Evolution of Get Lucky

In April I posted a video titled the Evolution of Music which consisted of a medley of Pentatonix's favorite songs.  This time around, PV Nova take Daft Punk and Pharrell's, "Get Lucky" and do something similar.

They take the song and change the music to reflect the decade, starting with 1930 until the year 2020.  It's pretty cool, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The 70's and 80's were perfect!

A Hot Mess of Really Stupid People: National Anthem Sparks Racist Tweets

Once again I'm stuck between a "Hot Mess" of "Stupid People".  I swear, some people have nothing better to do with their lives.

Not sure if any of you watch America's Got Talent.  Ryan and I do, so we clearly know the 10 year-old Mariachi singer, Sebastian De La Cruz, who sang the National Anthem during the SPURS game last night.  Well, even though the little lad is American, it didn't stop the racism from coming out.  These idiots clearly do not know they're ancestors were immigrants themselves or slaves at one point.  The following images are courtesy of publicshaming.tumblr.com

Blake Skjellerup Covers The Gay Times

Ryan, why don't we have subscription to this magazine?  Out Olympian skater, Blake Skjellerup graciously covers the Gay Times.  Yum.

In the magazine, the New Zealand skater discusses how he overcame the negatives in life and his concern for Russia's stand on gay rights as the host for the upcoming Winter Olympics.

Improving your home's efficiency doesn't have to mean hours in the attic tearing out the insulation. It might be as simple as giving your dear old water heater a warm hug. Wrapping your heater in an insulated blanket—one costs about $10 to $20 at home centers—could save your household about 250 lbs. in CO2 emissions annually. Most water heaters more than five years old are constantly losing heat and wasting energy because they lack internal insulation. If the surface feels warm to the touch, get your heater an extra blankie. You'll both feel better.

Don't Mess With Texas: Report A Litterer

If there is one thing I have been guilty of, it's littering.  Yes, I will confess.  When I was in my twenties and early thirties I threw my cigarette butts out the window after I was done smoking.  Fortunately for me, this all stopped when a passenger threw out a Snicker's bar wrapper out my window and we ended up getting a $250 ticket for it.

But today, I will report your ass!  Yep, the most envied state in the union has given me the opportunity to report you!  And I say this now, because as I was driving my brand new car home after work one day, an idiot (me in past life), threw a cigarette butt out his window and it landed on my hood.  I was not a very happy camper.  I was furious.

Excuse my French, but this bitch is crazy.  She didn't get a receipt and demanded her order be free.  Okay, sure Dunkin' Donuts will honor the request, but I wouldn't have given it to a nut-job like this.  Then again, she probably would've returned with an AK-47 and shot everyone.  Oh, and she made sure to let everyone know it was going on Facebook and the internet.  It's true, her stupid ass is all over the internet for everyone to see and laugh at.  Geez.... are people really this stupid?  The video is full of explicit language and racial epithets. You've been warned.  It is NSFW.

For those of us living in Houston, we vividly remember this story, the trial and the events leading to the verdict; Only to be exonerated several years later for this heinous and vicious act.  Everyone blamed the Husband (I was one of them), and felt he should have gone to prison just as she did.

The prosecution in the trial of Andrea Yates argued that she may have drowned her four young sons and infant daughter in the family bathtub as a kind of symbolic revenge for the emptiness of her life with their father, Randy. However, as shocking as the June 20, 2001 drownings were, much of the speculation was over Yates' mental condition. Did the fact that she had five children, each spaced about two years apart, have anything to do with mental illness, brought on perhaps by repetitive post-partum depression? And what of her conservative Christian husband and the home-schooling of the children? How much time did the young mother have to herself? Absent from Yates was the viciousness of Susan Smith, who had locked her two young sons in a car on Oct. 25, 1994, let them slide into a lake, all in order to be free to run off with a wealthy lover. Instead, the focus was the insidiousness of mental illness. Yates confessed to the murders and would undergo two trials. The first rejected insanity as a defense and sent her to prison for life. An appeal gave her a second trial in which she was found not guilty by reason of insanity. She has since been committed to a mental health facility. Her husband has remarried.
