From school projects to city-wide campaigns, "Rethink Your Drink" has been around for a few years now. If you want proof this helps, I'm living it. I stopped drinking soft drinks and cut down sugar consumption dramatically. And it's made a difference in my life. Now, I don't agree with certain politicians who think we should force people to stop drinking what they want, these are choices we should make on our own. But knowing what we know today, we can prevent our children from developing horrible diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

"When it comes to weight loss, there's no lack of diets promising fast
results. There are low-carb diets, high-carb diets, low-fat diets,
grapefruit diets, cabbage soup diets, and blood type diets, to name
a few. But no matter what diet you may try, to lose weight, you
must take in fewer calories than your body uses. Most people try
to reduce their calorie intake by focusing on food, but another
way to cut calories may be to think about what you drink." -

Now, we all know the Irish love to drink their lives away, but so do American's - especially American single men and women. Check out this pretty cool chart that describes which cities are light drinkers, heavy drinkers, drinkers by religion affiliation, gender and education.

In recognition of St. Patrick’s Day and all those who’ll be drinking green beer this Saturday, we decided to take a look at how the drinking habits of singles vary across the United States.
The infographic below shows the cities with the highest and lowest percentages of self-identified drinking levels, based on how people answer the “How much do you drink?” profile question. Surprised that Vegas is home to the highest percentage of light drinkers? What about D.C. being the highest? Tell us in the comments.
Also, if you haven’t yet, take our poll and tell us: “Has too much drinking ever ruined a first date?” We’ll post the results this week. by Erin Scottberg |
Yeah, this is pretty much what happens. I walk in, buy a couple of drinks, and ask my friends if they want a shot. Why the hell not? LMAO. This chart is telling it like it is.
One of my all-time favorite drinks is an old-fashioned Bloody Mary. I haven't tried this recipe yet, but if you do, let me know. It actually sounds pretty good right about now, but I'm at work :-(
