And let the covers begin...

Usually when artists release their music, people tend to make a cover of the song within several days or months.  Hell, even Justin Bieber and James Blunt tried to do a cover yesterday on Ellen.

But not this time...

Lady Gaga released her new self-titled track, Born This Way earlier this morning with positive and negative reviews.  Regardless of the outcry, within minutes if not a few hours, the hit single became the #1 Selling iTunes download in 21 countries.

And with the releases, come new versions...

First up:  Ulrik Munther - the Swedish version of Justin Bieber, has released a sample, and it's actually quite good.




Second Look: Drew Tabor - a you tube artist who learned and sang the song in 15 minutes and now considers "Born This Way" her favorite song to date.

Movies to Watch: X-men: First Class (First Official Trailer)

In one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, the first official trailer to X-men: First Class has been released.  And no one is more excited than my partner, Ryan.

While I'll wait to reserve judgement, the trailer does it's job of teasing the viewer. These are the characters, before they became legend...

Sue Ellen Ewing - Beautiful at 70

At 70, Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) looked absolutely fabulous in NYC Wednesday night.  According to The Daily Mail she walked the runway along with many other celebrities at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. 

For those who don't know much about it, Heart Disease kills a woman nearly every minute in this country and this show was meant to raise awareness for that reason; heart health. MD Anderson Cancer Center (where I work) also plan events and hand out Red Dress pins in support of this cause. Breast Cancer comes in 2nd to heart disease as the number one killer in women.





Linda Gray is preparing to make her big return to television, alongside Larry Hagman (JR Ewing) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) in the new Dallas series.  It is not a remake, the new series will follow the lives of JR and Bobby's sons, John Ross and Christopher Ewing.

Super hottie Josh Henderson will be playing the role of John Ross Ewing while Jessie Metcalfe will be playing the role Christopher Ewing.  The beautiful Jordana Brewster, Ghost Whisperer Jennifer Love-Hewitt, and Lost actor Josh Holloway are all expected to join the cast as well. I truly cannot wait!

BORN THIS WAY - SIMPLY PHENOMENAL!!!

Ironically enough, this is my groundbreaking 200th post of my new blog, BLADE 7184, and what better way to celebrate an achievement than writing about a phenomenal song.

If there is a better way to describe this track I would.  I felt a little reserved, because of the somewhat mediocre song that Britney Spears released, but this cries a true artist through and through.  I have never heard anything close to this creation.  It's upbeat, somewhat techno, somewhat club kids, somewhat retro mixed in together; it's what Gaga truly presents herself to be, an original.

The Lady writes and produces her own music and I can see why people are in such awe of her.  I have posted the vocals and the lyrics for your enjoyment.  She truly makes a Gay person, like myself, or any straight person for that matter, happy to be BORN THIS WAY.  Love it, I do.
