“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

A Very Special Moment - Issue #3: To This Day

I don't even know where to begin with this, except to say it's pretty darn powerful. You will more than likely shed a tear, if not, that's okay - the message came across to you.

"To This Day" is a narrated poem by Shane Koyczan that shows "the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual."

Dozens of collaborators from around the world helped to bring this piece to life. Learn more about them and the project at http://www.tothisdayproject.com.
"I'm truly at a loss for words as this video has just made this issue of "A Very Special Moment", a very special moment!"

I'm trying so hard not to cry during lunch, but I'm not really succeeding. Powerful, beautiful, true, painful, memories. All things I think about after seeing that video. I have to remind myself sometimes that just because much of it was never physical, doesn't mean it was ok or it didn't hurt. It did hurt and the pain comes back while watching this video, but I'm it also reminded me that I am a survivor. I'm here today because I chose to live. I chose to keep fighting and I'm so glad I did. I'm living my life in the best way possible. I couldn't be happier. My husband, our babies, our family. I love my life and I love myself. I am beautiful, smart and a fighter. Thank you God for guiding my to make the right choice.

oh babe, i love you so very much. We both went through tribulations growing up gay kids, you more than I. But one thing is certain, we are better off today than yesterday. It gets better! And with you, a lifetime of happiness :-)
