“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Children Playing The Guitar

I, personally, don't think the author titled this video correctly.  I think the kids in the video did a very good job.  It takes a lot of talent to learn music, play a guitar and perform in front of an audience.  And for the kids being as young as they are, I don't find it creepy whatsoever.  I find it quite impressive.

Watch as these North Korean children strum their guitars on stage.

Must Watch: Lady Gaga Got Married on New Year's Eve

Well... she "married the night" on New Year's Rockin' Eve with Dick Clark.

Prior to the ball drop, Lady Gaga started her performance with Heavy Metal Lover in an octopus-looking costume, but later emerged out of that when she performed Marry The Night, and finished off with Born This Way.

Shortly after her performance, Gaga and the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg flipped the switch to start the ball drop last Saturday night, and it was pretty darn cool.

Personally, I think there's no better way to end the year than in your own home state and city of New York.  Love or hate her, she was fabulous!

Check out her New Year's Eve performance below:

Blade's Box of Jams: Track #10 - You and I

Currently listening to...
Lady Gaga & Sugarland

If you missed the Grammy Nominations Ceremony on CBS, you missed the performance by Lady Gaga and Sugarland singing Gaga's hit track, "You and I," and I'd have to say it was damn good!  I have added it to my collection, Blade's Box of Jams.

For those who didn't watch the show, on February 12, 2012, Gaga will be up against Rihanna, Bruno Mars, The Foo Fighters, and Adele for Album of the Year.  As for my prediction, Adele will take them all home.  She is up for 6 Grammy nominations and it's expected she will win them all.  If there is anyone up against Gaga for the prestigious categories of record, album, and song of the year, it's Adele.  She's undeniably an amazing artist.

Now, let's listen to Blade's Box of Jams: Track #10 - You and I, featuring Lady Gaga and Sugarland!

Blade's Box of Jams: Track #3 - If I Had Only Known

I'm turning on my headphones, and currently listening to...

Reba McEntire

I was reading something about Reba as Ryan was walking out the door this morning, when he tells me, "I love you bunches."

Along with Dolly Parton, I have loved Reba since the beginning of time, and I don't know one gay boy who has never heard of this amazing artist.  Her songs are poignant, long lasting and heart enduring.  She wrote, "If I had Only Known" back in 1991 when she lost 8 of her band members in a plane crash.  It was such a heartbreaking time for her, and the rest of us who adored her so much.

Not one day goes by that I do not let Ryan know how much I love him.  You've heard me say it many times before, "he is the greatest treasure I have ever found."  I never want to say that "If I had only known," or that if today was the last day I'd see him, that I would have done things differently, because I have done everything any loving person could ever do.  And yes, I have tears running down my cheeks as I write this - it's because He is my happiness, He is my joy!

Gaga From Eternia! (Video Included)

If you watched the finale of American Idol Wednesday night, you may have caught a glimpse of Lady Gaga frolicking above the stage with hottie, Mark from SYTYCD, no complaints here - he's smokin' hot!!!!  And yes, Gaga was in an incredibly outrageous outfit atop Castle Grayskull! LOL.

For those interested in knowing... Mark Kanemura's post from May 12th is currently my most viewed post of all time with 2,700 page views, and it's only been 2 weeks since I've posted it.

While Gaga's monsters loved her performance last night, many thought it was a bit risque for American television audiences.  Thank God, this isn't Germany, otherwise we'd be watching men playing with each other on live TV.  The Mother Monster performed her "Edge of Glory" track, and it was utterly fabulous!  Better than the original recording in MHO (my humble opinion).

A few words from the hypocrites.
I think Lady Gaga is great! She's talented and fun. But AI is a show that is supposed to be a family show. How many viewers were little kids whose parents let them stay up to watch the AI finale? Gaga is just too sexual for little kids to be watching. Lauren and Scotty said that they have been watching AI for 10 years - that means that they were 6 and 7 years old when they started. How many 6, 7, 8 and 9 year olds were watching last night? Probably loads of them, and they were watching Lady Gaga in sexual positions with a man on top of her, under her, etc. Give it a break American Idol. Allow kids to grow up in their own time and keep the show family friendly.
I find it so hypocritical that it's okay for Britney Spears to kiss Madonna on live television with their tongues down each other's throats, and then Britney kissing Rihanna recently, but Gaga plays with a young man, nonetheless, and it's blasphemy.  People are fascinating. This whole thing has been going on since Elvis was shown on TV from the waist up. She's talented, but she's also smart enough to know what gets people talking. Here's a popular young singer making 'suggestive maneuvers,' Puritan prudes outraged by it. LOL, and it'll be going on 100 years from now, too.

Let's watch the performance, just for everyone's sake. ;-)
