If you want something to make your day, the following video is it. OMG, it's absolutely hilarious!
Back when I was in college, I remember driving around with a group of my friends, dropping them off at their houses after a party, and heading back to my place. It was a long way from home after my last stop.
I am about 10 miles from a town called Orangedale with woods for miles on end, when I run out of gas. I know, I know, it sounds like a scary movie, and no my brick cell phone wouldn't work!! LOL.
Well, I had to hitchhike. A nice guy picked me up, took me to a gas station, and I got home safely that night.
Of course, I tell myself that this would never happen again, but it does...
A few months later I am driving home for the holidays when I run out of gas. A sweet old couple pick me up, take me to the nearest gas station, where I proceed to call my parents for help.
These days it isn't like that. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 99.9% of hitchhikers are murderers, and 99.9% of people who pick up hitchhikers are ALSO murderers. Then there's this video.... sure to make you laugh.

Politics 101: Biggest Military Spenders
No... it can't be! The United States. Really? We ask ourselves why this country is in the state that it is in, and this graph tells you why. I posted a blog earlier this month, "United Bases of America" with a map showing the amount of military bases we have around the world. And these are just the bases we are aware of.
I'm all for protecting our country, but do we have to protect everyone else? Why can't they handle their own crap? These are the amounts in 2010 alone.

A one-hit wonder is a person or act known mainly for only a single success. The term is most often used to describe music performers with only one hit single - WikipediaThe following song was first played in 1999, reaching its peak in 2000. Everyone in their graduating classes used it as their "class song", and has been used in countless ceremonies ever since.

Karma's A B*tch
When you have nothing nice to say, take anonymous revenge and then confess in a passive-aggressive letter. Oh, and really emphasize that you're "Sorry!!!"

| Dear person, I'm sorry I put a dent in your car. I didn't want to but, I did when I tried to park next to you. I am not leaving my information because you chose to use two spaces and i just wanted to park in one. The scratches are because I used a towel that had sand on it to try and clean the dent/paint off. Beaches are fun. Please look your car over for the dent and scratches and each time you see them remember not to park in two spaces. - Sorry!!! |

Student vs. Professor
I guess the next time a professor tries to outsmart his student, he better be well-prepared. Better yet, take a class on student-teacher etiquette. LOL.
Too funny. I'd have to go with the student, he was quite clever.

If The World Were A Village of 100 People: Issue No. 12 - Sexual Orientation
This is the 12th poster out of the 20 posters I have shared with you over the past several months.
Every week I have been asking, "What if the world were a village of 100 people?" And by using statistics based on the spread of the population in the world, Toby Ng Design created these posters as another way of looking at how our world is today.
If you missed any of the previous issues, click here.

Movies to Watch: Brave
This looks like a really cute movie to watch. It kind of reminds me of "How To Train Your Dragon" by Dreamworks, without the Dragon of course.
I'm a sucker for animated movies, so I think I'll mark June 22, 2012 down in my calendar. Check out the trailer below.
According to Disney, the film is set in the Scottish Highlands and follows a brave princess named Merida, who confronts and challenges tradition, destiny and some pretty fierce beasts. Throughout her journey she realizes the true meaning of courage.
The film features the voices of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Robbie Coltrane, and Craig Ferguson.

Isn't This The Truth? Group Projects
So about two months ago they held a group project at work in order to achieve our annual goals for the department. The main topics were communication and what we would do in the event someone was out for a day or more. Long story short, nobody really learned a damn thing. Oh and btw, this chart is how our group project went down that afternoon.

Must Watch: Never Say No To Panda
When I saw these advertisements over a year ago, I swear my ass was laughing so hard I was crying. The ads were for Panda cheese which came out with a successful advertising campaign that consisted of about five commercials.
The videos are still on YouTube and have already received millions of views. In fact, they were handed awards from Cannes Lions. And why wouldn’t they? The idea is courageous, some might even argue too bold (hence giving it even more value), and relatively unorthodox. They’re simply hilarious.
The campaign was created by Advantage Marketing & Advertising (who were understandably ecstatic with the award).

The Joys of Being a Parent: Oh My Gosh!
In all seriousness though, I'm sure the mom's reaction was far worse after realizing what had happened. She probably got pissed, then said, "fuck it, let me get my camera". Sorry for the French, but that's what I would have said. In my head, of course.
Mommy was not feeling well and had to stay in the bathroom longer than usual during which my two boys, ages 1 and 3 took my new bag of flour out of the cupboard and destroyed my house. This is from ONE 5lb bag. Don't believe me? Hand a full bag to a 3 year old and see what happens.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 36 - Petting A Baby Owl
You may remember my post from August, "An Owl As You've Never Seen It Before," if not, i highly recommend it. It's a pretty darn cool video. But this video I spotted on the Daily Mail, is simply adorable. I've had a fascination with owls since I was a child and used to collect owl memorabilia growing up. This video has surely peaked my interest collecting them once again.
From The Daily Mail:
From The Daily Mail:
And- unintentionally tapping into the passion for the curiously cute birds of prey-this incredible footage has clocked up nearly two million You Tube hits in two days.
The expression of bliss on the face of the adorable infant, as it gets a refreshing head rub from its unseen lady owl-keeper is pure magic.

Gaga The Fashionista! - The Sperm Hat
Oh Gaga. According to TMZ, Lady Gaga emerged from a London hotel on Wednesday wearing what appeared to be a hot pink sperm hat on her head. What will she think of next? With all due respect, she probably doesn't come up with these ridiculous outfits, she just promotes them. :-)
I'll let the Gaga fans correct me.
