“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Mealies For My Love

Earlier today I posted a picture on Facebook, and by looking at it you would think I was having a party.  Mardi Gras anyone? LOL.

Actually, the food is for my partner, Ryan.  No, he's not going to eat it all tonight;  Though, we are having a sample of each dish for dinner.

When I make dinner every night there is usually some left-overs, and with those left-overs I make "Mealies For My Love".  What are those?  Well, they're pre-packaged meals that I freeze and Ryan takes to work each day.   But since I hardly cooked this week - I didn't have any left-overs and Ryan was running low on his mealies;  He only had one left in the freezer.
And yes, they are labeled with the date, and the particular food that's in them. LOL.

It's not very often that I cook food in bulk like this, but this week was the exception; We've been having other foods stored in our freezer for the past week.

So in the end, when I see that Ryan is running low, this is what I do.  Oh - how I love my husband so.
Mixed Vegetable Medley, Macaroni & Cheese Tuna Melt, Oven Roasted Chicken, Chicken Bruschetta Bake, & Lemon Pepper Tilapia

I am very lucky to have such a wonderful man that would spend all this time to make many different meals in bulk just so I have lunches to eat at work. I don't know what I'd do without him. The thing is, he doesn't have to do anything of this for me, and I'd still love him unconditionally. Saying I'm just lucky to have him in my life is an understatement. I'm blessed, fortunate, and truly honored to have this man as my partner, husband and best friend. Thank you so much, my love. You made my night.
