Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 34 - My Boo Caught Me Sleepin'

Earlier this week it was a hot mess for some teenagers who posted pics of themselves online with their dead relatives in the background.  But now I'm left wondering if this was a mess at all, or Are People Really This Stupid?  Seriously?

Take a look at these geniuses as a their "Bae, Babe, Baby, Boo" take their pics while sleeping.  Ahhhhh, the joy of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.etc.  Thank God, these didn't exist when I was a teenager, LOL.

Saturday Morning Coffee Break: Different

What if things were a little "Different" and instead of gays being discriminated against, it were straight people - In our churches, schools, and our daily lives?

Justin has a secret crush on Joanne, a girl he wants to invite to the prom; Unbeknownst to him, she already has a date with another girl from school (a cover).  Meanwhile the quarterback of the football team, Bobby, thinks Justin is playing hard to get.  But the fact is, Justin is straight and in the closet.  Later, things start to get ugly when Justin gets caught sneaking a kiss from Joanne.

Today's Saturday Morning Coffee Break was the winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Student Film at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2004.  While I usually find myself saying to "enjoy" today's feature - not so sure about this one, but it's one that makes you look at things a little bit "Differently".

You may remember, last week the award went to David Laferriere for being the best dad ever!  He earned the award because of the many drawings he creates on his kid's sandwich bags.  Well, now there's Nina Levy, who is an absolutely amazing artist.  She creates these magnificent drawings that are out of this world.  And she's been doing them every night for the past 6 years!

What Would Happen If The World Lost Oxygen For 5 Seconds?

Remember what would happen if the sun were to disappear?  It wasn't a pretty outcome, was it?  Well, what would happen if the world lost oxygen for 5 seconds?  Yes, I said 5 seconds.  

At first, I'm thinking, "ah, we'll be alright." lol. But once I found out that everything in this world exists because the perfect amount of oxygen, I had a different outlook on this beautiful chemical element we so desperately need.  And the fact everyone's inner ear would explode.

Can you name another President or World Leader who has been outspoken and supportive of LGBT equality?  No, you can't.

What is even more striking about the quote and video below is that at the end of Tuesday's news conference, The President wasn't initially asked about Collins.  

As he was leaving the podium, he turned around, came back and said this: 

"Yeah, I’ll say something about Jason Collins. I had a chance to talk to him yesterday. He seems like a terrific young man, and, you know, I told him I couldn’t be prouder of him. You know, one of the extraordinary measures of progress that we’ve seen in this country has been the recognition that the LGBT community deserves full equality, not just partial equality, not just tolerance but a recognition that they’re fully a part of the American family.

And, you know, given the importance of sports in our society, for an individual who’s excelled at the highest levels in one of major sports go ahead and say, this is who I am, I’m proud of it, I’m still a great competitor, I’m still seven feet tall and can bang with Shaq and, you know, deliver a hard foul — and for, you know, a lot of young people out there who, you know, are — are — are, you know, gay or lesbian, who are struggling with these issues, to see a role model like that who’s unafraid, I think it’s a great thing. And I think America should be proud that this is just one more step in this ongoing recognition that we treat everybody fairly. I'm warning you, this is probably the scariest thing you will ever see.  I'm not one for watching horror flicks or anything gross and disgusting, but Ryan somehow manages to convince me.  Case and point, The Evil Dead, The Walking Dead, Insidious, The Human Centipede - do I need to go further?  In either case, Stephen Saban over at WOW posted this video yesterday and it's horrifying.  It's the eggs, damn you - it's the eggs!
