“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Jaw-Dropping Time Lapse of Earth

I thought this video was mesmerizing and absolutely breath-taking.  Bruce Berry, takes videos and stills from Astronauts living in the International Space Station and "color grades, denoises, deflickers, slows down, and stabilizes the footage to create one of the most impressive time-lapse films you'll ever see,"  Check it out, it's pretty cool.

Your Weight In Outer Space

So here's a little something...

If you ever wanted to weigh less than what you weigh here on earth; Let's say 160 lbs. for example.  You may want to go to Mars where your weight would hover around 62 lbs..  Better yet, go to the Moon - you'll weigh 26, but whatever you do - don't go to Jupiter, you'll weigh a whopping 424 lbs.

Check out this chart provided by houseofhands, and find out how much you would weigh?

Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 27 - Why Do People Say The Earth Is Around But It Looks Flat To Me?

"My science teacher in school was talking about earth and that it is around. but the earth look flat to me?  If it is around then why does the sun go down at nitetime?  Woind't it by daytime all day if it was around?  I asked her how and she said something about the earth's evolution around the sun. my parents and my pastor said that evolution is not ture. so she must be lying about this to. i don't udnerstand how the earth can evolve since it was made by jesus. why would they say the earth is a ball if on the map it is flat? plz help"
You can hate me, I don't care, but are people really this stupid?  These are not 5-year-olds asking these questions, and even if they did, they would probably know the correct answer.

Lord have mercy on my soul! If you didn't know it before, you do now - Yahoo! Answers has all the answers you need, just ask it a question and people will chime in and give you one.

By The Year 2050...

click on map to enlarge
As I read up and share with you information about our world population, I've never really discussed overpopulation.  There's no doubt about it, we're growing at an alarming rate, and this plays a huge part on our ecosystem - the statistics and numbers are astonishing.  Earlier, we calculated what number we were in the world's population when we were born, we've looked at statistics as if the world were a village of 100 people, and we've looked at a video explaining how we got big so fast.

With the 7 billionth person born, check out Lapham's Quarterly, A magazine of history and ideas.  On their "Future" issue, they laid out a map (above) indicating the "very real" changes the Earth will undergo by the year 2050.  It's pretty amazing.  Check out these very real changes by clicking on the map.
