Movies To Watch: San Andreas

While the plot of the movie is so stereotypical - Father goes out of his way to save daughter across the state; The special effects would be something I'd like to see on the big screen.  Poor Californians though, they can never get a break.  If it's not DC getting blown to bits, it's the Golden State falling into the Atlantic.

Movies To Watch: Diana

It won't be released until the fall, but it's already causing a lot of Oscar buzz.  This and a list of other great movies that are set to be released over the summer and fall.  While many are criticizing Naomi Watt's portrayal of the "People's Princess", I for one, think she looks great.  Check out the teaser trailer for Diana and tell me what you think...

Movies to Watch: Romeo & Juliet

So yeah, I think I'm ready to watch Romeo and Juliet.  The upcoming movie stars Douglas Booth as the ever so gorgeous Romeo and Hailee Steinfeld, the very beautiful Juliet.  

I happen to agree with James St. James, he is the dreamiest Romeo since Leonardo Di Caprio, played alongside Claire Danes in the 1996 film rendition of the same story.

The new movie, is going to be pretty darn cool.  Ryan and I can't wait to see it.  Here's the synopsis...

In the 16th Century, young writer William Shakespeare is grappling with the story of his latest play, Romeo and Juliet. William's vivid imagination hurls him forward in time to Oxford in the 21st Century, where the feud in his play now rages for real - between two rival business families, the Montanas and the Carringtons. Something's Buried in True Blood's Season 5 Teaser

Ryan and I caught the supposed "graphic" teaser of True Blood before the premiere of "Luck" a couple of days ago, and while I expected a bit more, it's enough to satisfy your craving for the time being. 

If you're a True Blood fan you know what or whose been buried in Bon Temps for the past year and a half.  And something tells me it's the Return of the King!!!!

Movies to Watch - Game Change

I'm sure all of you know by now I'm a political junkie, and that nothing pleases me more than to piss off Gay Republicans (oxy), or Republicans in general.  haha, but I still love ya! :-).  I'm just kidding.

Everyone has their views, and I respect that. So long as it doesn't constitute using vulgar words or calling each other names. I'm cool with debating religion or politics.  I enjoy it.

My only thing is... 

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!!!

A couple of weeks ago HBO released their teaser for it's upcoming adaptation of Mark Halperin and John Heilemann's book Game Change, and it seems like it's going to be a thriller of a movie.  Just so you know, Mark Halperin was suspended in 2004 from MSNBC for calling President Obama "a dick" on the Morning Joe show.  Regardless, the movie is about all the inside information Mark received from the McCain and Palin camps during the 2008 Presidential campaign.  And it doesn't look very good for Sarah Palin.  I'm thinking she won't be portrayed very nicely.  The movie stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, Ed Harris as John McCain, Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt and many others.

While the book does mention the Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama primary fight, their story is not in this movie.  This is more about what transpired when McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate.

'Twas Marry The Night

Yes, Little Monsters, Lady Gaga will be debuting her "Marry The Night" music video this coming Thursday on E! She states that the video will be about “one of the most horrible days of my life when I got dropped from my first record label and it’s the story of what happened that day.”

This will be the first time she has ever directed a video entirely on her own, so big kudos to her.  But she's also given you a special treat.  Not only did she release a teaser on Thanksgiving night, she also released another short teaser to tie you over till then.

During a trip to India, Gaga opened up a bit about shooting the clip and being a first-time director. "It has been a wonderful experience. I worked alongside director of photography Darius Khondji, who is an absolutely amazing DP, and I worked with Gideon Ponte, who is an incredible art director," she explained. "So I'm looking forward to sharing this autobiographical video with the world. I'm very excited. It's my favorite song on the album."

A Very Gaga Thanksgiving

Sebastian, Kurt and Blaine Love Triangle on Glee

I'm so looking forward to "The First Time" episode on Glee, and I know all you gay boys are too!  As many of you already know, the Dalton Academy has a new gay student and his name is Sebastian.  Oh my! He's a cutie patootie!  So, of course he has the hots for Blaine whom we all know is stuck in a relationship with Kurt.

LOL, just kidding.  Geez. Don't scream!

But seriously, can't Blaine end up with Sebastian?  That would be like so totally hot!  In either case, the new boy is actively pursuing a "married man", which happens way too often in our corner of the world.  And Sebastian has no shame in doing it either, even after Blaine informs him that he has a man, the boy tells him Kurt doesn't have to know. Another teaser from RuPaul's Drag Race has hit the small screen, and it's going to be a doozy.  Yep.  Zombies!  I told you last week, it's all about the Zombies, remember?




I sooooo cannot wait for the 4th season of RuPaul's Drag Race.  It's going to be an  Extravaganza, Eleganza!!

Must Watch: American Horror Story

So far the season for new television series have been kinda blah. Hell, Ryan and I still haven't been able to grasp on to The X-Factor and Dancing With The Stars. There are so many shows coming up like The Walking Dead, which premieres tonight, and Spartacus early next year. We already watch Glee which airs on Tuesdays, Harry's Law which airs alongside Modern Family on Wednesday nights. And we also watch Dexter and Boardwalk Empire which airs on Sunday nights, I mean, the list goes on.

But there's one new series I'm really curious to see.  Since Pan Am, Terra Nova, 2 Broke Girls, Whitney, The Secret Circle, Revenge, and Ringer have all gone on the way side, and teetering towards cancellation, American Horror Story shows promise.

A New Drag Dimension

First they tease us by letting us know Amber Riley from GLEE and Jesse Ferguson from Modern Family will be two of the guest judges on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 4. Then they release this hot mess of a teaser to get us prepared for the next season of caddy drama, drag fights, and downright nastiness.

Hurry up and get here RuPaul, we all miss you!! Seriously!  Even the straight people who love this show miss you.

Dexter Returns and All of Hell Breaks Loose!

It's D-day on October 2nd, and I've never been more excited!  As the teaser on it's website states...

If you are currently watching Seasons 1 through 5 of Dexter, do not see the following trailer.  It's best to wait until you've caught up.  Ryan and I have already seen the previous 5 seasons, but are currently watching them again with our friends, Michael and Francisco; They were in utter shock when they saw the finale of season 4 -  it really took them by surprise!  We start watching the 5th season this Wednesday night.

Movies to Watch: Iron Lady (First Teaser Trailer)

Back in February I wrote a post titled, "Margaret Thatcher's Long Lost Twin Sister Appears!"  It actually wasn't her sister, but instead Meryl Streep portraying the "Iron Lady," Britain's first woman Prime Minister.  

As I stated in my February post, she was to Britain, what Ronald Reagan was to us, a BIG F**KING MISTAKE!

Margaret Thatcher was known as the "Iron Lady," for leading a country with an Iron hand, so it was only fitting for Hollywood to make an Oscar worthy movie for her, and Streep.

Well, the first teaser trailer is out, and damn - it is downright scary!  It's like Margaret Thatcher has been reborn.

True Blood Shocker!

Want to know where Sookie ended up?  Want to know who told her, "Sookie, you are mine" at the end of Season 3?  And.......

Want to see who makes a surprising return with their very own Fairy Godmother?

Then, you'll want to see this.  

HBO has released the first 3 minutes of their True Blood Season 4 premiere, and it's going to be ridiculously incredible!  I cannot wait for the full episode to air on June 26th!

As you may know, at the end of season 3, Sookie was swooshed away by her Fairy Godmother... well, she ends up in fairyland, where everyone is chomping on some fruit that light's up like a Glo-worm.  Funny thing is, it seems like everyone that eats the fruit, loses their memories, at least for the time-being.

Next, in what is the most memorable moment for me, Barry the bellboy makes a grand return, and with a Fairy Godmother whos' f*ckn hot, to say the least!  Of course, it wouldn't be HBO without the fairies :-) No pun intended.

If you've read the books, or know a little about True Blood, Sookie and Bill's relationship hits a snag, so you know this season is going to be about who catches the fairy's affection. In this 30 second trailer below, you'll find out who said the line, "Sookie, you are mine," at the end of season 3. Was it Alcide, Eric, or Bill?

You Know You're Hooked!

Admit it, you're thirsty for blood, you're hooked, and you're dying for some True Blood.  Out of all our summer shows, Ryan and I are definitely looking forward to this one.

Earlier this month, HBO teased us with a full-length trailer letting us know, "the wait is almost over," and yesterday, they teased us with a new promotional poster stating, "You Know You're Hooked."  Now, they bring us three more fabulous posters separating the casts in their prospective roles.  I'm so darn excited.

Oh, and just in case you missed it, you can catch a glimpse of their most recent trailer after the jump - it introduces us to some new characters on the show.  

Also, if you can't get enough vampires, shape-shifters, werewolves and fairies; The new season of True Blood will feature a fabulous coven of witches!

HBO & True Blood Releases Another Damn Teaser!

I know it's only 2-1/2 months away, but that isn't fast enough.  And this Britney Spears Teaser-shit isn't helping things either!  HBO has released another short preview of True Blood's Season 4, and while it doesn't provide much action, it does give us an insight into what may be happening in the upcoming season.  It looks to me, like Bill and Eric are up against a greater force.

Earlier, we saw Eric Northman walking the forest with Amnesia, A very hot, Jason Stackhouse injured and tied to a bed, and now we get Bill Compton.

HBO is having a hell of a time teasing us, by featuring 30 second clips of the 4th season of True Blood, it's almost downright annoying! Ugh!   

Earlier this month, they released the 30 second spot of Eric wandering around the forest like he had amnesia or something.  But this time around, they have my favorite hottie, Jason Stackhouse, lying on a bed, badly beaten, and bloody.  

Something tells me Crystal's fiance did this.  And something else tells me, Jason is going to become a shape-shifter.

True Blood Season 4 - Preview & Spoilers!!!

 

If you're a True Blood fan you have been longing for some blood.  Not being able to withstand the wait any longer you do crazy things, like bite the one you love at night while they're sleeping.

Well you no longer have to wait, there's a 30 second spot which was released a couple of days ago.  All you really see is Eric wandering around the forest like he's got amnesia,  Boo-hoo, give me some real action, like bring Godric back or something.  I guess Eric developed amnesia for being encased in cement, again boo-hoo.

According to online sources like True Blood Wiki, there will be plenty of new faces this season, along with our regular favorites like Pam and Nan Flanagan.  The new characters joining the lair are:

No more Bill & Sookie

If you’re a big fan of these two together, I suggest you don’t read this paragraph. The emotional break-up from these two at the end of Season 3 will stick. Apparently, the road to reconciliation will be a long one and won’t happen quickly.

Who is Eric?

Following the plot of the novels, it seems like Eric will be losing his memory causing Sookie to be tied up in him. See? She won’t even be thinking about Bill. Not quite sure how Eric is to gain his amnesia but he will receive some help piecing his life together from a blonde fairy (wink wink).

Walking In a Fairy Wonderland

At the end of Season 3, we saw Sookie walking aimlessly in an enchanted fairy land. At the top of Season 4, Sookie will be back but there is something different. She will continue to find herself without Bill by her side. However, don’t expect to meet her fairy godmother this season.

Bring In the Witches

It has been rumored that Season 4 will be all about the witches. However, they are not going to be the bringers of evil. They will be an older entity. The witchy Kevin (Jesus) will return Lafayette’s boyfriend. They are still happy but is that because he is under Jesus’ spell?

Shifty Shifty

Sam had a little bit of a blowout at the end of Season 3 but is apparently getting another shot at love. His brother Tommy will also be back and up to no good. In addition to the witches being added this year, there will also be some more “shifters” added to the mix.

She’s Back…

She may have left in a flurry but have no fear, Tara will be back for Season 4. Where did Tara go? That will all be revealed and apparently, its pretty cool and fans will be surprised. Tara will be a lot happier and more stable this season. Its a new Tara.

Last Minute Spoilers

Arlene and Terry are still “evil-baby bound” and it is said that the problem will get increasingly worse as the season begins. Andy will get into some trouble of his own experimenting with the things that V left behind in the office. The fight between Bill and Queen Sophie-Anne will continue and some more characters will get involved.
