“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Must Watch: Robinsons 'Pals'

Why is it that everyone makes cool advertisements but us?  Oh wait, we have this diet coke commercial I posted earlier. Lol.

The following British commercial for the juice drink, Robinsons, starts off with two friends hanging out with each other.  As the day goes on, they kick the ball, run after each other, and play Star Wars.  When the day reaches it's end, the two boys call it a night.

Are they friends or something more...  The outcome will surprise you.  Check it out.

Sunday Funday: Tom Daley and His Olympic Diving Team

Tom Daley reminds me so much of Thomas Finchum from the US Olympic team.  Remember him?  Well, while we have our favorite little gay boy, so does Great Britain.  Ah you can say whatever, the boy is gay.  Straight girls just wish he was straight.
In either case, Tom Daley and his Olympic diving team took some time off to lip sync to LMFAO's "Sexy and I know It."  And they're right -  they're sexy and they know it!  They paraded around in their speedos, perfectly tanned bodies, and really tight abs.

Enjoy your Sunday, Funday!

A Real Princess Will Show You How It's Done...

While Adele was winning her 6 Grammys in the U.S., Meryl Streep was accepting her BAFTA award for Best Actress for The Iron Lady over in Britain.  But that wasn't the news of the evening - it was the loss of her shoe on her way to accept the award that caused all the buzz.  Luckily for her she had Prince Charming, Colin Firth, there to help slip the shoe back on.  Check out these cute pics.

Crimes of the Century - No. 8 - The Great Train Robbery

THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, 1963

The 15 thieves who held up the Royal Mail train between Glasgow and London on Aug. 8, 1963 netted 120 bags packed with the equivalent of $7 million and were were treated like folk heroes by the press and public. Although the operation took all of 15 minutes, the caper was not as smooth as people remember it. It wasn't non-violent, for one thing (the driver of the train was conked in the head and never fully recovered from the trauma); nor was it as carefully executed (the thieves left fingerprints everywhere).

The case has lived on in memory because of the further adventures of one of its minor players, Ronnie Biggs, whose escape from prison and long years of eluding justice were constant fodder for the British tabs. Readers were fascinated that a small-time hood could end up being part of the biggest heist in British history and be the only one to get away with it all. Biggs eventually gave himself up in 2001, returning voluntarily from Brazil to serve the 28 years remaining in his sentence. Despite pleas for leniency, Biggs, now 77, remains incarcerated and in failing health.

When this article was written, Biggs was still in prison.  He was released on August 06, 2009 on compassionate grounds according to news reports and Wikipedia. - The Great Train Robbery.

As you read through the 25 crimes Time Magazine has selected, you will wonder which of them will remain in the popular, perhaps even the artistic imagination in the years to come? How will they be retold and with what kinds of lessons and cautions in mind?  Visit my blog every Saturday as a new crime will be posted each week.

Go back and read the previous 7 crimes here.
