If you don't know who Brian Grazer is, then you need a lesson on television shows and who produces them. Just Kidding. I only learned of Brian Grazer because of Fox's hit show 24 and Friday Night Lights. So you can just imagine what I thought, when I realized he was an award-winning producer, more-so than my favorite producer David E. Kelley.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Grazer is on board to produce a movie based on his hit show '24.'
The news only gets better for fans who are anxiously awaiting the return of Jack Bauer:
Uber-producer Brian Grazer recently tweeted that he’s on board for long-gestating 24 movie.
“Got off the phone Keifer yesterday and we are very excited about producing the 24 movie for next year,” he tweeted.
Grazer’s involvement makes sense since Imagine Entertainment, the company he co-owns with Ron Howard, produced the long running action drama for Fox.
Last month, Kiefer Sutherland told the women of The View that the movie will come out in 2012.For those unfamiliar with the television series, which garnered many awards and ran for 8 seasons on Fox, is about a Federal Agent, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who
"can't afford to always play by the rules. As a member of the L.A. Counter Terrorist Unit, Jack must stop bombs, viruses, assassination attempts, and usually save someone he cares about at the same time. Every season of this series has 24 episodes, each unfolding in real time following a consecutive hour in one very bad day."Ryan and I watched all 8 seasons of this suspenseful action/thriller/drama, and I'm saying this only once - The show was PHENOMENAL! Personally, I'm really excited about this, it's been a long time coming. I can't wait to see what characters they bring back onto the project. Anyone, but Kim Bauer. Ugh, we couldn't stand her! LOL

Unless she's being tortured, then we like Kim Bauer, and not after 7pm cable torture but more like SAW and HOSTEL torture....those are a better fit for Kim Bauer.
Hey, if Dallas pulled it off with 3 follow up movies then I'm sure that 24 can get away with at least one. Well, I still have yet to see how those Dallas movies actually turn out so who knows if tv series to movies are a good thing for mankind or not.
