You gotta love it. Even if it is a hot mess. LOL. You know all of you have done it. You're in the shower and you grab a bottle of shampoo and you start singing your heart out like your Enrique Iglesias in a bathhouse. You've probably even grabbed a comb or hairbrush and sung a song or two in front of your mirror. Well, it didn't go to well for one of these two girls lip synching to Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night".

The Greatest Paper Map of the United States You’ll Ever See
This is the perfect example of the little man vs. the big man, small business vs. mega corporations, little pharma vs. big pharma, and the analogies can continue, but I'll end it there as this blog is about a map. Yep, a map. And it's the greatest paper map of the United States you will ever see. Before the power of smartphones people would buy paper maps at their local gas stations or supermarkets; Maps to cities, vacation spots, or their favorite destinations. Hell, I remember buying city maps to Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Corpus Christi.
Well, in American mapmaking, the "Best of Show" award is the biggest honor one can achieve at the annual competition of the Cartography and Geographic Information Society. Usually the big map makers like National Geographic, Rand McNally, C.I.A. Cartography Center and the U.S. Census Bureau wind up being the winner of this prestigious award. But not this time, the big award emerged from a little farmhouse outside of Eugene, Oregon. It's creator? David Imus.
Imus worked on this map over a two-year period, and did it all on his own with no help. He worked 7 days a week and nearly 6,000 hours before it was completed. And he did it all by hand.
So what makes this map different from the Rand McNally version you can buy at a bookstore? Or from the dusty National Geographic pull-down mounted in your child’s elementary school classroom? Can one paper wall map really outshine all others—so definitively that it becomes award-worthy? [source]
Feel free to purchase this map directly from David Imus himself, visit his website at imusgeographics.com

Must Watch: Gay Baby
You all know how much I love my short films. Well, I'm seriously thinking about bringing back an old series of mine called "Saturday Morning Coffee Break". It was a series that ran every Saturday on "Peter's Daily Blog" on MySpace where I would usually post gay short films. I posted some of the best films, and everyone looked forward to them each and every week.
Well today there's no exception, I have to post this great short film titled, "Gay Baby." It is a definite 'Must Watch'. It's about a couple who learns their unborn son is gay, and the father quickly gets disappointed. But no worries, the couple go to a baby store where they encounter a gay store clerk who tries to change the father's reaction from disappointment to excitement. It's a really cute 6-1/2 minute film. Like I mentioned earlier, it's a definite 'must watch'.

Laugh of the Day: Sh*t White Girls Say to Black Girls
Man, I thought my "Sh*t They Say Trilogy" would have ended it all last week, but it doesn't seem to end. Now there's the things white girls say to black girls. I would be lying if I said this was not a true reflection of it, but I'm sorry, it is!
I've seen and heard it first hand. I've worked in an office environment long enough to hear the ridiculous verbage that comes out of a "white girl's" mouth.

Don't Argue With A Gay Flight Attendant
My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.
As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us "Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super."
On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed an extremely well-dressed and exotic young woman hadn't moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground."
She calmly turned her head and said, "In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one."
To which the flight attendant replied without missing a beat, "Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray up, Bitch."

I Gave My Kids A Terrible Present: Part II
Now why does Jimmy Kimmel keep torturing these poor kids? LOL. Actually it's the parents who are to blame. They continued taping their kids, even after Jimmy Kimmel had already completed his segment.
Last month, Jimmy had asked his viewers to play a trick on their kids by having them open one present a few weeks early, but instead of a good present, he advised them to put something the kids wouldn't like in the box, upload it on YouTube, and label it, "Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I gave my kids a terrible present." Well, the taping didn't stop, and the videos still kept pouring in.

Adele Finds Someone Like YOU!
Yay!!! Go for it girl! The 23 year old powerhouse has landed in the Florida Everglades with her new bearded beau, Simon Konecki! According to "The Sun", he made her giggle as they took a walk on the beach.
Adele, whose previous relationship was a disaster and ended in her biggest album to date, told the sun, "if they make me laugh, I'm in the bed." Interesting. Things that make you go hmmm....
I hope for his sake he doesn't break our girl's heart! There will be an outcry, and he will no longer be able to walk on beaches or hug women.

Must Watch: Lady Gaga Got Married on New Year's Eve
Well... she "married the night" on New Year's Rockin' Eve with Dick Clark.
Prior to the ball drop, Lady Gaga started her performance with Heavy Metal Lover in an octopus-looking costume, but later emerged out of that when she performed Marry The Night, and finished off with Born This Way.
Shortly after her performance, Gaga and the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg flipped the switch to start the ball drop last Saturday night, and it was pretty darn cool.
Personally, I think there's no better way to end the year than in your own home state and city of New York. Love or hate her, she was fabulous!
Check out her New Year's Eve performance below:

Look For Changes On So You Think You Can Dance - Season 9
Yes, you're reading it right here! Due to the dismal finale last year of So You Think You Can Dance, changes are being made to this year's Season 9. According to the show's producer, Nigel Lythgoe, who's also a judge on the show, FOX has cancelled the results show which airs the day after the performances. And I couldn't have been more happier. I think the other networks and producers should follow suit, like Dancing With The Stars, American Idol and the X-Factor (shows that Ryan and I both quit watching).
Supposedly there was a 9% decline in viewership in the Season 8 finale, where Melanie Moore was crowned the winner. Regardless, they were signed on for another season, so at least we got that. That's if Ryan and I choose to watch it this year. [source]

Laugh of the Day: Doggone Sunglasses
So I'm sure you've read by now or maybe even watched it on the news last night. Never mind that Mitt Romney beat Rick Santorum by a measly 8 votes. No, no that wasn't the story of the night. The big night belonged to Michele Bachmann's gay over-joyed husband, Marcus.
As Michele Bachmann put it, "Yesterday when we were out on Main Street in Des Moines, he was out buying doggie sunglasses for our dog Boomer, while we were out visiting all of the many businesses,".
So now you know.

10 Reasons Not To Vote For Ron Paul
He may have come in third place in Iowa last night, but terrifyingly enough, many liberals or Democrats are listening to this nut. Granted, he's a Libertarian calling himself a Republican only to win the nomination, addictinginfo.org posted an article that I absolutely fell in love with.
The reason I like the article so much, is because the website provides the links on the resolutions Dr. Paul supports. I'm sure this is just in case you don't believe what he wrote. Do the research yourself and make your own judgement.
As anyone with a blog, YouTube account, MySpace page, or web site knows Ron Paul supporters are everywhere! The internet is filled with them. The frightening thing that I have witnessed is that many liberal voters are giving some credence to Ron Paul’s campaign and message. He somehow comes across as different or better than the run of the mill conservatives filling the Republican ticket.
I do not support Ron Paul in ANYTHING and I find his Congressional record and policies to be, at times, even scarier than his counterparts. The only thing that I have found to agree with him on is the fact that he does not support the war in Iraq. After extensive research I have compiled a list of 10 reasons NOT to vote for Ron Paul!
7. Ron Paul discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation and would not provide equal rights and protections to glbt citizens. This is an issue that Paul sort of dances around. He has been praised for stating that the federal government should not regulate who a person marries. This has been construed by some to mean that he is somewhat open to the idea of same sex marriage, he is not. Paul was an original co sponsor of the Marriage Protection Act in the House in 2004. Among other things this discriminatory piece of legislation placed a prohibition on the recognition of a same sex marriage across state borders. He said in 2004 that if he was in the Texas legislature he would not allow judges to come up with “new definitions” of marriage. Paul is a very religious conservative and though he is careful with his words his record shows that he is not a supporter of same sex marriage. In 1980 he introduced a particularly bigoted bill entitled “A bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955 A direct quote from the legislation “Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds to any organization which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style.” shows that he is unequivocally opposed to lifestyles other than heterosexual.
8. Ron Paul has an unnatural obsession with guns.
One of Paul’s loudest gripes is that the second amendment of the constitution is being eroded. In fact, he believes that September 11 would not have happened if that wasn’t true. He advocates for there to be no restrictions on personal ownership of semi-automatic weaponry or large capacity ammunition feeding devices, would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act (because we all know our schools are just missing more guns), wants guns to be allowed in our National Parks, and repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968. Now, I’m pretty damn certain that when the Constitution was written our founding fathers never intended for people to be walking around the streets with AK47′s and “large capacity ammunition feeding devices.” (That just sounds scary.) Throughout the years our Constitution has been amended and is indeed a living document needing changes to stay relevant in our society. Paul has no problem changing the Constitution when it fits his needs, such as no longer allowing those born in the US to be citizens if their parents are not. On the gun issue though he is no holds barred. I know he’s from Texas but really, common sense tells us that the amendments he is seeking to repeal have their place. In fact, the gun control act was put into place after the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert Kennedy. Please view the following links: H.R.2424, H.R.1897, H.R.1096, H.R.407, H.R.1147, and H.R.3892.
So there you have it, my 10 reasons not to vote for Ron Paul. Please take the time to thoroughly review the records of the people running for office so you know where they really stand. Ron Paul has good rhetoric and he opposes the war but he’s not a good man in the human rights sense of the phrase. He is pretty much like every other Republican but more insidious. Here is a video that you should watch after reading this article. Really listen to what he says and how he says it. Watch out for the sneaky ones and RESEARCH! ((Orcinus: Ron Paul’s Record in Congress ))

The only thing that I have found to agree with him on is the fact that he does not support the war in Iraq. After extensive research I have compiled a list of 10 reasons NOT to vote for Ron Paul!
1. Ron Paul does not value equal rights for minorities.
Ron Paul has sponsored legislation that would repeal affirmative action, keep the IRS from investigating private schools who may have used race as a factor in denying entrance, thus losing their tax exempt status, would limit the scope of Brown versus Board of Education, and would deny citizenship for those born in the US if their parents are not citizens. Here are links to these bills: H.R.3863, H.R.5909, H.J.RES.46, and H.J.RES.42.2. Ron Paul would deny women control of their bodies and reproductive rights.
Ron Paul makes it very clear that one of his aims is to repeal Roe v. Wade. He has also co sponsored 4 separate bills to “To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.” This, of course, goes against current medical and scientific information as well as our existing laws and precedents. Please see these links: H.R.2597 and H.R.3923. Ron Paul would be disastrous for the working class.
He supports abolishing the Federal minimum wage, has twice introduced legislation to repeal OSHA, or the Occupational Safety and Health Act and would deal devastating blows to Social Security including repealing the act that makes it mandatory for employees of nonprofits, to make “coverage completely optional for both present and future workers”, and would “freeze benefit levels”. He has also twice sponsored legislation seeking to repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act which among other things provide that contractors for the federal government must provide the prevailing wage and prohibits corporate “kick backs.” Here are the related legislative links: H.R.2030, H.R.4604, H.R.736, and H.R.27204. Ron Paul’s tax plan is unfair to lower earners and would greatly benefit those with the highest incomes.
He has repeatedly submitted amendments to the tax code that would get rid of the estate and gift taxes, tax all earners at 10%, disallow income tax credits to individuals who are not corporations, repeal the elderly tax credit, child care credit, earned income credit, and other common credits for working class citizens. Please see this link for more information: H.R.05484 Summary5. Ron Paul’s policies would cause irreparable damage to our already strained environment.
Among other travesties he supports off shore drilling, building more oil refineries, mining on federal lands, no taxes on the production of fuel, and would stop conservation efforts that could be a “Federal obstacle” to building and maintaining refineries. He has also sought to amend the Clean Air Act, repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977, and to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to “restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over the discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters”. To see for yourself the possible extent of the damage to the environment that would happen under a Paul administration please follow these links: H.R.2504, H.R.7079, H.R.7245, H.R.2415, H.R.393, H.R.4639, H.R.5293, and H.R.69366. A Ron Paul administration would continue to proliferate the negative image of the US among other nations.
Ron Paul supports withdrawing the US from the UN, when that has not happened he has fought to at least have the US withdrawn from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. He has introduced legislation to keep the US from giving any funds to the UN. He also submitted that the US funds should not be used in any UN peacekeeping mission or any UN program at all. He has sponsored a bill calling for us to “terminate all participation by the United States in the United Nations, and to remove all privileges, exemptions, and immunities of the United Nations.”Ron Paul twice supported stopping the destruction of intercontinental ballistic missile silos in the United States. He also would continue with Bush’s plan of ignoring international laws by maintaining an insistence that the International Criminal Court does not apply to the US, despite President Clinton’s signature on the original treaty. The International Criminal Court is used for, among other things, prosecution of war crimes. Please see the following links: H.R.3891, H.AMDT.191, H.AMDT.190, H.R.3769, H.R.1665, H.CON.RES.23, and H.R.11547. 9. Ron Paul would butcher our already sad educational system.
The fact is that Ron Paul wants to privatize everything and that includes education. Where we run into problems is that it has been shown (think our current health care system) that this doesn’t work so well in practice. Ron Paul has introduced legislation that would keep the Federal Government “from planning, developing, implementing, or administering any national teacher test or method of certification and from withholding funds from States or local educational agencies that fail to adopt a specific method of teacher certification.” In a separate piece of legislation he seeks to “prohibit the payment of Federal Education assistance in States which require the licensing or certification of private schools or private school teachers.” So basically the federal government can’t regulate teaching credentials and if states opt to require them for private schools they get no aid. That sounds like a marvelous idea teachers with no certification teaching in private schools that are allowed to discriminate on the basis of race. He is certainly moving forward with these proposals!Remember his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955? Guess what? He basically advocates for segregation in schools once again. It “Forbids any court of the United States from requiring the attendance at a particular school of any student because of race, color, creed, or sex.” Without thinking about this statement it doesn’t sound bad at all. But remember, when desegregating schools that this is done by having children go to different schools, often after a court decision as in Brown Vs. Board of Education. If this were a bill that passed, schools would no longer be compelled to comply and the schools would go back to segregation based on their locations. Ron Paul is really starting to look like a pretty bigoted guy don’t you think?10. Ron Paul is opposed to the separation of church and state.
This reason is probably behind every other thing that I disagree with in regards to Paul’s positions. Ron Paul is among those who believes that there is a war on religion, he stated “Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view.” (( Koyaanisqatsi Blog: Wrong Paul Why I Do Not Want Ron Paul to be My President )) Though he talks a good talk, at times, Ron Paul can’t get away from his far right, conservative views. He would support “alternative views” to evolution taught in public schools (i.e. Intelligent Design.) We’ve already taken a look at his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955Besides hating the gays he takes a very religious stance on many other things. He is attempting to force his beliefs on the rest of America, exactly what he would do as president. Now that being said, please, if you’re a Ron Paul lover take a minute to re-read these 10 reasons NOT to vote for Ronnie Paul and ask yourself if you would still support him.
My Dog Poopy Notice Is Ready....
Yes, I will start posting this notice every so often, so that when I'm mowing the yard I don't step in a 4-pound pile of shit. UGH. Nothing pisses me off more than our neighbors walking their dogs and having them poop on our yard. It doesn't help that we have a corner lot, so our lawn covers a great area. It's called being courteous people!
I already told Ryan I'm going to lace some steak with rat poison in it, so that when these neighbors dogs stop by, they'll munch on it and DIE!
Okay, I'm sorry, I need to stop being cruel. It's not the dog's fault, it's their owners. But Jesus, when you have a mastiff or huge ass dog going on your yard, it's not a pretty site. I've had to confront some of our neighbors, and they either throw me the finger, cuss at me, or speak in a foreign language I don't understand. And they will continue to have their dog go on our yard for weeks on end.
The note is ready...

What a Hot Mess: Jumbotron Marriage Proposal
Can anyone say embarrassing or humiliating? Ugh, this is such a difficult thing to go through. How do you know when it's the right time? I mean, you think you love each other enough, and have hope for a future together, then you get rejected in front of few hundred people? I thought marriage proposals were supposed to be spontaneous, sweet, romantic, and exhilarating. What a hot mess!
A young man at a UCLA game gets onto the kiss cam with the intention to propose to his girlfriend. Turns out she didn’t feel the same way.

Woman or Gay Men Logic?
C'mon, logically this is not fair. It could be women or gay men logic. LOL. My partner Ryan would be the first to tell you that I do the exact same thing to our couches, and it drives him crazy. Doesn't it, my angel?

TV Theme Song Medley
Haha, I absolutely enjoyed watching and listening to this video. Koren Ensemble has mashed up more than 15 television theme songs in under 2 minutes and it actually sounds really good. Can you name them all? I loved how they spliced in Dexter's theme. It was great!

Republican's Wife & Daugther Pose for NOH8 Campaign
Oh I love it. Cindy McCain, the wife of former Presidential Candidate and Republican Senator from Arizona John McCain has teamed up with their daughter Meghan McCain in support of equal rights once again.
Two years ago they appeared in separate photo shoots for photographer and activist, Adam Bouska, but this year they have moved it up a notch and had themselves photographed together. You gotta love'm both, thank you Cindy and Meghan!
You can see more pics from their photo shoot at the NOH8 Campaign website.

Politics 101: It's Not All About Iowa
I just love how all the news is focused on Iowa today, and will be for the next several days until New Hampshire. But is it really that important? Is it as important as the media and your neighbors make it out to be? NO. That's a big N-O to all you Republicans. And Democrats for that matter.
You want to know when all of this started? When Jimmy Carter won the Democratic caucuses in Iowa in 1976, and ever since then these candidates have been hoping for the same thing. But I don't remember hearing of a President Huckabee, President Dole, President Gephardt, or President Harkin, do you?
Furthermore, Iowa does not reflect the rest of America. When the total population of Iowa is 96% white, 2% black, 1% Asian and 1% Hispanic you do not resemble America. Adding to the absurdity, you have 60% of that population being mega-religious and a majority of them over the age of 50 or 60. And with only 30% of Iowans expected at these Caucuses, how is this a reflection of America? There is no comparison.
So, while I'm sitting at home watching all this mess, I'll be laughing quietly, because whoever wins will probably never make it past 2012. It's about the rest of the nation, people. It's not about Iowa. Why do you think all these other states are moving their caucuses and primaries up? They want to feel important too. Oh. And by the way there are 49 other states who also want to play a part in the democratic process.

Updated Resolutions For 2012
So let's take out our New Year's Resolutions list from 2009, and update it once again. This pic is too hilarious, but oh so true. This happens way to often. I especially love number 5, "be nicer to wife" in 2009, insert "try to" be nicer to wife in 2010, and insert "ex" wife in 2012. LMAO.

Laugh of the Day: Death
It's time for your laugh of the day!!!
Imagine yourself standing in line at a store register. You look up at the security monitor, and you think you've seen it, but you're not quite sure. You look up again, and there he is. Death staring right at you. Omg, hilarious!

If The World Were A Village of 100 People: Issue No. 18 - Computers
Wow, I can't believe that I'm almost done with this series. This is the 18th poster and 18th week out 20 that I've been posting them.
Every week I have been blogging about the posters designed by Toby Ng, where he took statistics based on the spread of the population in the world today and translated those statistics into a town of 100 people.
So you'd ask yourself, "What if the world were a village of 100 people?" And these posters would answer that question in a much more simpler way.
In my humble opinion I think these posters would be a great educational tool. Great to share with your kids or a classroom.
If you missed any of the previous issues, click here.

Our Future Is In Their Hands - Take 7
I'm over here LMAO, and I really shouldn't be. But Jesus Christ, did he really have to slap his brother with an iPad? Was that really necessary? Granted, the boy who got slapped kept egging him on and on, but damn, when you watch this video you will see what I'm talking about. Our future is in their hands, remember that. LOL.

Loving One Another - Issue No. 004
On December 10, 2011, I introduced my "Loving One Another" series to my BLADE 7184 readers, and I have been posting an issue every Monday since then.
I initially started this series in 2007 on Peter's Daily Blog on MySpace. Later, as the issues progressed I included a quote along with each photo, much the same way as my Kiss of the Week series.

2012 & The End Of The World
One of my favorite educational resources is back, CGPGrey. And this time he talks to us about "2012 & The End Of The World." Why do people believe in this false prophecy, and where is it derived from?
Last year he taught us about Coffee: The Greatest Addiction Ever, Daylight Saving Time, and why pennies should be abolished. If you haven't seen the previous videos, check them out - click on these links.

Okay, even this a stretch, but would my Ryan do this if he could? Honestly? I few years ago I think he probably would have. I can almost bet he took his portable to the potty. Didn't you my angel?. LOL.

Laugh of the Day: Whose Dog Is This?
Let's start off the new year figuring out whose dog was left at a table outside a cafe. I mean, "if the Titanic was sinking right there, would you just ignore it?"
The next time you go out to eat don't leave your dog "tied to a piece of metal" while you enjoy your food. You may end up losing it. Omg, this video is hilarious. Ryan and I may have to start watching this show. And I thought Modern Family was funny.

Our 2012 Milestones - Happy New Year!
First and foremost, I want to thank God for another wonderful year of my life. I believe in His awesomeness while others will have you believe otherwise.
Being gay is a gift from God, and I truly believe He wouldn't have allowed my mother to carry me to full term if He was the hateful being some Christians portray him to be. Thank you God, I love you!
Thank you for allowing me be with the man I most admire in this world, my partner Ryan. He has been my sole companion for the past 6-1/2 years and I could never have asked for a better person in my life. The year 2012 is going to be a huge blessing for us. We will reach two milestones we have never faced in our lifetime.
First and foremost, celebrating our 7 year anniversary - something we both have never done. My two longest relationships were each 4 years long, and I never would have imagined that the third time around would have been a charm. And a charm he was. I love you Ryan! Just goes to show that meeting someone online and falling in love is possible.
The second milestone in our lives will be in late June or early July when Ryan and I will officially be out of credit card debt. Now, this may not seem like a big deal for most of you, but for us it is. Since we've been together we have amassed over $60,000 in credit card debt. Don't get us wrong, we don't regret spending any of it, there was good in all of this. We wouldn't have what we have today, if we didn't have the use of a credit card at our disposal. The majority of that money was invested in the remodeling of our home and the purchases we made throughout the years to make our home beautiful inside and out. In either case, to say we will not shed tears come June or July is an understatement. This is a big deal for us. We will shed tears, because for the first time in our lives every bit of cash we garner from work will go towards building our future home, our eventual marriage and fulfilling our dream of spending the rest of our lives together.
I would also like to take this time to wish a Happy New Year to our loving families, both of who support mine and Ryan's relationship, our dear friends (you know who you are), the readers of my blog, my co-workers, and to all the people on Facebook who have taken the time to say hi, wished me happy birthday, and became friends with me even if they had no clue who I was. :-)
