So, I think we all pretty much know what happens when a car crashes at 40 mph, right? If not, it isn't a pretty sight. This is the speed most car companies use to crash test their cars before they go into production. They have to pass various safety tests.
But what if the car were to go the speed most cars can go up to, at 120 mph? Check out this amazing footage from the television show, “Fifth Gear”. They wanted to see how a Ford Focus would handle a crash at three times that speed. Let's just say, it was obliterated.

You make a good point, my love: Why the hell do they make cars go that fast? Knowing what happens at 120 mph, why give it that ability, especially an idy bity ford focus? Rest in pieces little car. You will be missed.
