“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Wonder Woman's New Costume

See what happens?  The moment I decide to go grocery shopping, breaking news develops!  When I got back, there was an email from my ex-boyfriend with a link to the new Wonder Woman costume.

In February we learned that Adrianne Palicki was going to be starring as the title character to the show, and just this morning I showed you pictures of Elizabeth Hurley as Veronica Cale on the set of Wonder Woman.  As you can see there have been a few changes to the costume, the shiny new tights, the blue boots (instead of the red), the extended bracelets and the full blooded lipstick.

Red alert! Or should we say blue? EW has obtained an exclusive first look of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — from NBC’s reboot of the classic 1970s series. What’s different from what we’ve seen before? Well, how about those shiny blue pants? And blue boots instead of red ones? Compared to Lynda Carter’s get-up, this body-hugging extravaganza de-emphasizes the patriotism and seems to play up the comic’s Greek mythology. And a special shout-out to those bracelets! Wonder Woman is being remade by Boston Legal writer David E. Kelley, who has incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the pilot. NBC promises the project, if picked up to series, will offer a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character. Along with Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me) and Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride) have joined the cast. Hurley’s character runs a pharmaceutical company that is creating a drug that makes people stronger while Elwes plays the CEO of Diana’s company, Themyscira Industries.
Honestly?  I don't know what to say.  I like it, but then again, I don't.  There is definitely no comparison when it comes to Lynda Carter's iconic costume, but I'm willing to give it a chance.  If it was any other writer besides the award-winning, David E. Kelley, I would probably fold after the first episode.

I'm still in shock really, this is too much news to take in one week. With my queen killed off by her daughter on Tuesday, and Glee's Kurt & Blaine kissing on Fox, who knows how my weekend is going to end.

Something tells me that no matter what David E Kelley does for Wonder Woman her true Linda Carter fans will never be satisfied. Oh well, I still can't wait to see what exactly he comes up with.
