New York artist Isaac Bidwell created a series of illustrations titled, Puppet Massacre, where he re-imagined several Sesame Street characters as horror film icons. Check them out, they're pretty cool. I especially love Elmo as Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street series and Big Bird as Pinhead from Hellraiser. LOL.

Movies to Watch - Maybe - Carrie
Personally, I think re-making a classic Stephen King movie such as Carrie is like an amateur producer asking, "Why don't we re-make the musical, Grease?". Okay, so maybe I'm being a little too facetious.
All kidding aside, the upcoming movie, Carrie looks pretty darn good even though I have reservations about it. Here's the trailer in case you haven't seen it. The power of Christ compels you to.

Music Video Flashback - 2010: WHIP YO EXORCIST
I'm sorry, but I was feeling a bit nostalgic and had to share this wonderful, wonderful video. It's been so long since I've posted a Music Video Flashback and came across this parody to Willow Smith's song, "Whip Your Hair".
I can't believe how fast time has flown by. Her song was released in the fall of 2010 and here we are - a year and half later - whipping our hair back and forth. LOL.
I posted this video on Facebook around the same time and wanted to share it with my blog readers. The video uses footage of Linda Blair from the notorious horror movie, "The Exorcist", and she does in fact whip her back and forth. LOL.

Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 19 - Please Keep Your Pets Inside!

Ken Aden |
Ken Aden, a Democratic congressional candidate from Arkansas informed the Blue Arkansas that when he got home last night, he got "the most chilling phone call" he'd ever received. He told police that his Campaign Manager, Jake Burris and his four kids had returned home after the long weekend when one of his children found their family cat on the porch - SLAUGHTERED!
According to Aden's campaign the cat "had one side of its head bashed in to the point the cat's eyeball was barely hanging from its socket." and the word "LIBERAL" written across its side.
The article goes on to say...
Both Ken and Jake though made it clear that they weren’t going to back down on the campaign trail, both agreeing that caving to this kind of behavior would only make things worse. - Blue Arkansas

SIRI: The Horror Movie
Okay, so what if it's a bit campy or a bit cheesy. Wait. Does that mean the same thing? Oh what the hell, you knew it was only a matter of time a Siri movie would transpire. That annoying little bitch on the iPhone 4S is on a rampage, and she's taking no prisoners.

Movies to Watch: The Thing (First Full-length Trailer)
I'd have to say that after watching the following trailer, they have done a really great job re-creating everything surrounding the original movie.
This prequel of the same name to The Thing, was a horror/suspense/thriller released in the early 1980's. I had never seen it before (for fear of scary movies), until Ryan and I bought the DVD for our collection. I'd have to say, it instantly became a genuine classic amongst our 1,300 Blu-ray/DVDs.
I'm actually glad they didn't remake the movie, but instead gave us an insight into what happened before the events of the original movie. I don't want to spoil it for everyone, but I highly recommend you watch the first movie.
The trailer below doesn't spoil anything, so you can see this and the original.

Movies to Watch: Shark Night 3D
As with most teen flicks, the boys are dressed in shorts, shirtless, and with girls prancing around half-naked. I'm not complaining, they're hot. :-)
This is the last time I go to Louisiana, oh wait... I haven't been. In either case, the movie has to do with some crazy dude who fills a lake with a butt-load of hungry sharks, and uses the hotties as test subjects. Really? Really? Okay, I know Hollywood is having a difficult time being creative (with their remakes and all), but JAWS happened over 30 years ago and it still beats the crap out of this.
Anyway here's the deal:
Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast. But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks! Now I'm truly excited! Check out the trailer below:
