In my opinion, I think Chrysler did a phenomenal job with their 2 minute spot during the Superbowl last night.
There was a story behind the ad, indicating Detroit was once a place of the hard-working American man, and still is today. It focused on several areas of Detroit that have touched peoples lives, places where the people of Detroit can call iconic. And it was like a movie trailer, in the sense that it delivered it's main plot in the end. Leaving you breathless and exhilarated; knowing that you live in a country so great as ours that can give you something nobody else can... hope.

Very interesting. I didn't even know that this commercial was even featured in the superbowl. All I saw on the news the next day was the "Eminem" commercial, not the "hard working american people of Detroit" commercial. It was well put together but I think that the presence of Eminem just overshadowed the excellent point that it was trying to make. Yes, Eminem is a success, hard working rags to riches American story, I get that. But he is not the Depression era immigrant steel workers that risked their lives everyday working to help build this country and make it the economical success and power that it is today. I know this debate could continue, but I'm sticking to my point and opinion. He doesn't belong in the same category and shouldn't belong in the same commercial for that matter.
