In June I posted how The Avengers should have ended, and it was absolutely hilarious. Well, now it's the Dark Knight's turn. LOL.
From the same fabulous guys who brought you Jurassic park: How It Should Have Ended, Return Of The Jedi: How It Should Have Ended, Super Cafe - The Super Social Network, and Super Cafe - Bat Phone, comes this hilarious re-telling of the blockbuster summer movie, The Dark Knight Rises: How It Should Have Ended.

Laugh of the Day: The Avengers' Halloween Plans
If this doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what else to tell you... or show you. LOL.
And yes, you have to look after the jump to see who they'll be dressing up as for Halloween this October.

Movies in Rewind: Thor as the Huntsman, Thor as Thor
I don't know, Ryan and I went and saw Snow White and The Huntsman last weekend, and well... I couldn't get past the Bella and Thor characters that Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart play. Unfortunately, they will have to face the backlash for playing those iconic roles for several years or for the rest of their lives.
The same went for actors in the past who have died, i.e. Christopher Reeve as Superman, or those who are still alive, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. The list goes on.
Regardless, the movie was entertaining. I will not spoil it for anyone. I just found these images online and had to say something about Thor and the Huntsman.

Album Cover Parodies
What if comic book characters were used as famous album covers? Well, they would probably look something like this..
German artist Uwe de Witt over at Deviant Art, created these pretty fabulous parodies. He also has a great blog, Spacelord, you can check out as well. I especially love Dr. Strange Pink Floyd

RuStorm on X-Men????
Since we're on subject of comic book characters...
"There is a great heated and fun discussion going on right now on the Comic Book Resources Forum about this question: Should RuPaul replace Halle Berry as Storm in the next X-Men movie? To me, it’s as clear as a lucite hooker heel – hells to the yes. Join in, won’t you?"

The Avengers: How It Should Have Ended
So let's start off our Saturday morning with a good laugh and how The Avengers should have ended. From the same fabulous guys who brought you Jurassic park: How It Should Have Ended, Return Of The Jedi: How It Should Have Ended, Super Cafe - The Super Social Network, and Super Cafe - Bat Phone, comes this hilarious re-telling of the blockbuster summer movie, The Avengers: How It Should Have Ended.
Absolutely hilarious! If you have not seen the movie, and plan to, then I don't recommend watching this. If you have seen the movie, and you didn't stay in your seat long enough for the funny ending at the end of the credits, you probably wouldn't get it either. And I also recommend watching the two short vids on the Super Cafe, The Super Social Network and Bat Phone provided if you haven't seen them yet. I provided the links /\/\/\ up there.
Have a look and Happy Saturday!

The Kitty Avengers!!!!
The Avengers are on top of the world right now, possibly on their way to beating James Cameron's top two movies, Avatar and Titanic. But kinda unlikely, I say.
In either case, the movie has taken the throne for 3 weeks, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon, unless Batman has anything to say about it. Oh wait, I think Brave, Spider-Man, and Prometheus will be coming out soon.
Here's a little humor for your day... The Kitty Avengers!!!!

Must Watch: Superman vs. The Hulk
I saw a video this morning on my Facebook newsfeed that blew me away. I attribute this to Facebook friend, Sean Hodges for sharing it. Thank you Sean.
Since we're on the subject of Superheros.... you're going to love all three of these videos - Trust me, you will. The artist is unbelievably talented, and I'd have to say a CGI genius. I'm going to download the videos before DC and Marvel get a hold of his work. You know there's always some type of legal ramification for this sort of thing.
How many of you have wanted to see two of the most powerful entities in the comic book universe square off in battle royale outside of the comic book pages? Since neither Marvel or DC Comics will cross their content streams in the world of movies–crossover comic stories don’t count; nor do video games–it’s up to the fans to provide what’s missing.
And that’s just what Michael Habjan did by bringing us installments of his “Superman vs Hulk: The Fight” series. There have been three of these installments of the fan-made series, with the latest one dropping earlier this week. Part one of the fight hit YouTube on June 11, 2011, and after over 4 million views, the incentive to continue with further “episodes” was obvious. It should be noted the series began with an introduction video before the fight episodes, acting almost as a trailer for the upcoming videos.
Note how Habjan made his Superman look like Christopher Reeve:
This led to the first episode of the fight, which dropped six months after the initial video, which gives you an idea about how long it takes Habjan to make these videos. Next up is the first installment of the Hulk/Superman throwdown:
For part two, Habjan concentrated on improving the look of the models he used for both Superman and the Hulk, and the results are noticeable:
Notice how it ends with something of a cliffhanger? Will the Hulk pound Superman into dust or will Kal-El be able to turn the tables and get the upper hand? Since Habjan has already indicated Part 3 will soon be available, it’s clear the fight between the two comic book power houses isn’t over. Not even close. As for the production and the credits, Habjan lists them over at video’s YouTube page, while acknowledging he’s not affiliated with either Marvel or DC. With that in mind, it’s a little surprising neither company has stepped in and issued a cease and desist request.

The credits, according to Habjan:This is the second part to my ongoing animation project, a tribute project to Superman and The Incredible Hulk. As you’ll notice, the models and overall look has evolved and will continue to do so in future sequences. I’m already working on a new look for the Hulk on the next one. I got professional help this time in the music and sound design department, provided by the talented Francois Gratecap, which has made the whole project that much better. So my thanks to him. Nerd Guide To New York City
New York City is one of the most vibrant and interesting cities in the world. As it is, tourists need more than a week to check off all the “must-see” sights, but the list just got longer (especially if you’re a super nerd).
An enormous nerdy collaboration over at BuzzFeed has resulted in this super cool NYC tourist map for movie-, comic-, television- and book-nerds that was headed by BuzzFeed member, Jack Shepherd.
Who cares about visiting the MOMA when you now know where to go to check out the GhostBusters original Headquarters! And why would you waste your time in a lineup to see the view from the top of the Empire State building when you can visit Dock Ocks of Spider Man 2′s Laboratory. It’s about time tourists got their priorities straight…thanks BuzzFeed nerds. We love you.

Movies in Rewind: Thor
Ryan and I had the pleasure of watching "Thor" this weekend, and I'd have to say it was a great way to start off the Superhero summer. Overall, I'd say the movie gets an 8 out of 10.
If you're not familiar with the story, Thor is an immortal god derived from Norse Mythology, and is a hammer-wielding god associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, destruction, fertility, healing, and the protection of mankind.
The Thor created by Stan Lee of Marvel Comics has been an ongoing member of the superhero team The Avengers. In the movie, Thor is thrown down to earth by his father, Odin from the planet Asgard. He was very arrogant and obnoxious so Odin felt he needed to learn how to be more humble and deserving of his hammer, which is the source of his might and power.
The movie, which also featured Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman, had some comedic elements to it too, plenty of one-liners and great special effects. On a side note, I couldn't picture anyone else playing Thor other than Chris Hemsworth - the producers made the right decision when picking him.
Plenty of surprises are in store for whoever watches this movie - like catching a glimpse of Jeremy Renner as The Avenger's Hawkeye, and if you wait to see the post credits you'll see Nick Fury make a return as the S.H.E.I.L.D. agent from the Iron Man Films. Most importantly, there's a scene which really shows the set up for Captain America and The Avengers, as it shows the cosmic cube while Erik Selvig is talking with Nick Fury.
Ohhh... and it also shows that Loki now has control over Erik Selvig.

Movies to Watch: X-men: First Class (First Full-Length Trailer)
Yesterday, the first full-length trailer to X-men: First Class was released, and I'd have to say it is so much better than the teaser they gave us in February. I have never been so excited about a summer, as Ryan and I will be this year. I'll be honest, I don't know much about the characters, because I was into He-man, She-ra, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Superman, The Transformers, and countless others when I was growing up. But after watching all the X-men movies, and now this one, I'm eager to learn more about their lives and their struggle to become X-men.
Oh and as a special treat, there is a UK version after the jump - make sure to check that out too!

Remember that hilarious Volkswagen ad which became the most viewed, and most popular commercial during the Superbowl - the Darth Vader one?
Well Marvel Comics thought it would be a good way to promote it's new movie, "Thor" in much the same way, and it is downright hilarious. Take a look.
