Wonder Woman by Rainfall Films

If you ask me, I think studios and producers should start listening to their fans to make a Wonder Woman movie.  Lord knows Hollywood can't get it together.

Take a look at this short film by Rainfall Films and tell me it isn't cool.  I think it's pretty darn awesome.  I know most fans will never let go of Lynda Carter or Christopher Reeve for that matter, but people need to be more objective.

Check it out.

The Wonder Woman Trailer You'll Want To See

Don't lie.  All you gay boys are hungry for some Wonder Woman.  Even you straight folks who are into superheroes or superheroines.
Check out this awesome Wonder Woman trailer my partner Ryan shared with me last night.  You'd almost think that if a fan can make a trailer, why can't Hollywood get their act together and make our damn movie?!?!

Movies in Rewind: Thor as the Huntsman, Thor as Thor

I don't know, Ryan and I went and saw Snow White and The Huntsman last weekend, and well... I couldn't get past the Bella and Thor characters that Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart play.  Unfortunately, they will have to face the backlash for playing those iconic roles for several years or for the rest of their lives.

The same went for actors in the past who have died, i.e. Christopher Reeve as Superman, or those who are still alive, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. The list goes on.

Regardless, the movie was entertaining. I will not spoil it for anyone.  I just found these images online and had to say something about Thor and the Huntsman.

What If You're Superheroes Were Hip?

If you're a superhero fan, you'll love these great images, but they're not only creative pieces of art, they are Hipster Superheroes!  Yep, these superheroes are hip and no one will tell them otherwise.  Hipster Superheroes are derived from the creative geniuses over at College Humor and I have also included a video down below.

You have a hip Iron Man, Professor Xavier, Spidey, Hulk, Aquaman, Batman, and yes, even a hip Wonder Woman.

Nobody Is Immune To Breast Cancer...

For those who don't know, I work in Breast Cancer Research.  I have for the past 9-1/2 years.  The disease hits real close to home - I've had an aunt die from Breast Cancer, and it was not an easy thing to go through for my family.

I had another die from from Gynecological Cancer, and uncle from Lung Cancer.  This disease is despicable, ruthless, and unforgiving and can hit anyone, at any time.  So you can just imagine how I felt when I saw these posters, I absolutely fell in love with them.  And being that countless of superhero movies are released each and every year, I thought I'd share it to remind people that it doesn't matter who you are - you can be the President, Secretary of State, a pastor, a teacher, a school bus driver, a dad, a mother, a sister, a brother, the list goes on.  Nobody is immune to Breast Cancer - Nobody.

Australia's Wonder Woman

Really?  Here in the U.S. we can't find a Wonder Woman who's outfit is perfect from the "get-go" and the U.K. manages to do it on the first try.  We can't find an actress good enough as Lynda Carter or beautiful enough to compare, and Australia has one in Miranda Kerr.   Really America?  What the hell is wrong with this country?  We want our Wonder Woman movie and new television series dammit!

Wonder Woman & Madonna

All you gay boys are gonna love this, because what gay boy in America doesn't love Wonder Woman?  But imagine a video of Madonna and Wonder Woman together.  What more can you ask for in the repetitious twirling and spinning of our most favorite hero.

Henry Cavill Teases Us With His New Superman Outfit

I am really starting to miss Brandon Routh, my one and only Superman!  He was gorgeous, luscious, and oh, so tall and muscular.  Henry Cavill is hot, but I'm not sure the fish-scaled outfit he's wearing or if making Superman without red underpants was a good idea.
I don't know... the hair, everything about it, smells fishy to me.  And you all know how much flak we gave the new Wonder Woman outfit.  It never made it to the small screen.

Of course, the new Superman movie will hit the big screen, because too much money has been invested already, and the movie is almost done filming.  What do you think?  Do you like it so far?

Forever Our Wonder Woman!

If there's one thing conservatives hate, it's celebrities who have supported us us through the years. But what they really, really despise, is when they are as iconic as Lynda Carter. You are Forever Our Wonder Woman!

Wonder Woman Releases CD

Still looking beautiful at 59, the lovely Lynda Carter made an appearance at a Barnes & Noble CD-signing event.  Yes, she still sings.  Who knew, right?  Well, I did. I've known since I was a teen, because she was every gay boy's superhero growing up.  Everyone wanted to be Wonder Woman, everyone wanted to dress like Wonder Woman.  Hell, when my sister and I went to play outside, we would get into a disagreement on who would play her part.  And being the drama queen that I was, I would win. Needless to say, I was older. :-)  I just wanted to do that 'spin'. LOL.

In either case, Carter has been singing since she was 13 or 14 years old, and she sang all over the country during her years as Wonder Woman.

On her music and her Wonder Woman role:
'It is an iconic character, and if the way to connect with people is the way they feel they can connect to me. In many ways, because they can connect to me, they will sample my music'
She also stated she was disappointed at the collapse of the new Wonder Woman series featuring Adrienne Palicki.
'I was really happy they were going to re-do it because the story is a great story and it needs to be re-told and go to another generation of people,' she said. 'I was really disappointed it didn't work out.'

What a Hot Mess: The Wonder Woman Shorts That Could Have Been

The more I think about it, I'm so glad the new Wonder Woman series wasn't picked up.  After seeing this hot mess today, the show was bound for a disaster.

The actress, the costume design, just about everything was going wrong when it was thrown out by NBC.  I can't say much about the script, because I never read it, but after hearing from folks who have, I'm going to refrain from reading it.  I've have such a high regard for David E. Kelly, that if I were to find out he wrote a hot mess, I would be disappointed.

And what is up with those shorts?  The belt itself, covers the whole damn outfit!  Ugh! Why can't we get Wonder Woman off the ground!  The Justice League is nothing without Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman Was A Skateboarding Genius!

You see? This is the reason everyone has trouble writing a script, much less producing a movie or television show.

Lynda Carter was the one, and only Wonder Woman! She was a Skateboarding Whiz Too!

Will There Ever Be A Wonder Woman?

Why is it this female superhero can never fly off the runway in her invisible jet?  If people would stop comparing her to Lynda Carter's 1970's Wonder Woman, we may finally get somewhere.

I'll be the first one to admit, I wasn't too happy with a lot of the stories I was reading online.  From the terrible script to the god-awful costume - Adrianne Palicki and David E. Kelley couldn't convince NBC the pilot was worthy of a television series.  If this were to happen to TNT's Dallas, I would be devastated!  But since it isn't, I'm okay with this not coming into fruition.

Granted, there is still hope for some fans that it will be picked up by a cable network - but it's wishful thinking at best.  Hell, it's been 30 years since Lynda Carter donned the suit.  Maybe it's a sign telling writers and producers that Wonder Woman should be left alone.  Don't bother making a movie or a show, just let things be.

A Wonder Woman Update - Video Included

So is it a rumor if the president of NBC says something questionable?  Probably not.

We've already seen two previous versions of the costume Adrianne Palicki will be wearing as Wonder Woman, but our Amazon superhero could be sporting yet another costume - a 70's star-studded short similar to what Lynda Carter wore in the original series.   In a recent interview with TV Line, Robert Greenblatt took to defending David E. Kelley's remake of the famous superhero series, by saying  there could be a future "look" for Diana Prince.
"There was an initial outcry about the long pants - you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series]. But the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale (played by Elizabeth Hurley)."
In other developing news, yesterday Lynda Carter appeared on the daytime talk show, The Talk, looking as beautiful as ever.  She revealed that she had been in talks with David E. Kelley and refused to confirm whether or not she would play a role in the remake.
'I've talked to David E. Kelley, who's a brilliant writer, a number of times and we're hoping to plan something,' she said. 'But I cannot reveal.'
Asked what she thought of the new Wonder Woman costume, Carter grinned,
'I like my costume the best of course. They're trying to update with the way we're all doing leggings now and skinny jeans. I think it's kind of trying to do that. David E. Kelley is full of surprises, so you never know what's going to happen. He's a brilliant guy.'

Steve Trevor Has Been Cast In New Wonder Woman Series

Ryan and I watched a few episodes of the Knight Rider reboot that aired from 2008-2009, and to be frank, it wasn't as great as I expected it to be.  Once the car started changing colors and wishing it was a transformer - it started getting too bombastic for me; We eventually stopped watching it altogether.  But I can't say the same for Justin Bruening, the star of the show - he was a total hottie.  An actor and former Abercrombie & Fitch model, the 32 year-old was cast as Mike Traceur, the son of Michael Knight from the original Knight Rider series.

Since the show ended, Justin hasn't had much luck finding a new job, until now... well... that is until recently.

Bruening has joined the cast of the new Wonder Woman series which began shooting in March.  He will be playing the government agent (Steve Trevor) who crash-lands on the island of Themyscira and falls in love with Diana.  According to Deadline, in the new television series they've broken up and he's working as a lawyer in the Justice Department. Apparently they are not over each other.

If you ask me, they have done a great job with the casting of the new series, and I'm really looking forward to it.  This doesn't go to say that I don't have my doubts I'm just trying to stay optimistic.  My biggest thing is... how will the transformation take place?

Fan's Wonder Woman Costume Become's Reality

You asked for change, and you got it.  As you may recall, the new Wonder Woman series introduced us to it's new costume a couple of weeks ago, and the uproar was outrageous.  So much so, that a fan took it upon himself to tweak the colors a bit, and produced a costume worthy of a new show.  And listen, they did.

Not only did David E. Kelley and NBC change the color of her boots, they removed her shiny latex pants and replaced them with a much darker tone.  They also added the stars on her sides as well.

According to SplashNewsonline.com, in the following pictures, Adrianne Palicki shuts down Hollywood Boulevard as the new ‘Wonder Woman’.  The actress donned a tight red and blue outfit for action scenes filmed through the night on the famous street. One scene saw her running through cars as she chased a villain. In another she picked herself off the street after being hit by a car.

So what do you think?  Like the changes?  Personally, I do.  I didn't really like the latex-looking pants and the matching boots.  She needed to wear red ones, and lucky for us, they're listening.

And If The Queen Says It Shall Be, Then It Shall Be! - Part Deux

Who knew I would be using the same title for another post?

Lady Gaga made that statement on the Jay Leno Show, back in February, when referring to an email from Madonna and her people wishing Gaga luck on her latest single, "Born This Way."

This time around I'm using it, because If the queen (Lynda Carter) says it shall be, then it shall be!  On Friday, Mark Malkin from Entertainment Weekly sat down and talked to Lynda Carter and here's what she had to say...

"I think she looks fabulous," said Carter, who originated the role in the classic (and oh-so-campy!) series in the mid-'70s. "It's a new look and, jeez, her body looks fantastic."

Carter wants everyone to give Palicki a chance.

As hard as it was to read, I'm siding with Lynda on this. I'm going to give Palicki a chance, if not for David E. Kelley, for the original Wonder Woman herself.

Wonder Woman's New Costume

See what happens?  The moment I decide to go grocery shopping, breaking news develops!  When I got back, there was an email from my ex-boyfriend with a link to the new Wonder Woman costume.

In February we learned that Adrianne Palicki was going to be starring as the title character to the show, and just this morning I showed you pictures of Elizabeth Hurley as Veronica Cale on the set of Wonder Woman.  As you can see there have been a few changes to the costume, the shiny new tights, the blue boots (instead of the red), the extended bracelets and the full blooded lipstick.

Red alert! Or should we say blue? EW has obtained an exclusive first look of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — from NBC’s reboot of the classic 1970s series. What’s different from what we’ve seen before? Well, how about those shiny blue pants? And blue boots instead of red ones? Compared to Lynda Carter’s get-up, this body-hugging extravaganza de-emphasizes the patriotism and seems to play up the comic’s Greek mythology. And a special shout-out to those bracelets! Wonder Woman is being remade by Boston Legal writer David E. Kelley, who has incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the pilot. NBC promises the project, if picked up to series, will offer a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character. Along with Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me) and Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride) have joined the cast. Hurley’s character runs a pharmaceutical company that is creating a drug that makes people stronger while Elwes plays the CEO of Diana’s company, Themyscira Industries.
Honestly?  I don't know what to say.  I like it, but then again, I don't.  There is definitely no comparison when it comes to Lynda Carter's iconic costume, but I'm willing to give it a chance.  If it was any other writer besides the award-winning, David E. Kelley, I would probably fold after the first episode.

I'm still in shock really, this is too much news to take in one week. With my queen killed off by her daughter on Tuesday, and Glee's Kurt & Blaine kissing on Fox, who knows how my weekend is going to end.
