The Spoken Word

If you've never heard of Taylor Mali, now's your chance.  And for those who love poetry, you know who he is. Here's a brief bio from his website www.taylor.mali.com:
Mali is a vocal advocate of teachers and the nobility of teaching, having himself spent nine years in the classroom teaching everything from English and history to math and S.A.T. test preparation. He has performed and lectured for teachers all over the world, and his New Teacher Project has a goal of creating 1,000 new teachers through "poetry, persuasion, and perseverance."
This morning I came across one of Taylor Mali's works, and I had to share it with all my readers.  It is really, really good.   Titled, The Spoken Word, artist Ronnie Bruce took Mali's work and created this magnificent Typography animation.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Well done! A friend once showed me that if you chose your words wisely and speak with confidence, you will be confident and people will listen. I do have a big problem with that. These words just inspired me to change. Maybe I don't have to say...maybe..after all.
