“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Laugh of the Day: Oprah Repos Her Favorite Things

OMG, this was f-ing hilarious! You need to watch this.  Everybody and their mother knows Oprah, and everybody and their grandmother remembers when she used to give away her favorite things.  Well, Jimmy Kimmel decides to take a trip to the OWN offices to share some new show ideas for her television network.  For example, one of his show ideas is to have Oprah take her things back from the people she gave her favorite things to.  Let me tell you, the moment I saw Oprah taking one of her cars back, I started ROFL.  I won't say anymore, you gotta watch. This is some funny shit.

Anderson

What has been known for over a year, or ever since Oprah announced she was leaving her show, is finally coming true this fall.  Anderson Cooper's new daytime talk show will premiere on September 12, a day after the 10 year anniversary of 9/11.

The show will simply be titled, "ANDERSON."  You can click on the picture to check out his new official website.  I'm actually hoping his show does really well, and he's able to capture as many hearts in America as he can.

Anderson has never married, and has been rumored to be gay.  In fact, he's been spotted several times over the past several years with a guy pal, but he's never publicly disclosed his sexuality.  I respect that, he doesn't have to share it if he doesn't want to. I mean, don't get me wrong, If he were to garner the amount of popularity Oprah did during the 25 years on her show, and came out during one of his tapings.  This would be like the breaking news of the decade!  All the gays would be jumping for joy. LOL  But honestly, we need people like the "Silver Fox" to stand behind us, and fight the fight.

Jimmy Fallon's Pros & Cons of Oprah's Last Show

As everyone knows by now, Oprah's last show, after 25 years on network television, ended on Wednesday, May 25th.  And as heartbreaking as it was to millions of women and gays around the world, Jimmy Fallon had to humor her audience in the most comical of ways.  By distinguishing the Pros & Cons of Oprah's last show.

The Astounding 5th Grade Glee Club Known As P.S. 22 Chorus

I was looking for a musical cover to "The Call" by Regina Spektor when I came across a 5th grade glee club performing the song.  And if that wasn't strange enough, the 5th graders, who are known as P.S. 22 Chorus, will be performing at the Oscars this year.  What are the chances of me finding that out? Slim to none, I'd say.

The chorus have their own blog, http://www.ps22chorus.blogspot.com/  and have been featured on NBC Today, CNN, and Oprah.   They have also had the pleasure of meeting famous musicians such as Kyle Minogue, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and many more.

I thoroughly enjoyed their performance and shed a tear while watching them sing.  Then again, the song itself would make anyone cry.  I have posted the song by Regina Spektor as today's Music Video of The Day and have posted the 5th grade class singing the song down below.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.
