Ron Paul kicking Obama out of the White House has much of a chance of happening, as Rick Perry having Texas secede from the Union. I know it's laughable, but for the 2nd year in a row Ron Paul has managed to come away the winner at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference (CPAC) held in Washington, DC.
Ron came out of the conference with 30 percent of the straw vote, with Mitt Romney coming in second with 23 percent. All the other nuts, like Ricky Perry, Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Chris Christie, Michele Bachmann, Mitch Daniels, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and Tim Pawlenty came out with less than 7 percent of the vote.
Commentator Franz said it best when he stated, "Ron Paul is for freedoms as long as it doesn't infringe upon his right to discriminate. Like most Libertarians. What they mean by live and let live, and less government is Fuck everyone else as long as government doesn't touch my money and my rights. Fuck Ron Paul, his whole platform is undermined by his permissiveness in reserving full protection of the law and equal economic distribution only for straight Christians."

CPac is over already?! Did I miss that party Bachmann was calling for, or did everyone just file this looney circus show under their 'Things I don't give a shit about' folder?
Republicans have only held both the House of Reps and the White house concurrently and consecutively for any length of time. The first time Republicans controlled both the WH and the House was a 3 republican presidential terms which ended with the Great Depression.
The second and only other time republicans reigned concurrently was the recent two terms under George W. Bush which ended in the 2nd great depression of our time.
I know I've posted this previously but I love the fact I was doing research to refute a republican claim that the federal deficit isn't determined by the affiliation of the President but by the affiliation of the majority controlling the House and I stumbled upon this little gem.
Sorry but Obama had it right, the Rich should pay higher taxes PERIOD! That is what he meant be redistribution of wealth, he never said he wanted to give the money of the richest 1% or even 5% and give it to the poor. The Republican machine seems to distort everything.
What this country really needs is to make those that are making more pay a proportionate tax rate so we can fund necessary projects to further our society's advancement in education, innovative industry and keep American's working. It's not a hard concept to follow except this dinosaur political party can't seem to get themselves out of second gear and drive forward.
Nothing good will come to America's future as long we continue to enable corporate greed, No Fossil Fuel Energy, Investment , Banking or Defense Contracting Companies need to have triple digit profits while having little or no regard towards the adverse distress they leave for the middle class to carry on their backs.
When will we say Enough is Enough! The only future the GOP has if it doesn't wake the F up is extinction like the Wig Party. But you can't make them understand this with people like Rush and the rest of the prep squad. Oh and thoseT-Baggers who have no clue why we need Government oversight and regulation, We have continually proved (over the last 50+ years) that big business only cares about their Bottom line and not the vanishing middle class.
The only thing that Republicans have ever delivered are bigger, less effective (incompetent) government, catastrophic spending which helps no one other than corporations and deregulation that leads to Economic collapse. Those are the facts of their history. It always makes me laugh that people would actually see these people as anything else, when ALL of the evidence points to how completely vulgar, corrupt and incompetent they are-
