“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Who's Who on Superman: Man of Steele?

We already know who will be playing Superman (Henry Cavill), but who will be playing his worldly parents?

Zack Snyder, the director of Superman: Man of Steele, along with Warner Brothers announced yesterday, that Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Secretariat) would be playing Martha Kent, "the only mother Clark Kent has ever known," and “This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination.”

The Hollywood Reporter also writes that Kevin Costner is a "person of interest" for the role of Superman's father, Jonathan Kent.

Other well-known actors possibly joining the cast are Viggo Mortensen as General Zod and Lindsay Lohan as Ursa, but we all know what kinda mess Lindsay is in.  And besides, a rumor is just that, a rumor.  Until Warner Bros. or Zack Snyder come out and say who's playing who, I'll leave it at that.

Having Lindsey star in something at this point is the same thing as having one of the Olsen twins star in Beastly, whatever they touch instantly turns to shit. I've never seen Beastly but all I can hear about on the radio is how one of the Olsen twins stars in it and suddenly, no matter how big or small that part may be, no one wants to take this movie seriously. Dear God we cannot have that happen to Superman. Kevin Costner is bad enough, but Lindsey Lohan? Let's just have Nicholas Cage be the Daily Planet's editor and chief and have that Transformer's chick be Lois Lane so we can sink this project quick and start thinking up the next Superman redo. Please Jesus, trash anything else but not Superman!
