It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. Things We Can Do To Save The Environment - Issue No. 23 - Copy California

It's amazing how much can happen when a Democrat takes over.  California has quickly emerged out of a deficit thanks to Governor Jerry Brown.  It's no BS.  By the time Governor Schwarzenegger left office the state had a $25.4 billion deficit and within two years, the state now has a surplus of $851 million.  But politics aside, the Terminator did sign the world's largest anti-global warming law before he left office...

Giving credit to TIME,  I'd like to thank them for showing us the many ways we can help save the environment.  Just one person can make a difference, and it starts with YOU!

23. Copy California

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have signed the world's toughest anti-global-warming law, but it is Democrat Terry Tamminen, his environmental adviser, who is emerging as the state's real Terminator, winning industry support and the endorsement of a Republican Governor for a mandate to reduce the state's emissions 80% by 2050.

But thwarting climate change isn't a solo effort. Tamminen left his official post to build a national response to global warming one state at a time. "I am trying to Johnny Appleseed what California has done," Tamminen says. His goal is to create a de facto national climate plan out of individual efforts in the 50 states. "He is crisscrossing the country and spreading the word," says Karl Hausker, deputy director of the Center for Climate Strategies. "Terry gets state leaders interested in doing this." Hausker's nonpartisan, nonprofit group handles the technical details after Tamminen plants his seeds. Nineteen states have developed or are developing aggressive climate plans based on the work of Hausker's group and Tamminen. So much progress is being made at the state and regional level, Tamminen says, that "by the time that there is a new Administration in the White House, a majority of Americans will live in states with a meaningful plan that deals with the climate-change issue."

Wonder Woman by Rainfall Films

If you ask me, I think studios and producers should start listening to their fans to make a Wonder Woman movie.  Lord knows Hollywood can't get it together.

Take a look at this short film by Rainfall Films and tell me it isn't cool.  I think it's pretty darn awesome.  I know most fans will never let go of Lynda Carter or Christopher Reeve for that matter, but people need to be more objective.

Check it out.

Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 38 - Mother Tosses, Flips and Tortures Baby

I don't know how old this video is.  But supposedly the FBI and others are looking for this Mother.

Quite honestly, this is one of the most disturbing videos I have ever seen.  And yes, unfortunately there are stupid people in the world.  But this goes beyond that...  I don't know...  is there anything worse than being stupid?

Look, I'm not one for violence.  Really, I'm not.  BUT CAN SOMEONE KILL THIS BITCH!

Arrrrrghhhh!!  I am sharing and posting this video online so that if anyone knows or sees this person can report her right away.

The Hard Task of Being a Loving Parent: Grandfather Lambasts His Daughter

I had the pleasure of reading this terrific letter from a Father to his daughter who kicked her "gay" son out of the house.

But I also find it rather disturbing that a mother can simply turn of their "love" switch and forget they raised a child since birth; Loved and cuddled with them since they were little, and yet their hatred for being born a certain way engulf them to the point of stupidity.

Our Sweet, Gay Hearts Are Filled With The Colors of the Rainbow

To echo the Huffington Post: DING! DONG! DOMA IS DEAD!

But not just the Defense of Marriage Act, but the rights of Californians to marry their significant other was re-instated.  What a beautiful day it is!

No matter how you look at it, we will forever be part of history.  We move from this day forward to a brighter and more vibrant future than ever before. Where the colors of the rainbow will dwell in our hearts and souls for a lifetime.  Where we can live with another, gay or straight and be happy with the ones we love.

Yes, my partner, Ryan and I live in the state of Texas, and as disappointed as we may be that gay marriage is not allowed in this state, today's rulings give us hope that it will come soon, very soon.  I love the state in which I was born and the city in which I live, and moving is not something I would ever contemplate of doing. But today is a big step forward for ALL Americans, as we are equal in the eyes of the Lord and this country.  God Bless us all!

Elements & Country of Discovery

So if you're into the Elements, you'll especially love this Periodic Table of Elements arranged by the country that discovered them.

The scientists who discovered each element are shown using the flag of their respective country, and with the help of PhD student, Jamie Gallagher, we have a beautiful table of elements.

25 Things About Superman You Didn't Know

Virgin Movies put this infographic together prior to the release of Man of Steel, and I thought I would share it.  And there are several things I didn't know.  Like Gene Hackman refusing to cut his hair and Marlon Brando refusing to learn his lines.  Pretty cool stuff.  Check it out.

The Beer Can Concealer!

LMAO, this is for all you sneaky little bastards!  You know who you are; the ones who try to hide what they're drinking.  Well, now you can buy you're very own beer can cover.  Yup, cover it up with a Coca-Cola sleeve; though I wouldn't waste my money paying $7.90 for one, I would just "make my own" if I were you.

Improv Everywhere: The 1860s Bar

If you've never heard of Improv Everywhere, you're missing out on some pretty chaotic stuff.  They're actually pretty fun to watch, and the stuff they come up with are pretty hilarious.  One of the last videos I posted from them was "Meet a Black Person", where they put up a stand in Aspen, Colorado with an opportunity to meet a black person.  Keep in mind, Aspen's white population is 90%.  The reactions by several passer-by were hilarious.

Yesterday, the Improv crew posted a video online titled, The 1860's Bar, where they completely transformed a local bar in Brooklyn, New York to match the era.  They literally turned the clock back 150 years and invited a couple friends who had no idea what they were walking into. LOL.

Things We Can Do To Save The Environment - Issue No. 22 - Skip the Steak

I don't think giving up steak is on my list of helping the environment, but if it's something you've been thinking about doing, then by all means - quit it.  Seriously; all the cows in the world are warming up our planet faster than the millions of cars we drive in.  But it isn't just the cows - it's the sheep, buffalo and any other animal that takes a crap and releases nitrous oxide.

Giving credit to TIME,  I'd like to thank them for showing us the many ways we can help save the environment.  Just one person can make a difference, and it starts with YOU!

22. Skip the Steak

Which is responsible for more global warming: your BMW or your Big Mac? Believe it or not, it's the burger. The international meat industry generates roughly 18% of the world's greenhouse-gas emissions—even more than transportation—according to a report last year from the U.N.'s Food and Agriculture Organization. Much of that comes from the nitrous oxide in manure and the methane that is, as the New York Times delicately put it, "the natural result of bovine digestion." Methane has a warming effect that is 23 times as great as that of carbon, while nitrous oxide is 296 times as great.

There are 1.5 billion cattle and buffalo on the planet, along with 1.7 billion sheep and goats. Their populations are rising fast, especially in the developing world. Global meat production is expected to double between 2001 and 2050. Given the amount of energy consumed raising, shipping and selling livestock, a 16-oz.T-bone is like a Hummer on a plate.

If you switch to vegetarianism, you can shrink your carbon footprint by up to 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide a year, according to research by the University of Chicago. Trading a standard car for a hybrid cuts only about one ton—and isn't as tasty.

Cosplay Piano: The Walking Dead, Batman, Superman, Game of Thrones

If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Batman, or Superman - you'll truly enjoy these videos.  Award winning pianist, Sonya Belousova and Director Tom Grey are the geniuses behind these musical arrangements.  While The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones vids are a bit more elaborate, they're all great nonetheless.  The Game of Thrones piece is my favorite.

Republican Senator's Teenage Son on Gays, Blacks and Jews

Ahhh, it's those little things in the news you don't hear about too often.  Republican Senator, Jeff Flake had to publicly apologize for his son, Tanner, because he obviously didn't know his son was racist, anti-semitic or homophobic.  And to think he raised a boy for 14 or 15 years without ever realizing any of this... hmmm...

So the boy starts off by saying that a faggot stole his dirt bike from a church parking lot.  He goes on to say he will find him, and beat the crap out of him.  He jokes about a friend stealing one-liners because he's Jewish and loves to play "Fun Run" on Facebook with his favorite screen name, "n1ggerkiller".

“I’m very disappointed in my teenage son’s words, and I sincerely apologize for the insensitivity. This language is unacceptable, anywhere. Needless to say, I’ve already spoken with him about this, he has apologized, and I apologize as well,” Sen. Flake
Seriously, how much you want to make a bet, there's many more of them?  Racist, homophobic, teenage sons from Republican Senators.
And Tanner Flake's You Tube comments reveal something even more sinister... He hates Mexicans. LOL.  But I'm going to say anyone with dark skin at this point.

“a reader sends in a sampling of Tanner Flake’s comments from YouTube.”
“you faggot retard pussy piece of crap i hope you die in a hole slowly and painfully”
“you gay fag ni**er go shoot yourself because no body likes you”
“Mexicans are the scum of the earth.”
“Then some ni**er started rapping and I looked at her album art and saw that it was Flo Rida.”
“IT’S THE NI**ER FAMILY!!!!”
“Stupid little ni**er”
“go die in a hole you stupid ni**er”
“The black guy always fails first…”
“Yes, because one white dude goes nuts. No. Black people do crap like this all of the time.”
“When he called himself a cheap jew i loled hard”

Gay of Thrones: Game of Thrones Episode 10 Season Finale Recap

"WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS???"
So by now, you should have watched every episode of Game of Thrones.  I even gave you an extra week after the season finale to catch up. LOL.

Well, it's the finale of the Game of Thrones recaps and our favorite gay hairdresser, Jonathan is back with a shocker you won't want to miss.

Warning: The following video contains vulgar language and may not be  suitable for children.

Healthy Recipe Substitutions

This is absolutely crazy.  And I don't mean it in a negative way.  I mean it in the sense that I never thought you could use prunes or avocado instead of butter, or vanilla extract instead of sugar.  I've heard about some of the substitutions in this infographic, but a majority of them are new to me.

In in the end, this is all about having a healthier heart and living longer, so check it out.  Click the infographic and visit Greatist for a clearer image.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 64 - Your Life As A Dog

What would my life be like if I was a dog?  For one, I would eat more and see better at night.  But now I feel bad for my little babies, because I'm sure the surround system in our house is twice as loud for them.  Hmmm, then again, they sleep soundly when Ryan and I are watching a movie.  LOL.

Back In The Day - Judy Garland and The Supremes

$1, really?  Hell, even the 2, 3, 4 and 5 dollar ticket prices sound amazing.  Talk about a deal.

Ironically enough, the vintage ad is for a concert at the old Astrodome here in Houston.

If only the ticket prices still existed. LOL.  As for the Astrodome, it's still standing; for now.

Daddy's Hands

My father taught me how to take an engine out of a car, take it apart and put it back together.  And being a Farmer's son, you can only imagine the chores I had to do.  I am blessed to have a father who accepts me for who I am, loves the man I have been with for the past 8 years and inspired me to be the man I am today.  I love you daddy, and the hands I will always find comfort in.  Happy Father's Day!

A Very Special Moment - Issue #11: A Piece of Chalk

Someone posted this video on Facebook last week, and I wanted to use it for this segment.

What makes this piece "A Very Special Moment" is it's inspiring message through dance.  Much like musicians or anyone who loves to sing, dancing gives you a place to go, a place to find solace and comfort when we need it most.  Whether it's helping us overcome challenges or relieving stress, singing and dancing are mediums that impact our lives.  The video is a little over 3 mintues long and was produced by four young filmmakers from Germany (see Mashable.com).

Justen Beer, the protagonist in the video, plays a boy facing challenges at home, as his parents argue all the time and is faced with classmates bullying and harassing him at school.

Justen takes a "Piece of Chalk" and the story commences.  I won't say more, but I promise you, it's absolutely amazing and heart-felt.  You Must Watch!

Poster of the Week - Issue No. 65 - Adventure

In no particular order, I bring you this week's poster, "Adventure".

What a Hot Mess: Hello, Entertainment Weekly? Where's Brandon Routh's Glory as Superman?

I'm sorry, but this is a hot mess.  Literally!  I just received my Entertainment Weekly in the mail and I'm disgusted with this magazine.  I think I'm going to quit it after this debauchery.  How do you cover Superman with 75 years of glory and not put the man who played him last, Brandon Routh?  Seriously, he was hot, perfect, and did exceptionally well as Superman.  I wasted my time watching Tom Welling on the CW's Smallville and he didn't even don the cape until the very end, and just barely.  Superman Returns actually made more than Batman Begins, grossing over $400 million dollars, so the movie didn't bomb.  And while everyone wants to blame it on Routh, the blaming goes much higher than that.  Regardless if the writers and producers didn't want to make it into a franchise, the man deserves credit where credit is due.  This is just absolutely wrong! One Hot Mess indeed!

Jaw-Dropping Time Lapse of Earth

I thought this video was mesmerizing and absolutely breath-taking.  Bruce Berry, takes videos and stills from Astronauts living in the International Space Station and "color grades, denoises, deflickers, slows down, and stabilizes the footage to create one of the most impressive time-lapse films you'll ever see,"  Check it out, it's pretty cool.

Just Sayn'

LMAO.  This is for all you dads who have daughters and you want to make the perfect pony tail.  A little pre-Father's Day humor.

Movies To Watch: Diana

It won't be released until the fall, but it's already causing a lot of Oscar buzz.  This and a list of other great movies that are set to be released over the summer and fall.  While many are criticizing Naomi Watt's portrayal of the "People's Princess", I for one, think she looks great.  Check out the teaser trailer for Diana and tell me what you think...

Troll of the Day: Tired of Junk Mail?

This is absolutely hilarious.  But it's sooo wrong!  And you're a Troll if you do it.  I already know a few of you that would.

Evolution of Get Lucky

In April I posted a video titled the Evolution of Music which consisted of a medley of Pentatonix's favorite songs.  This time around, PV Nova take Daft Punk and Pharrell's, "Get Lucky" and do something similar.

They take the song and change the music to reflect the decade, starting with 1930 until the year 2020.  It's pretty cool, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The 70's and 80's were perfect!

A Hot Mess of Really Stupid People: National Anthem Sparks Racist Tweets

Once again I'm stuck between a "Hot Mess" of "Stupid People".  I swear, some people have nothing better to do with their lives.

Not sure if any of you watch America's Got Talent.  Ryan and I do, so we clearly know the 10 year-old Mariachi singer, Sebastian De La Cruz, who sang the National Anthem during the SPURS game last night.  Well, even though the little lad is American, it didn't stop the racism from coming out.  These idiots clearly do not know they're ancestors were immigrants themselves or slaves at one point.  The following images are courtesy of publicshaming.tumblr.com

“#GoHome.” He’s already home. He lives in San Antonio. The same San Antonio where the majority of the population is Mexican.

OK THERE, “THE GREAT WHITE.”

“I’m highly upset that THIS MEXICAN KID is singing the anthem.” lmao. Wait a few years Grace and tell us how you feel when the majority of the country is Hispanic. I look forward to hearing from you then!
