A Real Princess Will Show You How It's Done...
While Adele was winning her 6 Grammys in the U.S., Meryl Streep was accepting her BAFTA award for Best Actress for The Iron Lady over in Britain. But that wasn't the news of the evening - it was the loss of her shoe on her way to accept the award that caused all the buzz. Luckily for her she had Prince Charming, Colin Firth, there to help slip the shoe back on. Check out these cute pics.

What a Hot Mess: Where's Dodo's Ear, Petco?
I used to wonder if it was a good idea to take our pets to Petco or PetsMart to have groomed. But it wasn't until Ryan came home with our chihuahua, Lady, shaking and trembling that I realized it wasn't. I lost all respect for these establishments. More so Petco, because "They dropped our dog on the floor and were about to kick her like a football!", Ryan screamed. Boy, was I pissed, but this story has nothing to do with our pets. It's about the hot mess you're about to read.
Last summer, Grandma Gladys took her doggie, Dodo, to the local Petco to have her groomed. What she got back was a bloody dog with only part of an ear left. Yep, Dodo was missing a piece of her ear. What a hot fucking mess!
But that isn't the crazy part of this whole story, it's what the vet told her when she took Dodo to the vet. "[She] was dried, bloody, was dry blood, everything," Gladys told the Hawaii News . "I noticed that at home, so when I took her to the vet, the doctor had told me it looked like they tried to glue it back."
GLUE IT BACK!?!?! Unbelievable! Are you fucking kidding me? I would have gone back and got a piece of all their ears. Jesus! Who hires these people anyway? And this isn't the only dog this has happened to. One dog had part of its tail cut off. You should read the article here it's downright ridiculous.

Gyroscopic Self-Leveling Pool Table on the Cruise Ship "Radiance of the Seas"
I'm not sure how many of you have ever played Pool, but it is one of my favorite past-time sports. Yes, I call it a sport because it's recognized as part of the family of cue sports and games. Yes, you can click on that link to read up on it's history. I'm here to write about this really cool pool table on the "Radiance of the Seas" cruise ship.
This has got to be one of the most fascinating things I've seen. I, personally have never seen anything like it, but the table is self-leveling. Meaning, it is Gyrocscopic - the table will remain level regardless of how rough the seas get. It is mechanically engineered to move with the ship.

YouTube: As the ship moves the pool table adjusts so that the billiard balls don't move at all, even in rough weather. If you look closely you can see that the balls remain still as the table moves, enabling you to play in almost any conditions..

WTF Has Obama Done? - Issue No. 015 - Law & Justice
What is Criminal Justice? Courtesy of wiseGeek, it is the application or study of laws regarding criminal behavior. Those who study criminal justice include the police, those working in a judiciary capacity, and lawyers who either defend or prosecute those accused of a crime. Others work to advocate for changes in the current system of criminal justice, such as those who render decisions regarding current laws, like members of Supreme Courts. It is important that the criminal justice system includes the word justice, since laws applied to those accused of a crime should be fair.
So what has President Barack Obama done concerning Law & Justice? Well, he appointed the first Latina to the Supreme Court, the first black Attorney General, outlined a new federal drug control policy, established crimes programs for the New Orleans area, and has managed to watch the U.S. population decline for the first time in decades.
Today, we will look at one broad policy, one funding achievement, and a targeted action in reference to Law & Justice.
The new drug control strategy to be released Tuesday boosts community-based anti-drug programs, encourages health care providers to screen for drug problems before addiction sets in and expands treatment beyond specialty centers to mainstream health care facilities.
"It changes the whole discussion about ending the war on drugs and recognizes that we have a responsibility to reduce our own drug use in this country," Gil Kerlikowske, the White House drug czar, said in an interview.
The plan – the first drug plan unveiled by the Obama White House – calls for reducing the rate of youth drug use by 15 percent over the next five years and for similar reductions in chronic drug use, drug abuse deaths and drugged driving. [Reference]
The U.S. Justice Department uses the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program to send crime-fighting money to cities, towns and counties. The grants can be used for law enforcement functions such as prosecutions, court programs, drug treatment and education, technology upgrades, planning programs, and crime victim and witness programs. Local programs are often adopted nationally, such as drug courts, methamphetamine lab reduction, antigang strategies, re-entry programs and information sharing protocols, according to the National Criminal Justice Association, a national association that represents local enforcement agencies. [Reference]
Sotomayor was easily confirmed in a 68-31 vote. Nine Republicans joined a unanimous Democratic caucus in supporting her nomination.
Sotomayor, a 55-year-old federal appeals court judge, is the 111th person to sit on the high court and the third female justice.
She was sworn in at the Supreme Court by Chief Justice John Roberts on Saturday, August 8, 2009 [Reference-1, Reference-2]

Outlined new federal drug control policy.
The White House is putting more resources into drug prevention and treatment, part of President Barack Obama's pledge to treat illegal drug use more as a public health issue than a criminal justice problem. The new drug control strategy to be released Tuesday boosts community-based anti-drug programs, encourages health care providers to screen for drug problems before addiction sets in and expands treatment beyond specialty centers to mainstream health care facilities.

Restored funding for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne/JAG) program.
"The (Bush) administration has consistently proposed to cut or eliminate funding for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne/JAG) program, which funds anti-drug and anti-gang task forces across the country. …Since 2000, this program has been cut more than 83 percent. ... As president, Obama will restore funding."The U.S. Justice Department uses the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program to send crime-fighting money to cities, towns and counties. Laugh of the Day: How It Really Happened With Adele
Okay, I don't care if you don't read anything on my blog, or read anything I write for that matter - the one thing you have to do is watch this video. This will be the funniest video, picture, or post you've seen all day.
I can't take it anymore! My ass is still rolling on the floor laughing from watching this funny-ass-hell skit. I'm sorry, excuse my French, but this has got to be be the funniest thing I've seen in years! Thank you Phillip Adl, for sharing.
Adele's one night stand turned into the record-breaking diva who won 6 Grammys and walked away with a fortune, because of some loser.

Prologue: Back in the winter of January, 2010, my partner Ryan wrote a response on one of my blogs that I don't even think he remembers. Unbeknownst to him, I saved it and have treasured it ever since. Since today is Valentine's Day, I'd like to share it with the readers of my blog, and to all my Facebook friends and family. I love you all, and hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day.

I love you bunches my angel. Thank you for trusting in me enough to love me and ultimately risk your most precious emotions too. I love you with all my heart, body and soul. I can never thank you enough for being the greatest man that I have ever known. My gamble pays off every night I hold you in my arms and kiss you goodnight and realize that I'm the luckiest person in the world to have finally found their soul mate. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so very much. Enjoy your day my love. Goodbye."

Things We Can Do To Save The Environment - Issue No. 04: Light Up Your City
If it's one thing I really appreciate, it's the lighting around our neighborhood. I guess now would be as good as time as any to ask our Homeowner's Association if they're burning our tax money by using old lights, instead of LEDs.
Giving credit to TIME, I'd like to thank them for showing us the many ways we can meet these goals of saving our environment. And yes, even one person can make a difference, and it starts with YOU!
The Global Warming Survival Guide

4. Light Up Your City
Cities can save energy—and money—by illuminating public spaces with LEDs, or light-emitting diodes. Last December Raleigh, N.C., turned one floor of a municipal parking garage into a testing ground for LEDs (see the before-and-after photos at cree.com/LEDcity).The new white, brighter fixtures use 40% less electricity than the high-pressure sodium bulbs they replaced. Although they cost two to three times as much, they can go five or more years without upkeep. Traditional bulbs must be replaced every 18 months. Other types of LEDs are already at work in traffic lights, outdoor displays (like those in New York City's Times Square) and stadiums; airports even use LEDs on their taxiways. If your city is still burning tax money on old lights, ask the mayor why.

WTF Has Obama Done? - Issue No. 013 - Employment: Jobs
I hope everyone had a good weekend, minus the unfortunate news about Whitney Houston. May God bless her and her family during this time of grief. Just another quick reminder of how important it is to tell the people in your life how much you love them. Start today, because death knows neither time or day, we can be gone in a matter of minutes, hours or days.
As promised, Issue No. 13 will be about Jobs, because according to Fox News and a particular party President Obama hasn't done a damn thing, which is simply not the case. As a matter of fact, job losses exploded under former President George W. Bush, and has been recovering ever since. [Reference]
President Barack Obama has not only managed to achieve 3 broad policies, 6 sources of funding and 6 targeted areas when it comes to job creation, he's also managed to produce 9 results. Today I will cover 1 from each area.
Highways: $27.5 billion
Transit: $8.4 billion
Amtrak: $800 million
[Reference-1, Reference-2]
Obama, who has made job creation the top priority of his administration, spoke as the White House got a rare economic boost when GDP data showed growth for the fourth quarter at a higher than expected 5.7 percent.
"It is time to put America back to work. We have had two very tough years," Obama said, as he toured a small factory in Baltimore, Maryland.
The proposal, which must be passed by Congress, would allow small businesses to claim a 5,000-dollar tax credit for every new employee they hire and to be reimbursed for Social Security retirement taxes on increased payrolls. [Reference-1, Reference-2, Reference-3]
Obama comes through on both parts of this promise.
Creating jobs that are also good for the environment was a big part of Barack Obama's campaign platform.
The $787 billion measure included several tax cuts, including one for $400 ($800 per working couple) that showed up in workers' paychecks. It also created Build America Bonds, expanded unemployment insurance and funded several domestic spending programs.
Several of these provisions are now being expanded in legislation extending expiring measures that the House could vote on later Wednesday.[Reference-1, Reference-2]

Jobs for Main Street Act (2010).
In a close vote of 217-212, the House passed a $154 billion jobs bill (HR 2847) on December 16, 2009. The “Jobs for Main Street Act of 2010” includes $36.7 billion for highways and transit, and extends several other programs aimed at creating jobs and helping those hit hardest by the recession. The Senate is not expected to consider the bill this year, and may craft its own version after reconvening in 2010. H.R. 2847 also incorporates the Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2009, which extends the core highway, highway safety, and transit programs through September 30, 2010, at $53.3 billion, the level assumed in the FY 2010 budget resolution. In addition, the bill repeals the provision that prohibits Highway Trust Fund balances from earning interest and restores $20 billion to the Highway Trust Fund.Highways: $27.5 billion
Transit: $8.4 billion
Amtrak: $800 million

$33 billion-dollar jobs package (March 2010).
US President Barack Obama unveiled a 33-billion-dollar package of tax cuts Friday to encourage small businesses to hire new workers, as he takes aim at 10 percent unemployment.Obama, who has made job creation the top priority of his administration, spoke as the White House got a rare economic boost when GDP data showed growth for the fourth quarter at a higher than expected 5.7 percent.
"It is time to put America back to work. We have had two very tough years," Obama said, as he toured a small factory in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job training programs in clean technologies for displaced workers.
Obama comes through on both parts of this promise.
Creating jobs that are also good for the environment was a big part of Barack Obama's campaign platform.
It was also a big part of the stimulus package he signed in early 2009. All told, the bill included $500 million to support job creation in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector. The administration has been busy doling out this grant money to train displaced workers in the areas of home weatherization, hybrid and electric car maintenance and solar panel installation.
On Jan. 6, 2010, for instance, the Labor Department announced that $100 million will go to 25 projects around the country.
When Obama signed the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act in April 2009, he also created the Clean Energy Service Corps. The program will train young people to install solar panels, weatherize homes and conduct energy audits, among other things. [Reference-1]

CBO found 3.7 Million jobs created by stimulus (May 2010).
A report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office shows the Recovery Act has increased the number of workers by between 1.2 million and 2.8 million. The CBO also projects that 3.7 million jobs could be attributed to the stimulus by the end of September, 2010.
