GM released the following ad during the Olympics and it was absolutely fantastic! I truly never understood "900 miles between fill-ups" until I became a Chevy Volt owner. And boy am I proud of our decision to purchase one. I can't even remember the last time I put Gas in my car. Oh yeah, it was around Christmas, when I went to visit family. 2075 EV Miles and counting... Check out the ad here.
So what is Coca Cola famous for, aside from the bottle and the red and white colors? Sharing. Yep. You've seen the countless ads about "sharing a coke", but I promise you've never seen anything like this. Much like "The Thinnest Vending Machine In The World" I introduced you to last month, you will think this video is cool. Check it out, because you may find yourself sharing a coke sooner than you think.
As real as it is, this ad will either garner Dr. Ryan Lee new customers, or keep them from ever visiting a Chiropractor in their life. LOL. Seriously, what was he thinking? On a side note, is it me, or are all these girls young and beautiful? Oh Dr. Lee.
The following British commercial for the juice drink, Robinsons, starts off with two friends hanging out with each other. As the day goes on, they kick the ball, run after each other, and play Star Wars. When the day reaches it's end, the two boys call it a night.
Are they friends or something more... The outcome will surprise you. Check it out.
Wasn't I just talking about being a recovering Diet Coke addict yesterday? And then this damn Slender Vender commercial appears on the screen, and I'm craving Diet Coke all over again! I hate you!!!
All that aside, the vending machine, which dispenses small aluminum bottles, is pretty cool. Check out the video below - it has a catchy tune.
I thought this promo to Monsters University was darn adorable. It plays out like a familiar university recruitment commercial, monsters included.
The latest movie is a sequel to the blockbuster hit, Monsters, Inc., out this summer. I can't believe it's been 12 years since the first movie was released.
OMG, can you imagine the outcry from Conservatives and Christians alike if a similar commercial were to air in the United States? Hell, we can't even get a cheesy-ass Doritos commercial without fear of retribution. Well, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh. We did just see Will & Sonny make love on Days of Our Lives.
But now that we know how Finland advertises their ice cream. What are we going to do with our Blue Bell here in the U.S. Lol.
Check out the ad, it's pretty darn cool and, uh, a little gay.
Talk about a brilliant commercial. The advertisement below follows a boy and a girl from the moment of their first kiss all the way through their
life together, and finishing with old age. The ad titled, "The Kiss" was made by studio Grey London for Vodafone. I encourage you to watch it - it will move you.
Clever or classy? Take your pick. I'm sure there will be those who absolutely hate it, because we know what "ship" really means. LOL. I think the recent ad from Kmart is pretty darn clever. Take a look and discover "shipping" your pants?
I saw this video the other day and I'd have to say it's one of the best Coca-Cola advertisements I have seen in my life. The ad is titled, "Chairs".
I remember drinking up to 6 diet cokes a night while watching our TV shows. Not only was this contributing to an unhealthy lifestyle, but it was hurting our budget at the same time. Ryan doesn't drink soft drinks, so it took me a while to learn. The ad is phenomenol, you have to watch it.
I'd have to say the did a terrific job of telling us what we should do with our lazy asses. Stand Up!
Check out this cute 30 second ad by Oscar Mayer - it's really funny. Well, only if you have grandparents that act like them.
I have one grandmother through marriage left, but watching this made me think of my grandfathers who were both goofballs in their own right. LOL. Loved it.
Whether you're a mother, grandmother or even a father, having a child is A Very Special Moment, and this video is the reason why.
You may have seen the following commercial last summer during the Olympics, or possibly you never have. In either case, now you have the chance to watch it again, or for the very first time. Many "thank-yous" go out to Proctor & Gamble for paying tribute to our mothers in this intimate advertisement. Be warned.. you may shed a tear.
In honor of Little Darth, I'm re-posting this video on my blog. You may remember Little Darth from the Volkswagen commercial during the Superbowl in 2011. If you've never seen it, you can see it here. It's a real hoot!
7-year-old Max is having open-heart surgery today to repair a congenital heart defect. If you haven't read about this, I highly recommend this article. He is a brave little boy who has been contributing his time raising money for other children with heart defects. We pray that he pull through his surgery with flying colors!
I'm posting this video, because I've already received several messages as to why I haven't done so. My partnerRyan saw a TV spot the other night while we were watching The Walking Dead, and he thought it was really cool. Little did he know that Cartier's short film/commercial ran a little longer than than the 30-second TV spot he witnessed (3-1/2 minutes to be exact.).
The advertisement is quite a magnificent piece of work. I cannot imagine how much it cost to make, but I'm sure it cost a pretty penny. Then again if you're Cartier, money is no object. The stunning graphics, CGI and art will take your breath away, alongside the beautiful Jewelry, of course. It's no wonder they've been around since 1847.
YouTube Description: Discover the new Cartier film, a journey between dream and reality. For the very first time, Cartier has decided to create a cinema epic focusing on its history, its values and inspiration, its artistic and universal scope.
When I saw this video I started to laugh, then giggle, then smile, and then nothing...
Why? Because the promotion is actually true! The Dollar Shave Club does exist, and if you are one who spends hundreds on razors every year, this may benefit you. Seriously. For $1 a month you get 5 cartridges shipped to your door. You will no longer have to shop for the damn things or spend a horrendous amount of money that simply goes to Rafael Nadal. LOL.
Trust me, you'll enjoy the video, check it out here.
YouTube Description: Dollar Shave Club couldn't be simpler. Select one of our great razors, pay one low monthly fee, and we send 'em right to your door. No more over-paying for fancy brand name shave tech. No more forgetting to buy your blades. Check out http://www.dollarshaveclub.com
Wow, this has got to be the best advertisement I've seen so far this year, it definitely surpasses the 2012 Superbowl ads. The following ad is for The Guardian newspaper over in the U.K., and it uses the famous fairy tale, The Three Little Pigs to demonstrate how their news team would cover every angle of a crime.
So pretty much, the 3 little pigs are arrested for boiling the Big Bad Wolf alive which in turn causes a huge controversy expanding to every social media network available, the public gets in on it, and the pigs go to trial.
Overall, The Guardian covered the crime, did a pretty damn good job getting their message across, and the video has gone viral within a matter of days. You can't get any more awesome than that.
If you've never been a pet owner please don't ignore this post, hopefully it will make you understand why pet owners treasure their pets so much.
When I got my first precious and lovable chihuahua I never understood what love for a pet was until two years into my relationship with my previous partner. My dog comforted me when things were going so very wrong in 2003, and then again in 2005 - I never thought I could recover. Princess was there by my side and understood my pain when I didn't think dogs could even feel.
Dogs do feel - they understand you and they are there for you when you need them most. It reminds me of a quote I read once, "Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them - filling an emptiness we don't even know we have." And it's true. When I felt so empty and had nothing else to live for, she made me smile, made my day every time I came home, and fulfilled my life in more ways than she could ever imagine. After 9 years with me, she died in 2009 and to this day I still cry when I write or think about her.
Duchess
Ryan and I still have 4 chihuahuas in our household, Princess' niece, Duchess, her two great nieces Lady and Puffs, and her great nephew, Nacho. While I thought nothing could ever replace the void left behind by Princess, Duchess has taken her spot in her own way. Lady, Puffs and Nacho hang out with Ryan the most, and rightly so, those are his little "miracle" monsters. But that's a whole 'nother story.
Last night, Ryan and I were watching Glee - it was a tearful episode. And as usual, every time I start to sniffle or shed a tear, Duchess will instinctively come up and lick the tears off my face - she doesn't like to see me cry. She will also defend me against Ryan when he pretends to lift a finger and scold me. It's the most amazing feeling ever, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
From left to right: Nacho, Puffs, and Lady
Watch this awesome, awesome commercial from Purina, because I truly believe it, "Inside every good dog is a great dog".
Instead of sending flowers, send him or her a Hug-E-Gram.
That's it! I'm quitting my job and inventing crazy crap like this. I can't believe that this infomercial actually exists, better yet, that someone is getting rich off this product.
I seriously cannot see myself sending Ryan a cloth-wrapped swimming pool noodle with Mickey Mousehands, and the product's name printed on it. Are you kidding me? He would slap the shit out of me. LOL. On the other hand, he'd probably think it was cute.
Aye, Aye, Aye, this is worst than the Snuggie and Pet Snuggie.
The next time you think about having a child, watch this video. LOL.
This commercial aired several years ago as an advertisement for Zazoo Condoms, and it's absolutely hilarious!! At first you think you're watching some innocent kid shopping at the grocery store with his dad, but what happens next is downright crazy. Funny thing is, this actually happens.
I swore I wasn't going to post any Superbowl commercials, but I have to talk about this one. As you probably already know, in the commercial you see a man driving his 2012 Chevy Silverado through an apocalyptic city. It's the end of the world, remember?
The driver continues maneuvering through the destruction as Barry Manilow's "Looks Like We Made It" plays in the background. He eventually comes across his buddies who all happen to own previous year models, when he asks, "Where's Dave?" And it's the response from this man that starts a mess of a battle between two of America's largest Automakers, "Dave didn't drive the longest-lasting, most-dependable truck on the road. Dave drove a Ford."
Well Ford wasn't going to have any of that. In fact, they tried to keep it from airing the day of the Superbowl by issuing a cease-and-desist order to NBC. But it didn't work. And now the CEO's are back and forth sending each other ridiculous letters that I found quite humorous. [source]
You know General Motors is having so much fun with this... they issued the following statement:
"We stand by our claims in the commercial, that the Silverado is the most dependable, longest-lasting full-size pickup on the road," said GM Global Chief Marketing Officer Joel Ewanick in a press release. "We can wait until the world ends, and if we need to, we will apologize. In the meantime, people who are really worried about the Mayan calendar coming true should buy a Silverado right away."
