two families to swap their wives/mothers for a week or two.  But it wasn't just any family, it was a family who lived a totally different lifestyle from the other. In other words, a neat and tidy family would swap their mother for a very unorganized and messy one.  I remember catching a clip of a rich mother swapping places with a poor one, and OMG the drama that ensued. It's actually a hilarious reality show.  But ohhh so crazy, it's real.

Let me introduce you to Curtis...

Curtis is used to eating whatever he likes.  If there is one thing you don't do in life, it's throwing away Curtis' food.  Sure enough, his new mom, Joy has some great nutrition advice for the family - throw away all the junk, and unhealthy food from the house in order to live a healthy lifestyle. But the moment she tries to get rid of his bacon, that's when things start to get ugly...  He starts throwing a huge tantrum and gives a big speech on how no one is going to throw away his bacon.

Check out the hilarity below.

"She's gonna try and stop me, but she can't run in those little high heels"

LMAO!

The Woes of Being a Bad Parent - I'M NOT A FREAKING FISH I DON'T NEED TO SWIM!

Last week I posted a video on my segment, "Are People Really This Stupid?" that drew a lot of attention from several of my readers, and from those on YouTube.

It was about a boy named Stephen who wanted to get a tattoo for his 18th birthday, and went ballistic on the tattooist as he started to ink him.  While some people on the internet feel that the videos Stephen and his brother tape are staged, I begin to wonder if their parents are actually bad parents. Maybe you can help me with this...

In the following video, Stephen is out in the pool area with his parents as they try to teach him how to swim.  After arguing about the importance of swimming, his father pushes him into 4 foot of water where he begins to flap around as if he's drowning.  Once he gets out, he throws a lawn chair at his dad in the pool, curses at them and flips them off.

As he walks away he yells at his parents, "I'M NOT A FREAKING FISH I DON'T NEED TO SWIM!"

Even if the videos were staged, which I don't know if they are, would you allow your children to act this way?  One commenter on YouTube wrote: "Spoiled Brat....he acts like he's 4 years of age with the tantrums he throws." and another wrote, "i wish dad would smack the shit out of this faggot."

What are your thoughts on today's issue of The Woes of Being a Bad Parent?
