Gabby, It Does Get Better - You Will Get Better
On Sunday afternoon, Gabrielle Giffords released a video statement to her constituents, Congress and to America. I have finally come around to blogging about it today.
To think that a year ago this week, this lovely woman was shot down in front of hundreds of people, along with the killing of innocent bystanders and supporters of her campaign. And to know she managed to survive a gunshot to the head is a miracle in itself.
Our city of Houston played a major role in her recovery, and continues to play a part in her rehabilitation. We've watched her recover month after month, releasing pictures in June and attending a joint session of congress in the fall. But it's this video that will make your heart melt. In it she says, "I don't remember much from that horrible day, but I will never forget the trust you placed in me to be your voice," Giffords said. "I will return, and we will work together for Arizona and this great country."

Stop Texting While Walking!
While not as graphic as the texting while driving video I posted last year, it gets the message across.
Stop texting while walking!!! If you're going to text and walk, sit your ass down on a bench, or stand up against a wall. Geez, when are you folks going to listen.
Honestly, I never thought of it as a big deal, but now that I saw this PSA I can see how it can be rude. Hence, the reason you shouldn't text while someone is talking to you. Always give them your undivided attention. Furthermore, what's going to happen when you get run over?

Australia's Wonder Woman
Really? Here in the U.S. we can't find a Wonder Woman who's outfit is perfect from the "get-go" and the U.K. manages to do it on the first try. We can't find an actress good enough as Lynda Carter or beautiful enough to compare, and Australia has one in Miranda Kerr. Really America? What the hell is wrong with this country? We want our Wonder Woman movie and new television series dammit!

Hey Baby Girl - The Remix
If things couldn't get any crazier or funnier. OMG, this was hilarious, but even more creepy. I'm sorry Briona, but if you do exist (which I'm hoping you don't), and you're dating this guy, you need to run. RUN!! I'm telling you!
Remember the video I posted last week - the one where a strange boy professes his undying love for Briona? Well if you haven't seen the original, see it here and then you can watch this Remix version.

Doctor Doom's Armor
For all you comic geeks, I thought you'd like this post. It's an excellent infograph of Dr. Doom's Body Armor. I find it quite fascinating actually.

Quoted: David Grohl from the Foo Fighters on Trading Downloaded Music
“I think it’s a good idea because it’s people trading music. It has nothing to do with industry or finance, it’s just people that want music and it’s nothing wrong with that. It’s the same as someone turning on the fucking radio, it’s the same as someone putting a cassette in a cassette deck when the BBC plays a special radio session. I don’t think it’s a crime, it’s been going on for years. It’s the same as people making tapes for each other. The industry is more threatened by it because it’s the worldwide web and it’s the broader scope of trading, but I don’t think it’s such a fucking horrible thing. The first thing we should do is get all the fucking millionaires to shut their mouths, and stop bitching about the twenty five cents a time they’re losing.”

10 Misconceptions Rundown
We're back with another of life's lessons courtesy of CGPGrey. This time around, he goes over the 10 most common misconceptions we constantly are told to be true. You know, like your blood is actually red, cracking your knuckles will cause arthritis, or that bottled water is safer than tap water, blah, blah, blah. It's a great video, check it out you may learn a thing or two.
So without further ado, the man who brought us Coffee: The Greatest Addiction Ever, Daylight Saving Time, Pennies Should Be Abolished, 2012 & The End of The World, and Primary Elections Explained comes the second educational video of the year,"10 Misconceptions Rundown."
