Movies to Watch: Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2nd Official Trailer Released)

If you haven't seen it already, Rise of The Planet of the Apes has released their second full-length trailer, and in it we learn more about James Franco's role as the scientist who befriends Caesar (the one who starts the uprising).  

I hope they find a better way of explaining how a few hundred apes or possibly more, are able to wipeout the earth's population, including the city they're residing in, San Francisco.

Movies to Watch: Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer Released!


“Our greatest discovery will become our greatest threat.”

It's official, the Rise of the Planet of the Apes trailer has been released, And after watching the trailer, it makes want to watch it even more. On Tuesday, I mentioned the great CGI effects on the movie's apes on how realistic they look - Best CGI to date.  These are the same people who did the special effects on AVATAR, so you know it's going to be great!

The movie, which stars James Franco, Tom Felton, John Lithgow, and Freida Pinto will be released across the US on August 5th, and I must say it looks absolutely fabulous!

Movies to Watch: Rise of the Planet of the Apes

It's only a 5 second clip (video below), but it's one that will creep you out nonetheless.  Rise of the Planet of the Apes has released some WETA footage of the ape Caesar from the upcoming film.  I'd have to say this is the best computer generated image I have ever seen.

Set in present day San Francisco, the film deals with the aftermath of genetic engineering experiments that lead to intelligence in apes and a war for supremacy. 
  
What a blockbuster summer - I'm telling you!  

The movie, which stars hottie, James Franco and Harry Potter's Tom Felton will be released across the US on August 5th.
