All you gay boys are gonna love this, because what gay boy in America doesn't love Wonder Woman? But imagine a video of Madonna and Wonder Woman together. What more can you ask for in the repetitious twirling and spinning of our most favorite hero.

This is cool and it makes me want to see the series with my love, despite all the cheesiness. What's sad is that Wonder Woman may never be redone, for fear of f*&king it up. Batman and Superman were even more ridiculous back in the day and even Spiderman had a crazy live action show for a short time, yet they all have gotten the royal makeover treatment in movies and film and have been successful in varying degrees. So why not modernize Wonder Woman? Because the fans won't let her go. I mean, the die hard fans that want a new Wonder Woman, aren't willing to accept the changes that Wonder Woman needs to make to be cost productive in this modern world. The easiest example is Linda Carter. Sure, she was the best woman for the job and probably still is, but she will not be Wonder Woman. Why? Wonder Woman may be really really old, but she doesn't look it, no offense to the beautiful Linda Carter. You also can not clone Linda Carter and redo the 70's all over again...if it was in fact the 70's but I forget. GET OVER IT!
Also, Wonder Woman is too confusing, and this is coming from a comic book super hero lover that has experienced some pretty out there fictional stories. You see, when it comes to super heroes both their powers and origins are usually pretty simple to grasp so that no one, especially younger kids that are seeing them for the first time, is left out due to confusion. Superman is from another planet, he's alien and the sun is his battery. Powers explained. Spider-man was a man, that got bitten, from a spider, and now has powers because it was a super spider. Powers explained. Batman has money so he can build cool toys. The 1%, before they became unpopular, explained. Even Green Latern has his ring, Captain America has the super soldier formula, and the Fantastic Four have cosmic radiation. As for their back stories, usually for the more successful comics, tragedy creates a hero: no more Kyrpton, no more Mr. and Mrs. Wayne, no more Uncle Ben, all to help show how we can relate to these super people. Others like the Fantastic Four, Green Latern and Captain America like Spiderman were still just everyday people we could somewhat relate to until they changed. So what's the problem with Wonder Woman again? From the little I've seen, here's what I can remember. She's an Amazonian queen that's been alive for a very long time and has super strength, agility, etc. Okay, kinda like Superman only she's not an alien cause she's from Earth, but another realm, I think. So to use her powers for good she goes to the human realm to help the rest of us all out. That's nice, but unfortunately in our world her powers won't work unless she has her Amazonian equipment like her tiara and bullet blocking bracelets, right? Okay, kinda like Green Latern now; without his ring he's in big trouble. So with all of that including her special truth lasso and invisible plane, like Batman's gadgets only magical, she heads off to America to stop crime and promote goodness everywhere....like remembering to wear a helmet while skateboarding. Okay so that last one wasn't really fair. Oh, I almost forgot, she has to spin to make it all work, like Superman in the phone booth only.....not.
Got that? Got my point? How the f*&k do you expect an 8 year old girl that may or may not buy a Wonder Woman doll and her toy invisible plane to understand all of that and somehow make sense of it? Wait, forget the girl. How do you expect a young adult of today's generation to accept the concept of a lasso of truth or a spin cycle to activate powers, or that an Amazonian queen is going to do good...just because she can. Parts of Wonder Woman have to be modified to be sellable to today's market. Give her a better reason for fighting crime or a villain to go up against. Change her outfit to be more this century as well as some of her functions for her powers. For instance, does she really need her gear to have her powers? Does she really need a lasso of truth? Does she really need the spin? Yes, I said it. Superman had a phone booth spin. The latest movie and TV series removed it completely or altered it enough to be less cheesy. It can be done. Change it or get rid of it but something has to be done about the spin. GET OVER IT! Either have a great new Wonder Woman or keep a hold of the past one, but you can't have both, fans, and until you begin to understand it then you'll never get to see her ever again. Well, in all this pessimism, there is actually one ray of light, from Asgard.
The only hope you have of getting back Wonder Woman is the success of Thor, the God of Thunder from another realm, whose power came from a mighty hammer which he used to vanquish evil and become a super hero. He was far fetched and out there, but he survived modern opinion and now has a movie franchise because he was slightly tweaked for today's audiences. Back in the day a completely different human, who was not Thor, picked up the mighty hammer and then became Thor. Too confusing? Yes. Why else do you think that part was changed? But despite the alteration, the story was still kept the same, along with his powers and mighty hammer and Thor survived. This proves that there is a possibility that most of Wonder Woman can remain the same with minor changes for the modern world to have it be a success. Can the lasso and spin stay? That I'm not sure of, but if someone can help make sense of it and pull it off looking fantastic, then why not. I'm still sticking with my original opinion, though. Wonder Woman is special and no one wants her to get f*&ked up, but unless we're willing to let her join us in 2012 so she can make lots of money with many movies and/or TV episodes, then we'll never get to enjoy her again.
There are no successful women super heroes now, and because of that girls and young gay boys everywhere will never have a woman hero role model they can admire and call their own. That, above all, will be the ultimate tragedy and not the possibility of not having a spin.
This is just blasphemy I tell you! Just blasphemy! How dare you tear down "The Spin". It's all about "The Spin" And no one will ever take her place. Lynda Carter will always be Wonder Woman!!!! :-)
