“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Must Watch... You Will Definitely Share This...

I was reading my news feed on Facebook yesterday afternoon and saw a video my friend Brett Daminski posted on his wall, and I'm not gonna lie, I got emotional towards the middle and towards the end of the video.
If it's one video you will want to share over and over again, it will be this one.  It's true.  We take so much for granted in our lives, that we never realize how much it would have meant if we had given that homeless guy just 25 cents or that lawn mower man a bottle of water.

There's a neighbor across mine and Ryan's street named Mary, who comes over from time to time asking if I could help her with her A/C repairs up in the attic, check her car because it won't start, or fix her fence when it's broken.  She's in her late 60's, and using her cane she slowly walks over to our house asking for help.  And in all the times I've helped her I knew it made a difference in her life as well as mine. Ryan and I came over one weekend and planted a Crape Myrtle in her yard, because she said anything she ever planted always died.  So we went and got her something that was tolerant to Texas weather, and now that Myrtle blooms every year.  She's not family, and technically she's not a friend, but she's a human being, and we love her regardless.

Feel free to share this video with all your friends, family and anyone you love for that matter, preferably with this blog, because it's important that people read why I posted it.

That was so sweet. I do what I can at times, especially when it comes to my job, to try and help people out as much as possible, even if I get in trouble sometimes for caring too much. It's not enough though, and when we have more money to save and spend, I really want to do more. Donating to the causes we care about and even volunteering once a month somehow would be an excellent thing. We both are truly blessed, and we really should do more to give back since we've been really lucky to have so much.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.

There are 3 other ways you can find interesting topics to read as well.

*Clicking on any of the links under my "Favorite Categories" section on the left hand side of your screen

*Using the Google Search bar under the scrolling text.

*By choosing a date from the drop down list on the right hand side of your screen.

Hope you enjoy my daily posts, and hope to hear from you soon.
