Daddy's Hands
My father taught me how to take an engine out of a car, take it apart and put it back together. And being a Farmer's son, you can only imagine the chores I had to do. I am blessed to have a father who accepts me for who I am, loves the man I have been with for the past 8 years and inspired me to be the man I am today. I love you daddy, and the hands I will always find comfort in. Happy Father's Day!

Quoted - Dolly Parton Upon Hearing The News of Whitney Houston's Death
"Mine is only one of the millions of hearts broken over the death of Whitney Houston. I will always be grateful and in awe of the wonderful performance she did on my song ["I Will Always Love You"], and I can truly say from the bottom of my heart, 'Whitney, I will always love you. You will be missed.' " - The lovely Dolly Parton Upon Hearing The News of Whitney Houston's Death

Blade's Box of Jams: Track #13 - Hard Candy Christmas
Currently listening to...
Dolly Parton
Not sure how many of you have ever seen the movie, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, but it is by far one of my favorite movies. Not only because it stars country music legend and gay icon, Dolly Parton, but because the nature of the story behind it. She had two of her most memorable songs debut on this movie, "Hard Candy Christmas" and "I Will Always Love You", both of which became her biggest hits. The movie also boasts a couple more songs that will rile anybody up. They are fun and energetic - you'd almost think it was a musical. Two YouTube commenters, summed it best:
Gid I love this song, have since I was a little gir...I am 33 now and its still my ultimate top favorite christmas song!! - DarcyHeartsElvis
I think the song depicts all trials and tribulations that we go through..I know for me, it is from a house fire that we had back in July and though they said we would be back in our home for Christmas, thanks to the screwed up insurance company, it won't be until after Christmas..Also, because of the insurance company not living up to the policy that we bought, my daughter and I are not going to have much of a Christmas thanks to no money..But we are not going to let that get us down...- MsDiscouraged

Madonna's Diva Christmas Nightmare
Back in July, we learned of Madonna's Gaga Nightmare, in August we learned of her second, but in December, Perez Hilton attends the Annual Divas Holiday Ball with "some of the biggest egos on the planet."
And this time around, there's more than just Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Barbara Streisand, and Sue Sylvester attending this ball; Katy Perry, Niki Minaj, Dolly Parton, and many others make a special appearance.

Madonna's Gaga Nightmare: Part 2
Last month I posted the video, Madonna's Gaga Nightmare, and it was funny as hell. In it, Madonna was trying to reboot her career, including taking her gays back from Lady Gaga.
In part 2, Madonna is at home recuperating when Gaga keeps prank calling her, and with a little help from Cher, they concoct a scheme.
The parody features scenes from Mommy Dearest and Death Becomes Her, which are absolutely hilarious. If you haven't seen either of these movies, then some parts may fly over your head.
Most of the other gay icon characters are back, including, Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli, and Sue Sylvester. Check out the hilarity below.

Blade's Box of Jams: Track #3 - If I Had Only Known
I'm turning on my headphones, and currently listening to...
Reba McEntire
I was reading something about Reba as Ryan was walking out the door this morning, when he tells me, "I love you bunches."Along with Dolly Parton, I have loved Reba since the beginning of time, and I don't know one gay boy who has never heard of this amazing artist. Her songs are poignant, long lasting and heart enduring. She wrote, "If I had Only Known" back in 1991 when she lost 8 of her band members in a plane crash. It was such a heartbreaking time for her, and the rest of us who adored her so much.
Not one day goes by that I do not let Ryan know how much I love him. You've heard me say it many times before, "he is the greatest treasure I have ever found." I never want to say that "If I had only known," or that if today was the last day I'd see him, that I would have done things differently, because I have done everything any loving person could ever do. And yes, I have tears running down my cheeks as I write this - it's because He is my happiness, He is my joy!

Must Watch: Together You and I
If there is one woman who can defy so many odds, it's Dolly Parton. One of the biggest, if not the biggest gay icons in all of music, Dolly has managed to garner 25 number one singles, and 41 top-ten country albums. She is the epitome of glamour and ageless beauty.
Dolly has recently released a new music video, "Together You and I," to rave reviews, and the 65 year old artist has shown that she can still belt it out like the rest of them. She wrote the uplifting lyrics due to current events, like bad weather, unemployment, and terrorists.
I Will Always Love You, Dolly! Thank you!

"I wanted to do something uplifting so even in the losing songs, I'm saying you're going to pick up the pieces," Dolly said in an interview with Billboard. "It seemed that with everything being so doomsday-terrorists and bad weather and unemployment-we need a little sunshine."In the video, Dolly sings the uplifting lyrics as people on the bridge begin to hold hands and smile at each other. I absolutely love it, because as much as the conservative folks love her, they hate her undying love for everyone around her - the gays, the Muslims, the Latinos, the poor, the unemployed, the list goes on. To her, it doesn't matter who you are, and who you love, we are all people in her eyes. And this is how it should be...us making a difference, "Together You and I."
I Will Always Love You, Dolly! Thank you!
