Movies To Watch: Diana

It won't be released until the fall, but it's already causing a lot of Oscar buzz.  This and a list of other great movies that are set to be released over the summer and fall.  While many are criticizing Naomi Watt's portrayal of the "People's Princess", I for one, think she looks great.  Check out the teaser trailer for Diana and tell me what you think...

Whitney Houston SPARKLE Sneek Peek

Whitney Houston had just finished filming her fourth movie right before she died.  It has now been set for an August 2012 release.  The movie, titled Sparkle, is a remake of a movie with the same name, inspired by The Supremes.  The movie also stars Jordin Sparks, Cee Lo Green, Mike Epps and many others.

The Plot:  Musical prodigy, Sparkle (Jordin Sparks) struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. From an affluent Detroit area and daughter to a single mother (Whitney Houston), she tries to balance a new romance with music manager, Stix (Derek Luke) while dealing with the unexpected challenges her new life will bring as she and her two sisters (Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter) strive to become a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era. [ref]

It truly is sad, because she was really looking forward to this.  She felt this was the much needed boost she needed to help her struggling career.   You can check behind the scenes footage that has also been released below.

Movies to Watch: Jack The Giant Killer

The fables continue in Hollywood, and with it, a beanstalk.  They didn't want it titled, "Jack and The Beanstalk" so they went with "Jack The Giant Killer" instead, because that sounds so much better. Okay, okay, I know it's based off the book of the same name, and pretty much a remake of the 1962 movie.  But as a kid we knew it as "Jack and The Beanstalk".

And as far as fable movies go, you may have heard there are 2 different versions of "Snow White" being released in 2012, as if there weren't already plenty of them to begin with.  But to each their own.

Watch the trailer below, and tell me what you think?  Is it worth the $9 or $11 ticket price? Would you go and see it?  For starters it doesn't consist of damn vampires, and it stars cutie, Nicholas Hoult as Jack.

Synopsis:

No One Understands What They Are

Not sure what to make of this movie, you take a look and tell me what you think. I grew up with these characters, and don't know if the producers could have done a better job.
