Last Friday, President Obama announced that the remaining American troops in Iraq will leave the country by the end of 2011. Here’s a quick reminder of the war’s price tag.
Pretty sad when you think about it. This unnecessary war most importantly cost us nearly 5,000 American soldier's lives, over 30,000 severely wounded with complications they will endure for the rest of their lives, and 92,000 Iraqi civilians also perished.

Was it all worth it for the death of one bad guy, considering how many bad guys there still are around the world, some of which our government even supports? Just goes to show how important one presidential election can be. Kerry might have been boring, but knowing how he did serve his country honorably, I severely doubt he would have taken us into Iraq, using all that money as well as destroying all those lives. Republicans cry about how Obama is getting the country into too much debt, but considering that he's trying to jump start the economy to help us versus using all our funds to fight an unnecessary war which practically all republicans supported years ago, it's really about time they needed the shut the f&*k up. My only hope is that our history books of the future will clearly show how wrong they were for so many years. Then again, that's naive to believe considering they'll just rewrite them to fit their needs, if they're still in charge thanks to idiot conservative voters. I really hope for the best in the next four years. We can't be thrown into conservative leadership again so soon. The economy of the country just wouldn't be able to handle it.
