“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Some Pretty Cool Stuff - Issue No. 011

Today's issue of Some Pretty Cool Stuff has something for everyone; The redneck (gay or straight), who loves drinking beer, children who want to get creative with their bedroom walls, and couples who love to lounge around, reading or having a conversation.

Cap Zappa
For the beer-chugging guys who have nothing else better to do with their time or their bottle caps. LOL.  This little contraption spits out bottle caps and projects them up to 16 feet. I'm thinking this would be kinda fun, but not so sure after everyone is intoxicated.  Maybe it has a warning. LOL. $10.49

Burgerdoodles Wallpaper
This actually is really cool, and I wouldn't mind having one for myself.  Sure, kids would have fun coloring their walls for a lifetime, but you're never too old when it comes to art, right?  Take your pick from a variety of scenes, from New York to Doggie Doodles, and witness your very own artistic talent come to life. $53.00

Loopita Bonita Lounge
Spring is here and Summer is around the corner!  What better way to relax than on your very own two-person lounge chair.  Imagine drinking some Margaritas and reading the next Game of Thrones book on this baby.  Feel free to check out the added pictures here.

The Breathometer - The World's First Smartphone Breathalyzer!

This is really cool, but how many of you would actually use it?

The Breathometer™ is "The World’s First Smartphone Breathalyzer!" It's small enough to fit in your pocket and on a keychain.  If this would have been available when I was younger, it would have saved me several tickets.  Then again, I was young.

All you do is exhale into the device after you're out with your friends, and it will give you the blood alcohol level on your phone.  Hand the keys over to a designated drive or call a cab.  Watch the video - it's great.

And for those who don't know what pledging is - you're supporting an entrepreneur trying to make it big with a product.  Or you simply believe in their campaign and wish to contribute to them.  Prices vary, and the more money they raise, the more they're able to produce and promote a particular product.  This one starts with $20 and you'll have your product by the summer.

The Buckle Puffer

You pot smokers are gonna love this. LOL.  Look, sure it's for tobacco, but c'mon we know what it was truly made for.  And I don't condone smoking pot, but I think the pipe is rather cool.  So if you want one, you better pledge right away.  It's called the Buckle Puffer.

The pipe is secured by a pair of magnets that slides into the belt buckle.  It's made of nickel-plated aluminum, double-barrelled and rustproof.  Feel free to watch the video, and stop watching after three minutes, because the rest of the video is ridiculous.  Unless you like watching chics with bathing suits. LOL.

I was actually quite impressed.  I used to smoke a pipe ions ago, and this would have been cool to have.  But I don't smoke anymore, so that's even more cool. :-)

Overview

We have come up with an innovative sylish and stealth way of carrying a tobacco pipe.
Through months of design, redesign, and testing we have developed our final prototype. The Buckle Puffer is machined from solid blocks of 6061 Aluminum, and then nickel plated in an FDA approved facility. The industrial hard Nickel plating gives the Buckle Puffer a bright shine, long lasting durability, and provides safety when smoking out of. The Buckle Puffer was designed with functionality and style in mind.  Two precisely offset Neodymium magnets (the strongest magnets on the market) are used to create a constant pull on the pipe producing a tight rattle free seal. In addition to the pull of these magnets, we've designed a latching system that utilizes the same magnetic field. The pipe can only be ejected when the magnetic powered release button is pressed. Unlike latches powered by unreliable springs, the magnetically powered latch can never wear out.
Additional features include:
  • Instant put out technology
  • Prevents emission of any noticeable odor due to extremely precise fit.
  • Deep reservoir
  • Double barrel intake
  • 100% boilable for easy cleaning
  • Made in USA

Some Pretty Cool Stuff - Issue No. 008

I'm eager to share "Some Pretty Cool Stuff" I found on the internet this week.  One of the items can even help you in the event you're held captive in another country or your own home.

For those with limited space, the other two items - the bucket and the hanger are definite must-haves.  I have always wanted a hanger for my gym bag so that I can easily store it away after I put on my dress shirt for work.  And the bucket? Well, I don't really need one, but it would be very convenient to have in my garage for washing my car.

Let's start off with this pretty cool bucket.

Pack-Away Bucket
Once in a while we all need a bucket. No need for cheap plastic or heavy, galvanized metal versions that are cumbersome and awkward to store. Enter the award-winning Pack-Away bucket: another of life's little problems solved by Wacky Practicals. Buy $31

SOLO Collapsible Hanger
Don’t let your closet slow you down. SOLO is a collapsible hanger that makes it easy to hang and remove clothes in one swift motion. Its unique design allows you to insert into a wide array of shirts, and then grab and go with just one hand!
-4 hangers in each set
-Collapsible design for grabbing clothes in a single motion
-Slim shape for easy insertion into button-up shirts and turtlenecks
-Folds for travel and storage
-Smooth polypropylene plastic in choice of white or charcoal
Buy $10.99

Titanium Escape Ring
It's a simple but elegant-looking ring made of titanium, cut from solid barstock and polished to a mirror finish.
But unlike all other rings, this one contains a saw and handcuff shim pick combination tool which is completely hidden from view when worn.
Located on a finger, its always in the exact area needed to quickly access and deploy, even when handcuffed.
The shim can be used to open single-locked handcuffs, while the saw can cut zip-ties, disposable handcuffs, duct tape, rope, and other non-metallic materials. Currently out of stock, but when available it will cost you $79.95

Laugh of the Day: Lie Detector

Dane only has one chance to make a stellar first impression. Good thing there's a lie detector present at his job interview! *BEEP* He's screwed. And he's going to find out just how much the truth really hurts.

I was a little hesitant to watch this at first, but as the interview went on it got more and more hilarious.  Old lie detectors have you connected to all kinds of belts, nodes, and crap like that, but not with the lie detector 3000, it's programmed to go off whenever you tell a lie.  So if you lie about the size of your penis, the shows you currently watch, or if you've stolen from previous employers, things can get ugly, or hired. LOL.

iPad 3 Facts

The folks at Joy of Tech have released this wonderful chart showing you the truth about the new iPad 3, and why they think you should get this awesome new pad.

I, for one, am enjoying the original iPad.  I don't get why people keep buying the newer versions of everything, nothing really changes in their lives. LOL.  Seriously. I use mine to check email, get on the internet, read books, blog, and watch videos.  What is so different about the iPad2 or 3 that will make it more convenient for me?  It's not like I'm going to be walking around taking pictures with this huge square object.  I have my iPhone for that. Just sayn'.

Tearing It All Apart

Growing up I found myself tearing things apart; not for aesthetic purposes, but for the mere joy of finding out how they were made.  Of course, once I took the items apart I could never figure out how to put them back together.  I can't recall how many toys, clocks, watches, and miscellaneous things my dad would tell me not to play with, that I destroyed.

Today, the thought of taking apart my cell phone or my iPad would be unthinkable.  I can't imagine what mess I would be in.

In the images below you will be able to see several outdated gadgets, with all the pieces that were used to make them laid out on a table.  At the bottom of the last image, you can click on the 'Read More' link and look at them in a different perspective.  This is photography and technology at its best, check them out.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.
