“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Spider: The Scariest Thing You'll Ever See

I'm warning you, this is probably the scariest thing you will ever see.  I'm not one for watching horror flicks or anything gross and disgusting, but Ryan somehow manages to convince me.  Case and point, The Evil Dead, The Walking Dead, Insidious, The Human Centipede - do I need to go further?  In either case, Stephen Saban over at WOW posted this video yesterday and it's horrifying.  It's the eggs, damn you - it's the eggs!
Creator, Landon Meier of the award-winning Baby Head Masks was the genius behind this film.

Shark Tries to Steal Kayak Fisherman's Fish

Okay, I'm going to say this guy was probably scared shitless.  Excuse my French, but I would have screamed for dear life if I was fishing on a Kayak and a shark jumped out of the water to take my fish.

Movies to Watch - Maybe - Carrie

Personally,  I think re-making a classic Stephen King movie such as Carrie is like an amateur producer asking, "Why don't we re-make the musical, Grease?".  Okay, so maybe I'm being a little too facetious.

All kidding aside, the upcoming movie, Carrie looks pretty darn good even though I have reservations about it.  Here's the trailer in case you haven't seen it.  The power of Christ compels you to.

The Atlantic Road

I'm sorry, but this is scary as hell.  Look at the waves from the Atlantic as this guy crosses this superhighway in Norway.  It's downright terrifying.
According to the description, The Atlantic Road was built in 1983-1989 and has become a very popular road for tourists visiting the north-west coast of Norway.

Yeah, my ass wouldn't be crossing the Atlantic by road. LOL. Well... maybe if the sea was calm.

Does Anyone Have a BA in Linguisitics?

Because I would like to know WTF is up with this picture. LOL. It's pretty darn scary looking.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 57 - Polar Smashing Bear

Now, this would definitely scare the hell out of me.

Imagine going to the Antarctica Zoo, Sea World, The Amazon, or Africa and while you're talking to your buddy about last night's conquest, a Polar Bear swimming in the aquarium inches from you, approaches the glass to say hi.

You don't pay attention to him, so he decides to throw a rock at you, shattering the glass behind you.  My thoughts are... 1) you run as fast you can out of the building, 2) continue talking to your buddy, or 3) stay put and tape the damn thing.

Not a hard decision is it? LOL.

ARACHNOTOWN

I sure hope whoever lives in this small town of 8,000 people doesn't have Arachnophobia, because it looks pretty darn scary.  Did you get that?  If you have a fear of spiders do not view these photos.
A town in the southeastern part of Australia had to evacuate because of rising flood waters, but they're in for a big surprise when they all return.   After everything is said and done, they're coming back to their yards covered in webs and SPIDERS!  And lots of them.  Read the full story here, and check out the photos below.

The United States of Scary Things

I think this chart is close to accurate.  Especially when you talk about gambling addiction, mormons, the devil, and the lobster people. LOL.

Must Watch: The Walking Dead

If none of you have ever seen The Walking Dead, then I'm going to repeat what I said back on August 7, and revise what I said, "If it's two things we all should watch in life, it's it's Dexter and Spartacus," and change it to "three things we should watch in life..."

I have never sat through one episode of a show, and said "fuck it, let's watch the whole season."  Until early this year when my partner, Ryan had me sit down to watch the first episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead."

Let me say this much... the graphics, the storyline and all the actors on this show are phenomenal.  It's not your zombie movie of yesteryear, it's so much better and so much more.  I promise you, the moment you see the first episode you will be hooked.  A lot of emotion went into the making of this television series, and all I can ask, is that you watch the trailer below.  Its for the first season, which consisted of 6 episodes.  You will not regret it.

For all The Walking Dead fans, I'm sure you already know the second season premieres next Sunday, October 16th.  But what you might not know, was that six, 2-1/2 minute webisodes were released on AMC over the summer.  If you want to find out what happened to the bicycle girl from the show's pilot, and are interested in seeing what happened to the rest of the world during the outbreak, I have posted all 6 webisodes after the jump... check them out.

Movies to Watch: The Thing (First Full-length Trailer)

I'd have to say that after watching the following trailer, they have done a really great job re-creating everything surrounding the original movie.

This prequel of the same name to The Thing, was a horror/suspense/thriller released in the early 1980's.  I had never seen it before (for fear of scary movies), until Ryan and I bought the DVD for our collection.  I'd have to say, it instantly became a genuine classic amongst our 1,300 Blu-ray/DVDs.

I'm actually glad they didn't remake the movie, but instead gave us an insight into what happened before the events of the original movie.  I don't want to spoil it for everyone, but I highly recommend you watch the first movie.

The trailer below doesn't spoil anything, so you can see this and the original.

Want To Be Scary This Halloween?

Well a baby mask is all you need.  Seriously?  These baby masks are so damn creepy it will give you nightmares for days, weeks, months or years.  Hell, I know I would be traumatized for life.  I thought the movies from the 70's, "It's Alive" and "It Lives Again" were scary as shit, but this cuts the cake.

If interested, you can buy these beauties at www.hyperflesh.com.  Check out the video after the jump.  It features a couple, and their child wearing these terrible creations as they walk through the streets of Denver, terrifying onlookers at every turn.

See the creepy video.

Movies to Watch: Shark Night 3D

Can you say soft-core porn at it's best?  If you can, then you got the plot to the movie, Shark Night 3D.  And you know, you are all going out to dinner, and this is the movie you will be watching.  Granted, the movie was produced by the gory, and disgusting movie, Hostel, and one of the producers from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it seems mediocre at best.

As with most teen flicks, the boys are dressed in shorts, shirtless, and with girls prancing around half-naked.  I'm not complaining, they're hot. :-)

This is the last time I go to Louisiana, oh wait... I haven't been.  In either case, the movie has to do with some crazy dude who fills a lake with a butt-load of hungry sharks, and uses the hotties as test subjects.  Really?  Really?  Okay, I know Hollywood is having a difficult time being creative (with their remakes and all), but JAWS happened over 30 years ago and it still beats the crap out of this.

Anyway here's the deal:
Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast. But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks!
Now I'm truly excited! Check out the trailer below:

Porcelain Figurines You Wish You Hadn't Seen

Remember when your mother, aunt, grandmother, or anyone else in your family for that matter, used to collect those cute little porcelain figurines?  You know, like this one? >>>

Well... an artist by the name of Jessica Harrison from the UK has her own rendition of these figurines.  They are not your everyday collection and if you're easy on the stomach, I recommend you close this post and just go over to my hotties section.  But if you wish to discover what I'm talking about, Simply click here, or click the "After the jump" link down below.

Jessica shows her figurines in various poses, which are downright gruesome, bloody and scary; Limbs torn from their bodies, eyes plucked out, blood spatter everywhere, and so forth.  But if you like that sort of thing called, "ART," then her site is just for you.

Who all thinks Jessica has a little problem?
I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.

There are 3 other ways you can find interesting topics to read as well.
