For The Gays Who Say Our President Hasn't Done Enough For Our Rights...
It irks me to say it, but yes, there are "gays" that side with the Republican party, who would rather see them in hell, hung, or put to death by stones, than to be with a party whose shown more love and compassion than anyone on the right could ever dream of having.
Look at that chart below, and you tell me. Would you have seen this in a Republican president? HELL to the N to the O! If this country elects a Republican in 2012, you seriously need to worry, because they will do whatever they can to overturn what this President has worked so hard to achieve. Mark my words.

But just because I'm gay doesn't mean I agree with the left either. What we need now is a president who will bring this country back to it's feet. Besides he took forever to repeal DADT and the rest are only minor changes.
Very true Jesus, but you missed the point of the message. That none of these would ever be achieved under a Republican administration. Don't take it lightly that some are even attempting to make it to where gays, people like Ryan and myself, will be committing a crime by living together. And yes, they want sodomy laws repealed too. Last night, during the Republican debate the audience booed a gay military soldier who asked them a question on video. It was horrendous. Nothing can be fixed overnight. The economy went to hell in a hay basket in 2007, and there is no way Obama can fix it in 3-1/2 years, much less 4. It will be years before we can recover from the disaster that was left behind by the previous administration. You may not agree with the left, well guess what I may not agree with a lot of the left's issues also, but Ryan and I are definitely luckier to be under this administration.
We are truly lucky to be under Obama. You go my love and I do hope that he does get re-elected. At the same time I still have to give credit to all those stubborn log cabin republicans. Not because of who they always try and put into office, which is usually always someone that'd rather strip us our rights then grant them, but because they are the only ones, I believe, that will eventually help change the minds of all these straight republican politicians in the long run. There will always be a social conservative wing of the republican party, but it's anti-gay beliefs are slowly shrinking the more the older generations die off and the younger ones take over. Not to mention that once the gays put their money together, suddenly straight money looks a whole lot like gay money and before you know it you can't tell the difference. Just look at gay marriage in NY. Couldn't have done it without republican votes, as well as the money to help get them there. In the end I still am a democrat and I still love Obama. One day neither party will be the pro or anti gay party because nobody will care anymore, but unfortunately we're not quite there yet. Thank you for what you've done and are currently trying to do to make progress for gays, log cabins republicans, but if any of your 2012 contenders gets Obama's job, then don't expect any progress for us in the following four years. Just pray that we get to keep the rights that we got because of President Obama. We'd be lucky if we do.
