Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. OMG Hilarious! Sue Sylvester Belts Out Nicki Minaj's Super Bass

Talk about an epic performance last night on GLEE.  If you didn't get the chance to see the "Feud" episode last night, you missed a really fantastic performance by Sue Sylvester.  Well.... the feud was between her and Blaine, but who was paying attention to him after Sue belted out "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj.  OMG, it was hilarious, but oh so good!!!  God, I love her!

You can check out the video here - you'll definitely enjoy it if you're a GLEE fan, or two you're a Nicki Minaj fan.  Mariah Carey & Blaine, not so much.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm... The Fox

The male fox mates for life. If the female dies, he will remain single for the rest of his life. However, if the male dies, the female will find another mate

Foxes are family-oriented critters, often forming lifetime attachments when it comes time to raise young ones. During the rest of the year, however, the male (dog) fox and the female (vixen) live separately, mostly at the insistence of the highly territorial female. Spring Fever (1998) When Autumn rolls around and the vixen starts feeling amorous, she lets the male know by her scent marking, which changes to advertise her feelings on the matter. At this point the male will reappear and court the female, and will hang around through the Winter until the kids (kits) are born and the vixen can hunt for herself again. He will hang around into the early Spring to make sure they are well provided for, then take off for a Summer of fun and frolic. [source]

I'm Not A Glee Hater, But Kurt Has To Go!

I was just getting used to the fact that the graduating class of Glee was not returning for Season 4, and looking forward to not seeing Kurt any longer. And then BAM!  The Worstest News Ever!  Yes, I know there's no such thing as "worstest," before you go correcting me.

Ugh. at first I liked him, then I didn't like him, then I did. He just pisses me off sometimes, and I'm ready for some new folks.  I mean, don't get me wrong, please keep Blaine and Sebastian on the show, they're perfect in every way. LOL.

But really, why is Ryan Murphy keeping the graduating class on the show?  Will this be the hit show's downfall from grace?  I sure hope not, but it might as well be.  First it was reported that Lea Michele would be returning back as Rachel next year, and now the give us the news that several more characters would be returning, including Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel.  Why, Dear God, why?

His character is annoying and he's not the representation of every gay boy in America.  But... I get it.  They throw in a little bit of Blaine, a dash of Sebastian and they think they have it all figured out.  NO!  That is not going to fix it.  Kurt needs to move on and let bygones, be bygones.

Look For Changes On So You Think You Can Dance - Season 9

Yes, you're reading it right here!  Due to the dismal finale last year of So You Think You Can Dance, changes are being made to this year's Season 9.  According to the show's producer, Nigel Lythgoe, who's also a judge on the show, FOX has cancelled the results show which airs the day after the performances.  And I couldn't have been more happier.  I think the other networks and producers should follow suit, like Dancing With The Stars, American Idol and the X-Factor (shows that Ryan and I both quit watching).

Supposedly there was a 9% decline in viewership in the Season 8 finale, where Melanie Moore was crowned the winner. Regardless, they were signed on for another season, so at least we got that.  That's if Ryan and I choose to watch it this year. [source]

Hell's Kitchen: "I'm Not Your Bitch!"

I don't know how many of you watch "Hell's Kitchen," or if you even know of the show.  It's a show that airs on Fox that is hosted by Gordon Ramsay, a British chef and restaurant owner.  He's also known for hosting other popular shows like "The F Word," "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares," and "Master Chef," but what he's most famous for, is his fiery temperament and use of a wide range of expletives on these shows.

So yeah, there's plate throwing, food spitting, and calling people "chunky monkey." What I'm surprised at, is the fact that no one has killed or attempted to kill this man after he calls the contestants vulgar, and sometimes obnoxious names.  Last night, he told one of the women contestants, "shut your big fat mouth!"

The show is in it's 9th season, and Ryan and I have watched every season except for the first one.  It's actually quite entertaining, but not too many of my friends like watching it, because of Ramsay.  They prefer to watch Iron Chef or Cupcake Wars (mediocre shows), when this one is so much better.

Even though he tells someone to fuck off, or throws a plate of food on the floor; some of these contestants would probably drive me to do the same.  Here's a sample of the most hated man in the world...  It's pretty intense...

Is it Obama or Osama? Who Is Dead?

You gotta love Fox News and their accidental misspellings.  Fox's affiliates constantly do this, so it's no stranger to controversy.  I'm not surprised one bit, it actually makes me laugh.

Zap2it describes it best:
Running along the bottom of FOX40's report on the event, the chyron read: "Reports: Obama Bin Laden Dead."

Apparently, some people issued complaints and accusations that it did it on purpose. After all, FOX News has some obvious conservative leanings in its coverage with Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly over at the mother ship.

FOX40 issued an apology (kind of), but not before they defended its mistake by pointing out how easily it could be made and that other news organizations made similar mistakes, including CNN and the Modesto Bee newspaper.

They even threw a fellow FOX affiliate in San Diego under the bus for its anchor actually saying "President Obama" instead of "Osama Bin Laden" was dead.

Is TV Too Gay?

This is the question posed by our local Fox News channel during a commercial break last night as we watched the ever-popular television show, GLEE.  Ryan and I were overcome with astonishment that he set the DVR to record the news immediately afterwards.  And sure enough, Bryan Fischer from the American Family Association was there to spread his message of hate. Oh by the way, he's the director of "Issues Analysis" (Go Figure).  But for those unfamiliar with him, he's a despicable human being who condemns everything you can possibly think of - he's almost as crazy as Fred Phelps.  He can't stand Gays, Hispanics, Muslims or Blacks.

So after watching the fabulous cast sing Lady Gaga's, "Born This Way" as a condemnation towards the bullying and hatred in our schools, we watched the news segment.

I felt small droplets of water fall onto my hand as I turned around and saw Ryan dripping with sweat - all I could see was red in his eyes. As he grunted and moaned, it was evident he had become agitated over this particular issue.  Unlike myself, I'm able to hold it in a little longer, but then I'll let it all out - a day or two later.  Like now...

Mr Fischer starts out by saying, What these television programs are doing is glamorizing homosexual behavior, glamorizing homosexual conduct. This is conduct that carries enormous psychological and physical risks to those who engage in it. It’s just not a lifestyle, it’s not behavior that ought to be glamorized or presented in a way that makes it idealistic.

Here is a man who thinks gay relationships are like "drug use," and furthermore, believes placing the show in a 7 PM slot the "relationships" would be viewed as "product placements".  You know - kinda like show me a Coke or a Pepsi, and I'll buy it.  Because straight people are going to jump at the chance of being gay.  I can already hear my straight brothers and sisters saying, "Oh I want to be one of those."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but we were born this way, Mr. Fischer, Sir!

Later the news anchor asks him,"So what about the time slot? It comes on at 7 o’clock, is that a little bit too early or is that right on time?"  He responds, “I think its terrible timing. As you pointed out advertisers purchase time on television programs because they know that what people see on television influences their behavior and influences their choices. We know from the Centers for Disease Control that 91% of the males who have been diagnosed with HIV-AIDS since the epidemic began contracted it through having sex with other men man or through injection drug abuse. That means that homosexual behavior is just as risky and just as dangerous as injection drug use and we should not glamorize it anymore than we would glamorize intravenous drug use.

Really?  Really?  I'm not even going to bring up the statistics he mentioned or how AIDS is spread; everyone should be intelligent enough to know the facts.

A fellow blogger wrote, "were Fischer and his clan up in arms when the first season was dedicated to teenage pregnancy, where the “virginia” cheerleader tricked the clueless football player into believing that he was the actual father? Where is that discussion?  That issue showed lack of birth control, lying, deceit – whereas the story involving homosexuality is about the character being true to himself and finding love along the way. After all, homosexuals are surrounded by heterosexual stories all day long when it comes to television programming – it is about time that we get in on that spotlight as well."

When I was looking for the news video to post on my blog, I was happy to see all the gracious comments on myfoxhouston.com, including the one below from a loving mother,
My son is Gay and its not a choice!!!! Could anyone wake up and say I want to be gay today? I can promise you if you watch TV you wont turn Gay. Everyone has the right to be who they are, this is America. Don't judge that's God's job.
And another,
Too Gay!? Are you kidding me? It's not even close to being as inclusive as it should be. There are hundreds and hundreds of shows on TV that feature a straight-only cast and only a handful of shows nowadays that feature gay characters. Glee is probably the only primetime TV show that give its gay characters equal treatment as its straight ones. This is nothing. This barely graze the surface of how television should be.

Having gay characters on TV is important. It's empowering to gay kids and teens in a time when that is desperately needed. Just like seeing courageous, powerful women on TV is empowering to women, or seeing strong, successful black characters on TV is empowering to Black Americans... gay Americans deserve equal representation. There are a lot of gay people in our society, and they need a face on primetime TV...not just as a comedic sidekick, not as some psychotic murderer, not as some tragic figure who ends up dying broken and alone...but a regular happy, healthy individual surrounded by loving friends and family, who triumphs over adversity and finds love in the end. Kids need to see this. It teaches an important lesson about bullying and offers hope to kids who are going through similar situations.

Also, anyone who thinks "family values" conflict with homosexuality has clearly never watch Kurt Hummel and his father interact on Glee. These two characters are the epitome of what family should be...loving, supportive, and accepting of each other no matter what. Parents everywhere should take lesson from Burt Hummel. Unless, of course, "family values" for you translates to rejecting and kicking your gay son out of the house because of his sexuality. In that case, America doesn't need your kind of "family values" reflected on TV.

So now let's watch the Glee cast sing "Born This Way"

24: The Movie

If you don't know who Brian Grazer is, then you need a lesson on television shows and who produces them.  Just Kidding.  I only learned of Brian Grazer because of Fox's hit show 24 and Friday Night Lights.  So you can just imagine what I thought, when I realized he was an award-winning producer, more-so than my favorite producer David E. Kelley.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Grazer is on board to produce a movie based on his hit show '24.'
The news only gets better for fans who are anxiously awaiting the return of Jack Bauer:
Uber-producer Brian Grazer recently tweeted that he’s on board for long-gestating 24 movie.
“Got off the phone Keifer yesterday and we are very excited about producing the 24 movie for next year,” he tweeted.
Grazer’s involvement makes sense since Imagine Entertainment, the company he co-owns with Ron Howard, produced the long running action drama for Fox.
Last month, Kiefer Sutherland told the women of The View that the movie will come out in 2012.
For those unfamiliar with the television series, which garnered many awards and ran for 8 seasons on Fox, is about a Federal Agent, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who
"can't afford to always play by the rules. As a member of the L.A. Counter Terrorist Unit, Jack must stop bombs, viruses, assassination attempts, and usually save someone he cares about at the same time. Every season of this series has 24 episodes, each unfolding in real time following a consecutive hour in one very bad day."
Ryan and I watched all 8 seasons of this suspenseful action/thriller/drama, and I'm saying this only once - The show was PHENOMENAL!  Personally, I'm really excited about this, it's been a long time coming. I can't wait to see what characters they bring back onto the project.  Anyone, but Kim Bauer. Ugh, we couldn't stand her! LOL

Someone On Glee is Going To Die - It's a Done Deal

Yes, someone on Glee is going to kick the bucket!  According to Michael Ausiello, “the Grim Reaper, of all people, will be crashing Regionals.” Oh no, please don't let it be Principal Figgins, Ryan and I love his character.

Ausiello went on to say that “Rumor has it someone will sing their swan song just prior to Regionals. And to say the tragedy has a significant impact on it is a big freakin’ understatement.”

So now all we have to do is wait for the "Original Song" episode to air on March 15.

On Tuesday, a preview for next week's episode, "Sexy" and "Original Song" was released.  While the majority of the video is focused on next Tuesday's episode, we do get a sneak peak at the Regional performances.  As the Warblers prepare to perform, Kurt is battling a case of stage fright. Standing with Blaine, Kurt asks, "Has anyone ever literally died on stage?"

Fox Rejects Obama Hate Ad

Nothing surprises me anymore. The people at JesusHatesObama.com have been rejected, and not simply for making Jesus look out to be an evil and angry man, but for going too far.

Not only do they have Jesus in a "Jesus Hates Obama" robe.  They have the audacity to play the "Battle Hymn of The Republic" in the background.

Of course the Obama bobblehead takes a turn for the worst when the Jesus bobblehead dumps him in a fishbowl.  A quote from the home page of the site indicates, "do we really believe that Jesus hates Obama? Of course not! However, we do believe in freedom...as in the freedom to make fun of the Obama administration with novelty t-shirts...our products may be a joke but so are the policies of this administration."
