War of the Roses - Fey & Jake

It's that time again, and this time it's a shocker.  Who does Jake send the flowers to?

If you're not familiar with my "War of the Roses" segment, then I suggest you read my first issue, here;  I wrote a detailed description on how it actually works.

This morning, Roula & Ryan spoke with Fey who's been married to her husband, Jake for about a year.  

Fey really loves to decorate for Halloween and the couple have decided to throw their first big party of the year - a Halloween party.  She sends Jake out shopping, where he also stops at a novelty store (exotic) to pick up a few items.  Fey didn't want anyone to see, so she quickly started taking things out of the SUV and placed them in the garage.  Just as she was about to finish she noticed something sticking out from underneath the spare tire.  She lifted up the carpet, and pushed up the spare tire and out came a bag full of naughty, naughty, hardcore stuff.  When she asks Jake about it, he says that it must have slipped underneath the tire, and goes on to explain that they are gag gifts.

Roula tells her that what she's saying is really nothing out of the ordinary.  Roula says that she's been to plenty of Halloween parties where they do this sort of thing.  Hand out gag gifts no one knows what to do with.  But Fey says, that one of the items was $88.  Ryan informs Roula that there is no way you're going to give an $88 dollar item as a gag gift.  Roula agrees.

In explaining how she found them, her husband told her the items must of just slipped underneath the spare tire.  Ryan quickly chimes in and says there is no way that a bag of stuff can slip underneath the tire and the carpet all at the same time, much less in an SUV.  "I have an SUV," he says.

She tells them that one of the main reasons she married Jake, was because he never lies, but this time she could tell.

Roula then asks Fey if Jake has ever given her a reason not to trust him, where she proceeds to say that there sex life has toned down a little, but not to the point he would be unfaithful.

Roula and Ryan share their thoughts on the matter, go over the rules of the "War," and ask her again if she really wants to go through with this.  Regardless of the outcome, Jake will have to know she made the call to the radio station to trick him into saying something he shouldn't have.

So how does the battle end?  Will Jake send the flowers to his loving wife, Fey, or will he send them to someone else?  What you find out will shock you.

War of the Roses - Paige & Ray

LMAO, I can't stop laughing at what this idiot guy was saying to cover his ass.  LOL. I'm sorry, yes I've given it away. He's cheating! There's no doubt about it.

For God's sake, his woman has found whip cream, handcuffs, KY Jelly, silky boxers and massage oil in his gym bag! LOL.  And what makes it hilarious is the way he tries to talk his way out of it.  He has a reason for every specific thing in his bag.

In today's call Roula & Ryan spoke with Paige who's been living with her boyfriend of 3 years, Ray.  She feels that her boyfriend is having an affair and wants to confront him about it.  Actually, she pretty much says he's having one.  Ray isn't calling or texting her every day like he used to, he no longer sends her flowers, he comes home later than usual, and he's extended his gym hours to include weekends.

Roula and Ryan tell her that what she's saying is really nothing out of the extraordinary.  They explain it by saying that her and Ray have been in a relationship for quite some time, and anyone can say he's not very timely with his phone calls, it doesn't necessarily mean he's cheating.  And that's when Paige informs them of a gym bag she found...

One Saturday morning, she made Ray breakfast like she usually does, and he left to the gym.  Thinking that Ray forgot his gym bag, and being the good girl that she is, she decided to take it to him.  But for some odd reason, her gut was telling her to check out his bag, and in it were all the items I mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Needless to say, when she got to the gym she couldn't bring herself to confront him about it. Obviously it wasn't his gym bag, because he was working out with some very pretty girl at the gym, whom he said was his personal trainer. 

And what of the bag she found?  Well, pretty much a bag of goodies he's yet to explain.

Roula and Ryan share their thoughts on the matter, go over the rules of the "War," and ask her again if she really wants to go through with this, because regardless of the outcome, Ray will have to know she made the call to the radio station to trick him.

So how does the battle end?  Will Ray send the flowers to his loving girlfriend, Paige, or will he send them to someone else?

War of the Roses - Renee & Paul

I swear, this week's "Roses" was really f*cked up.  I'm sorry for my French, but this was one crazy ordeal.  I'm for not posting an issue last week, I completely forgot to download the audio, and I only had a few hours to do it.

In today's call Roula & Ryan spoke with Renee who's been married to her husband, Paul, for a mere 2 years.  She starts off by saying that she has a feeling her best friend, Allie, also of 2 years, slept with her husband last weekend.
Renee states that her and her husband Paul are partiers, and that they go out drinking every weekend with her best friend.  She says that they usually hang out with Allie 3 or 4 times a month, but over the course of the last 6 months things have been getting a little weird.  When Roula & Ryan ask her what she means by that, she tells them she was about to post some pictures on Facebook from their weekend partying when she noticed that Paul and Allie were smooching in some of them.  When she confronts her husband about it, he tells her they were all real drunk and that she even kissed her too.  But she says, she can't recall doing it.

Last weekend Allie spent the night at their house, because they didn't want her driving home drunk, but Renee herself was so drunk she more than likely blacked-out. She doesn't remember the night before, or how she got in bed - the signs of a real drinking problem.  But she did notice the guest bedroom looked like something had been going on in there.  Well that's when things get kinda iffy... because supposedly the husband slept on the couch.

Roula and Ryan share their thoughts on the matter, go over the rules of the "War," and ask her again if she really wants to go through with this, because regardless of the outcome, Paul will have to know she made the call to the radio station to trick him.

War of the Roses - Catherine & Dave

Oh wow, this week's "Roses" is a doozie.  LOL. I actually had to look up the word to make sure I spelled it correctly.  But I was right, this week's War of the Roses was pretty bizarre.

In today's call Roula & Ryan spoke with Catherine who's been married to her husband, Dave for 8 years and also dated 5 years prior.  She pretty much stated the obvious fact, that she knows her man well; Her and her husband have two small children, a 7-yr-old boy and 5-yr old girl.

Catherine proceeds to tell Roula & Ryan that her husband, Dave is really "off" and showing strange behavior.  She states that she's kind of embarrassed to say it, but by odd behavior she means sexually.  She says that Dave has recently been wanting to try all sorts of "crazy stuff" in bed, trying different positions and so forth, things that he never once contemplated of doing in all the years she's been with him.  She says that she knows her husband, he's kind of dorky, doesn't even like watching porn, etc.., but last week something strange happened.  In the middle of the night, which also rarely happens, he wakes her up to have sex, and while they're doing it he calls her by a different name - "Taylor."  When she confronts him about it, he says that he's half-asleep and doesn't know what he's saying, that he was probably having a dream or something.

Roula & Ryan tell her there is enough information to convince them she has a reason to do "Roses."  They ask Catherine if she has anything else she wants to share.  And she does...  She says that last weekend she was taking the kids to a birthday party, and it was going to be a large one.  Knowing this, she asked Dave if he could join her, because she needed help to watch over the kids, but he told her he was not feeling well, the previous night he had a few beers, blah, blah, blah.  In either case, Catherine and the kids decide to come home early from the party and daddy isn't home.  She calls to find out where he is, and he doesn't answer the phone.  Now, this is a man who is stuck to his phone like glue, has a holster for it and everything, he never goes anywhere without his phone.  He never answers her calls and never calls back, instead he shows up at home 2 hours later looking like he'd seen a ghost.  His explanation was that he went for a walk.  Catherine says that not once has he ever taken "a walk"

Roula and Ryan share their thoughts on the matter, go over the rules of the "War," and ask her again if she really wants to go through with this, because regardless of the outcome, Dave will have to know she made the call to the radio station to trick him.

War of the Roses - Stephanie & Will

Today's War of the Roses was hilarious, but ohhhh so good.  If you have never listened to this segment, I highly recommend it.  It's been one of my favorite morning shows since I started listening to Roula & Ryan 7 years ago.

I suggest you read up on my first issue, here - I wrote a detailed description on how "Roses" actually works.

In this morning's call, Roula took on the fictional role of Pam from Plants and Flowers, Inc.

Today's war was especially funny because the caller, Stephanie, mentioned she had come across a picture her friend Jennifer posted online.  It was a picture of her best friend Anna and Stephanie's boyfriend, Will.  

Curious as to why Stephanie would want to play a ruse on her boyfriend when all she saw was a picture, Roula & Ryan asked her to email it to them so they could judge for themselves.  Due to the legal ramifications, Roula & Ryan are not allowed to show actual photos of the caller or the accused, so Ryan took it upon himself to do an artist's rendition, and omg it was all I could do to keep from laughing.

Stephanie states that her boyfriend of 2 years has been cheating on her with her friend of 6 years, Anna.  She says that two weeks ago she took a trip to Austin, TX to visit her family while her boyfriend stayed behind to attend a pre-arranged pool party her friend Jennifer was hosting.  Well, the weekend was over, and her friend Jennifer posted pictures from her party online.  In one of the pictures she spotted her boyfriend in the background with her friend Anna, cuddling and gazing into each other's eyes.  Stephanie also says that out of all her friends, Anna is the one who is the prettiest and funniest of the group, but also the most flirtatious and most "loose" of her girlfriends. LOL.

Over the past several days, Will has been kind of cold, always on the computer, and Stephanie doesn't know what to make of it. She truly believes he's cheating on her with Anna and figured doing the "Roses" was the only way she could make herself confront him.

After looking at the picture, Roula & Ryan are convinced Will has some 'splaining to do.  After sharing their thoughts they explain the rules of the "War" to Stephanie and ask her again if she really wants to go through with this, because regardless of the outcome, her boyfriend will learn why he was tricked on a radio station.

So how does the battle end?  Does Will send Stephanie flowers?  Or is there another woman?

War of the Roses - Denise & Jackson

I'm sorry it took me so long to post this week's issue of War of the Roses. I will definitely post it on it's regularly scheduled day, next Thursday.

In this morning's call, Roula took on the fictional role of Penelope from Plants and Flowers.com.  Ryan later mentioned that he almost broke up laughing, because she used that off-the-wall name.  I'll have to admit I thought the same thing too. LOL.

Responding to an email from Denise, Roula and Ryan began their regular weekly segment of Roula and Ryan's Roses by asking the caller a few questions...

Denise's informs them that her 8-yr-old daughter made a recent discovery that freaked her out.  She's been married for ten years to her husband, Jackson.  He has a terrific job, and also goes to school.  He's more like an "afternoon" dad, she says.

Well... her daughter and some friends got into his car after school, and while on the drive home found some women's underwear on the floor.  Daddy's quick explanation to their daughter was that "mommy" had left them there when she was doing laundry.

One day, daughter confronts mommy, and tells her, "mommy, I didn't know you wore the 'string kind'." My first reaction would be, "Really?..Oh...Really?? That mother fucking bastard!!!" LMAO...  Nope, that wasn't the case...  

This apparently didn't push Denise to confront her husband, until today.  She says that she has turned a blind eye over their 10 year marriage, because she didn't want to do anything, but raise their daughter.  Once their daughter was born 8 years ago, everything else seemed pointless.  Denise continued by saying she felt so humiliated after finding this out from her daughter, and the possibility the neighborhood kids went and told their parents.

War of the Roses - Ashley & Jake

In this morning's call, Roula took on the fictional role of Ashley from Plants and Flowers, Incorporated.

Responding to an email from Sarah, Roula and Ryan begin their regular weekly segment of Roula and Ryan's Roses by asking the caller a few questions.  Sarah informs them that she has been dating her fiance, Jake for two years, and are due to be married in couple of weeks.  But she has been feeling a bit uncomfortable lately.  She states that about a month ago, they held their bachelor and bachelorette parties in two different cities.  Jake with his friends in Las Vegas, and Sarah with her friends in New York City.

Over the course of the last month or so, Jake has been really under-performing in bed, not really paying attention to Sarah, and starts to think that maybe it's wedding nerves or cold feet.  But then something really strange happens... last week, Jake receives a text on his phone and when Sarah goes to pick it up, he swipes it away quickly.  She confronts him about the 702 area code, which clearly is from Nevada, and tries to say it was the hotel manager texting to make sure everything went okay during his visit.

Roula and Ryan share their thoughts on the matter, and go over the rules of the "War."  They ask her again if she really wants to go through with this, because regardless of the outcome, Jake will have to know she made the call to the radio station to trick him.

War of the Roses - Rosie & Frank

It's time for the next segment of War of the Roses (Roula & Ryan's Roses).  

Once again, If you're not familiar with the "War of the Roses", then I suggest you read up on my first issue, here.  I wrote a detailed description on how it actually works.

In this morning's call, Roula took the role of Catherine from a Human Resources department of the deceived.

Responding to an email from Rosie, Roula and Ryan ask the caller a few questions before proceeding with their call to Frank, Rosie's boyfriend of 2 years.  She states that Frank recently got hired with a big company which is garnering him a buttload of money.  So much money, that she feels his attitude has changed.  She says that she sleeps over at his apartment about 3 nights a week, which she feels would have changed over the years to where she could be there 7 nights a week, but that has never happened. She also says that Frank was reluctant to give her a key, but he finally gave her one.

A few nights ago Rosie went over to his apartment and noticed that it was a huge mess, like a party had taken place.  There were bottles of champagne, 2 glasses, and a bed that looked like it had been slept in, and not just slept in..., if you get my drift.  And to make matters even worse, she smelt perfume on him about a week ago, and called him up on that too.  He responded by saying that it may have been when he was walking by a kiosk at the mall.  Really Frank, Really?

War of the Roses - Julie & Adam

Wow, it seems like forever since I posted a War of the Roses (Roula & Ryan's Roses) segment, but I finally have one for you.  

Roula and Ryan were taking a break, and rightly so, everyone needs one from to time.

Once again, If you're not familiar with the "War of the Roses", then I suggest you read up on my first issue, here.  I wrote a detailed description on how it actually works.

In this morning's call, Roula took the role of Catherine from Plants & Flowers, Incorporated.  

Roula and Ryan received an email from a girl named Julie, who wanted to send roses to her boyfriend of 1 month, Adam.  At first R & R were hesitant on giving her a chance because their relationship was so young.  But Julie convinced them otherwise, by telling them that Adam had a separate Facebook account which stated he was engaged; It didn't say to whom, but she had a bad feeling about it.

Adam has been having the "time of his life" with Julie.  Could this spell the end to an otherwise exciting time?

Whatever Happened To.... Megan and Paige from War of the Roses?

Unfortunately, Roula and Ryan took a vacation for the remainder of the week, and were unable to do their segment called, "Roula & Ryan's Roses."  If you're not familiar with my new weekly series, "War of the Roses," click here, and read about it first.

But not all is lost this week, Roula and Ryan did follow-up with Megan and Paige from the previous two weeks.

If you may recall, on June 9th, Megan confronted her cheating boyfriend, Hershel, who sent roses to 3 different women.  Roula and Ryan spoke with Megan several days later to find out what happened after their conversation ended...



On last week's issue, Paige was caught in an embarrassing situation when her fiance, Scott, sent the roses to her.  He was going to propose to her on Saturday of last week, but did it happen?  Roula and Ryan find out for you...

War of the Roses - Paige & Scott

War of the Roses (Roula & Ryan's Roses) is back for another week, and this week's call is a little different than the last.

If you're not familiar with how the "War of the Roses" is played out, then I suggest you read up on last week's post.  I wrote a detailed description on how it actually works.
 And the War begins...

In this morning's call, Roula took the role of Manda from Plants & Flowers, Incorporated.  She spoke with long-time listener, Paige who was worried her boyfriend of 4 years was cheating on her.  Sweethearts since college, she and her boyfriend, Scott have never gone a day without sharing things with each other - they would always talk about their jobs, and so forth. But for the last several weeks he has been coming home late, way over his regular 9-5 job.  Roula and Ryan informed her that they needed more information in order to call him, but she really didn't have anything else to say other than her boyfriend being dismissive, and that she hasn't been able to get any answers from him.

Roula and Ryan warned her that if Scott ended up sending the roses to her, instead of someone else, Ryan would still come on the radio, and tell him what's going on. She agreed, and this is how the war raged on...

The Woes of Being a Bad Parent - Woman Steals Ball from Little Girl

What is it with all these grown-ups and their children, or other people's children at baseball games? 

In my second issue of "The Woes of Being a Bad Parent," a woman literally rips the ball out of an innocent little girl's hands.  And high-fives the rest of her crew while the little girl walks away sulking.
