Read more after the jump... On why you should make Mondays more meaningful instead of dreading them.
What do you have to do this week? Use just 10 minutes Sunday night to mentally go over your week. What needs to be done? What are the most important tasks that need to be finished first? Once you have these (preferably written down) listed, you won’t have to waste time Monday morning going over what needs to be done and instead, you’ll be able to jump right into tackling these tasks.
What makes you more productive? Does listening to your favorite music help you focus and push through your work or do you have to shut your office door in order to concentrate? Do what works for you so you can bang out as much work as possible. Use Monday to your advantage! If you can make the beginning of your week extremely productive, you may find that later on in the week you finally catch up instead of being in survival/catch-up mode, you have time for other activities or to think of new ideas, or maybe you can leave work on time (early if you are lucky!) or (gasp!) feel relief and satisfaction over the amount you have accomplished throughout the week!
Instead of dreading Mondays, attack them! Motivate others to do the same so we can all catch the positivity and be bright at the start of the work week! Now when someone asks you tomorrow how are you, you can respond “Great, because it’s Monday”.
