Britney vs. Ke$ha
On the left hand side you have Britney, on the right you have Ke$ha and just like a James St. James novel, it's not quite as cut and dry as you might think. Yes Britney's Britney and we love her, and Ke$ha's Ke$sha and we loathe her, but "Hold It Against Me" is lyrically lazy and every time she says "HAY ZAI" instead of "hazy" I just want to drag her to a speech therapist (I GET IT, IT'S HER THING, BUT REALLY... HAY ZAI?). Sure, I like Britney battling herself and Jonas Akerlund is always interesting, but I'm still not sold.
Ke$ha's video, on the other hand, has unicorns sipping champagne and James Van Der Beek in full-on Rules of Attraction mode, which is QUITE DEVASTATING. And for once Ke$ha doesn't look like she spent the weekend in a Burning Man port-o-potty. She looks rather fashionable, in fact. I even approve of the freckles.
So what do you think? Is it: A) Britney rules 4EVER, B) Ke$ha wins by a hair, or C) Neither, I'm just waiting for Gaga's "Born This Way" video to blow both bitches out of the water.

I Quote That - Crazy
I love this quote by Marilyn Monroe so much that I couldn't find a title for it. I think "Crazy" would suffice, wouldn't you say?

Toy Story Returns!
Just when you thought you finished watching the final installment of the Toy Story series, it returns with a bang. In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, images of Toy Story's "Hawaiian Vacation" surfaced.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the gang return in a series of shorts being released in front of the upcoming movies, Cars 2 and The Muppets. The first short will be released on June 24 in front of Cars 2.
An article from The Playlist states the following:
The short’s director (and former sound designer) Gary Rydstrom, who also made the Pixar short “Lifted,” said of the short, “Woody becomes kind of like what’s-his-name on “Love Boat”...Captain Stubing!” While that reference is going to fly right over kids’ heads, he also elaborates vaguely on the story. “As toys who get played with all the time, they have a pretty good imagination, when it’s time for a little playacting, they’re good at it.” As for the images, it looks like all of our favorite toys are back and we’re sure they will try to find a way to wring some tears out of us during their brief few minutes onscreen. If anyone can do it, Pixar can. You can check out the second image below and we’ll update the images when EW posts them online.

An Entertaining Dont Drink & Drive Video
Want to make a short movie? Why not turn your "Don't Drink & Drive" video into a 3 minute short film? That's exactly what the Danish did.
Made in Denmark, the video is rather graphic and not what you would expect from a PSA. It does make for great entertainment though. Check it out for yourself.

What Are Words?
I'll be the first one to admit. I haven't watched one minute of American Idol this season. Yes, I'm still bitter that my chosen ones didn't win the last three years. Crystal Bowersox in 2010, Adam Lambert in 2009, and David Archuletta in 2008. I told Ryan that 3 was the charm and I've kept my word.
But after hearing the song by eliminated contestant Chris Medina from American Idol 2011, we may just have to watch this season after all. The Top 24 have been chosen, which means we wouldn't have to sit through anymore agonizing weeks of auditions.
According to news sources, Medina was booted off the competition on Thursday night's episode in which the top 12 boys were chosen. And as quickly as he was booted off the show, he's been able to put together a song, a video and release date - all within 2 days. That is a record unto itself.
Chris performed his new single on The Jay Leno Show last night and has released it on iTunes to purchase. It is poignant, it is powerful, and it has made my love for Ryan much more stronger.

"What Are Words” is everything you’d expect it to be- it’s heartfelt and moving. It tells Medina’s heartbreaking story about his fiancee, Juliana Ramos’ tragic car accident and her subsequent brain injury. The poignant lyrics talk about Chris’ undying love and promises he made before the accident and how he’ll stand by those same words even during this difficult time. Here’s what he told to PopEater in an interview.
One of the changes that Season 10 has above the rest, is their new partnership with Universal Music Group, replacing Sony Music Entertainment. These people at Interscope Records are not going to sit by and let musicians pass them by. If they can make a buck here and there, why not? When he was eliminated on Thursday night he was told by famed producer, Rodney Jerkins that he wrote a song and wanted to produce it for Chris. Another change to the season is the addition of producers to the show who were there to mentor the contestants during the auditions.“It’s a song about making promises and fulfilling them, about telling someone you love that you’ll be there and having them be able to count on you because you said it. Because the words that you say really mean something. It’s a powerful song,”
