“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Margaret Thatcher On The Cover of Newsweek

Margaret Thatcher landed on the cover of Newsweek and I forgot to share it with you.  Oh, I'm sorry, my bad - did I say Margaret Thatcher?  I meant Meryl Streep.  She has such an uncanny resemblance to the former Prime Minister of Britain.

There hasn't been a movie I haven't liked where Streep has played a part in it.  From Silkwood, Marvin's Room, Angels in America, Mamma Mia!, Lions for Lambs, and The Hours, the list goes on.  She's an amazing actress.  Hence, the reason I can't wait to see her new movie, The Iron Lady which opens January 06, 2012.

Movies to Watch: Iron Lady (First Teaser Trailer)

Back in February I wrote a post titled, "Margaret Thatcher's Long Lost Twin Sister Appears!"  It actually wasn't her sister, but instead Meryl Streep portraying the "Iron Lady," Britain's first woman Prime Minister.

As I stated in my February post, she was to Britain, what Ronald Reagan was to us, a BIG F**KING MISTAKE!

Margaret Thatcher was known as the "Iron Lady," for leading a country with an Iron hand, so it was only fitting for Hollywood to make an Oscar worthy movie for her, and Streep.

Well, the first teaser trailer is out, and damn - it is downright scary!  It's like Margaret Thatcher has been reborn.

Margaret Thatcher's Long Lost Twin Sister Appears!

Nearly 30 years ago in 1982, the start of the Falklands War was on every Brit's mind.  The Iron Lady was in control and no one could topple her.  She became best friends with Ronald Reagan, and thus began the hatred her country grew towards her.  She was to Britain what Ronald Reagan was to us; helped the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.  Not to go off subject, but here long lost twin has been found.  Here she is,  >>>

and she hasn't aged one bit.  LOL, just kidding.

I swear, Meryl Streep as Thatcher is remarkable.  Filming for The Iron Lady started on January 31st, and this could very well be Streep's long overdue, third Oscar win. For the rest of the cast and what this movie is all about, you can go here and here.
