“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

My Blog Is Back!

For those who are not aware, my blog gets about 650 views a day, which is not bad, considering I've been online for only 4-1/2 months. And even though I'm not a great writer, I do enjoy writing. I do it to share my thoughts and opinions; the mere joy, and happiness it gives me is refreshing.

But....

I about lost it yesterday evening when I logged on, every post I'd written over the past two days were missing.  I normally write posts a day or two in advance so that when the next day arrives they automatically post at specific times throughout the day.  So those I wrote for Friday, the 13th are also missing.  Blogger states they will restore them slowly, but who knows. Here is there reasoning behind it...
What a frustrating day. We’re very sorry that you’ve been unable to publish to Blogger for the past 20.5 hours. We’re nearly back to normal — you can publish again, and in the coming hours posts and comments that were temporarily removed should be restored.  Thank you for your patience while we fix this situation.  We use Blogger for our own blogs, so we’ve also felt your pain.

Here’s what happened: during scheduled maintenance work Wednesday night, we experienced some data corruption that impacted Blogger’s behavior. Since then, bloggers and readers may have experienced a variety of anomalies including intermittent outages, disappearing posts, and arriving at unintended blogs or error pages. A small subset of Blogger users (we estimate 0.16%) may have encountered additional problems specific to their accounts. Yesterday we returned Blogger to a pre-maintenance state and placed the service in read-only mode while we worked on restoring all content: that’s why you haven’t been able to publish.  We rolled back to a version of Blogger as of Wednesday May 11th, so your posts since then were temporarily removed. Those are the posts that we’re in the progress of restoring.

Again, we are very sorry for the impact to our authors and readers.  We try hard to ensure Blogger is always available for you to share your thoughts and opinions with the world, and we’ll do our best to prevent this from happening again.

I've heard other members say that BLOGGER is still the best service out there, and that communication yesterday was mediocre at best. But I'm hoping better communication will be made in the next several months and years, because it takes a lot of time and effort to write these posts; for some folks - it's their job.  I don't advertise on my blogs, so it doesn't affect me as much, but it does sadden me when I can't see my work.

Thank you for your patience during this downtime.  I will begin blogging new posts within the hour.

Have a great weekend!

Well, at least you're back, my love. How is it that when somehow you're part of a select chosen few of only .16% it's never for something wonderfully spectacular like winning the lottery but only for the sh!t end of the stick like what happened here. Only .16%? Really? As many complaints as you told me happened something tells me it might have been a little bit more then that small fraction of blog users. Oh well, just please back up and save all you're work somehow. You know how the technology gods just love to f&*k with you.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.

There are 3 other ways you can find interesting topics to read as well.

*Clicking on any of the links under my "Favorite Categories" section on the left hand side of your screen

*Using the Google Search bar under the scrolling text.

*By choosing a date from the drop down list on the right hand side of your screen.

Hope you enjoy my daily posts, and hope to hear from you soon.
