I found this book cover rather ironic. I read the book when I was younger. "Rainbow Boys" is about the struggles of three gay teens, a Jock, a nerd (goth) boy, and the good all-American boy next door. It's actually a really good book. The book was followed by "Rainbow High" and "Rainbow Road" respectfully. I have all three books. :-). The two subsequent books follow the same characters moving on from graduation to post-graduation.
But onto why I found the cover to "Rainbow Boys" ironic...
The Jock standing behind the other two boys is Matt Bomer. You know - the actor who recently came out of the closet. You probably recognize him from the hit television series, "Chuck" or the upcoming movie, "Magic Mike".
Who knew that Matt would be on the cover of a gay book while being out of the closet, before he was in the closet, before coming out of the closet. LOL.

Must Watch - Must Listen: Tarzan Rain
You may remember or you may not, but in one of my flashbacks (that I haven't done in a while), I featured a song titled Tarzan and Boy by Baltimora. It was actually a club song from the late 80's, early 90's - a one hit wonder to say the least. Well today I came across an odd mashup..
Adele vs. Tarzan. I know, I know, my thoughts exactly. But it does sound pretty good. The Reborn Identity mashed up Set Fire to the Rain with the 80s New Wave dance hit. Take a look, and listen.

Hello Joffrey!
Why does this sound so good to me right now? LOL. I'm sorry, I certainly don't condone Dexter Morgan for his murderous ways; He's killing the scum of the earth who never got their due punishment for the crimes they committed. But Joffrey Baratheon on the other hand, I CAN'T STAND HIM!!!! ugh! I know it's just a show, but I hate this 20 year kid (15 on the show)! Well, the character anyway :-)
For those who don't know Joffrey... He is a character on one of the best shows on television, Game of Thrones. He is played by the actor, Jack Gleeson, and currently the King sitting on the Iron Throne. Whoever sits on this throne is ruler of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. In short, he is a cruel, sadistic, and tyrannical ruler!! And that may be putting it mildly.

The Kitty Avengers!!!!
The Avengers are on top of the world right now, possibly on their way to beating James Cameron's top two movies, Avatar and Titanic. But kinda unlikely, I say.
In either case, the movie has taken the throne for 3 weeks, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon, unless Batman has anything to say about it. Oh wait, I think Brave, Spider-Man, and Prometheus will be coming out soon.
Here's a little humor for your day... The Kitty Avengers!!!!

Magical Fun 101: Drive Thru Static Shock
I'm LMAO over here, but this is absolutely hilarious. Rahat is back and he's getting shocked every time he picks up his meal at a drive-thru. He first lit his wallet on fire, then he made a dollar bill float in mid-air, then shocked and stunned drive-thru workers by making his coke levitate in front of them.
But this time he shocks them! Literally. LOL. He tells one of the girls through the drive-thru, "is Pikachu in the bag" and she goes, "uh, uh." Then the hilarity continues when a girl at McDonald's asks Rahat, "What the hell was that?" She turns to her co-workers and asks, "Did ya'll just see that?... Whatever that lighting was, it hit him and me when I was passing him his card" they all look up at the sky like if something was actually striking them. This is definitely your laugh of the day.

Detain Them In Electrified Camps Until They're All Dead!
I was reading Facebook this morning and came across this horrible article... "N.C. pastor calls for "lesbians and
queers" to be detained in electrified camps "until they're all dead"" - Full Story
You know that despite the hatred that comes from these religious people, they will be judged for how they were on earth. Whether you believe in God or not, most of these people who call themselves Christians are the most vile people on earth.
But like Jesus asked his Father on his dying day, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do"

The Green Arrow Trailer
As if 10 years of Smallville wasn't enough for the CW, now they've brought on The Green Arrow.
At first I was kinda bummed to hear they got rid of Justin Hartley, the actor who played the character on Smallville for 4 years, but they did good with Stephen Amell. And I mean really good :-)
Check out the hot steamy trailer featuring the hero himself. For real - his abs, his biceps, his torso, everything! You know they're going to have him shirtless as much as possible.
I would still take Harry's Law over this any day. I'm sorry, but I can't believe they cancelled one of our favorite shows.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but if you live in Houston, Texas (the fourth largest city in the nation), the Houston Police Department releases a monthly report on vehicles stolen for a particular month. Last week they released April's monthly report and here are the "Top 10" makes of vehicles stolen during the month. Report courtesy of ABC13.com.

Nick Stahl Missing!!!
Damn, where the hell have I been? I thought I read all the news, but obviously I haven't. The loveable Nick Stahl from Terminator 3 and the animated cartoon, Bully has reportedly been missing since May 9, according to PEOPLE. Ironically, in his most recent film, Stahl played a man looking for his missing wife.
Such a sad story, but all too common for Hollywood. Click on the link above to read the full story.
I remember him from the movie, "Disturbing Behavior," which also starred, Katie Holmes and James Marsden.

Is Your Birthday Common?
I thought this infographic was pretty cool; I saw it on CNN a couple of days ago. Find your Month and Day of your birth and locate the color that closely matches your birthday rank (Less common or More common).
My birthday is the same day as Prince Charles of England, November 14th - it's less common. But if I was to look at my niece, Liliana's birthday of September 19, it's definitely "Most common".

Granny G Raps Her Way Through America's Got Talent
OMG! This was hilarious! I hope to be this outrageous at 80! Yes, you read that correctly... 80! Granny G made her showcase on America's Got Talent by rapping about Family Values, and it was a hoot!
I'm thinking Granny is going to last a while on the show - that's just the way the system works. Then again, she did get a Standing O.

My Dog is Family
I'm sorry, but that's unforgivable. They should have known what they were getting into. These dogs grow to love and crave for your attention. They have feelings. True, we are human, but that doesn't make them any less family. Somebody should've given those people away.
Facebook Shooting Father & CPS
Back in February I posted a video of a father who scolded his daughter by destroying her laptop. And it wasn't just a simple disassembling of the device, he did it by shooting the crap out of it. LOL. If you don't remember, you can see the video here.
Well ever since that happened, Mr. Tommy Jordan has welcomed guests to his humble home; Child Protective Services and ABC Good Morning America to name a few.
Well ever since that happened, Mr. Tommy Jordan has welcomed guests to his humble home; Child Protective Services and ABC Good Morning America to name a few.
“Yes they came. Of course they came,” Jordan exclaimed. “They received enough ‘Oh my God he’s going to kill his daughter’ comments that they had to.”According to the article I read this morning, A CBS poll found that 78 percent of the public agreed with the Father's actions, 10 percent felt he went too far by shooting the laptop, and the remaining 12 percent thought that the way someone acts as a parent is nobody's business. What do you think? Did the father react appropriately? What would you've done differently?
“At the end of the day, no I’m not losing my kids, no one’s in danger of being ripped from our home that I know of,” he added.

Mother of the Year X 2
Why have I bestowed Krista Tillman "Mother of the Year times 2"? Because she understands what most ignorant people don't, that people are going to leave your cities. And because she's a loving, doting mother to a son who happens to be gay. But it isn't just the fact that she's an understanding mother. She's a dean of a college in North Carolina, and knows what she's talking about. If these REDs keep going to the extreme far right on their issues, they will never understand the economic impact that will hinder their states in the future.
You may think that Texas is a Republican state, but it's only Republican because we have all those small tiny towns all over the state who hate everyone who's not white. Little do they know, people have been leaving their small towns and relocating to cities that are more accepting - like Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. Watch this short 3 minute video - it's good.

Laugh of the Day: Invisible Cell Phone
Oh Jack Vale. He's at it again, and this time he's at Wal-Mart. You may remember him getting punched in the face by a Target customer a while back. And almost getting jumped by several women at another Target store. This time he's pretending to be on the phone with his wife trying to convince her he's at Wal-Mart.
I really didn't start laughing until the end, but it should bring a little humor to your day.

The Venn of Ron Paul and Other Mysteries of Libertarianism Explained
I'm posting this blog for those few people who were wishing Ron Paul would have won the nomination for the 3rd or 4th time. Who knows - I lost count. Paul has run out of money and is suspending his campaign like the fools before him, Gingrich and Santorum. He calls it "stop campaigning - not dropping out". Tomato/Tomato - we've heard it before.
"Congressman Ron Paul's third-place finish in Tuesday's Iowa Republican Caucus was a remarkably strong showing for a candidate who has so little in common with mainstream Republicans. Perhaps the nation's most politically unique congressman, Paul shares policy stances with conservatives, liberals, and libertarians, while differing markedly from all of them." - By Josh Harkinson

The Check
It's sad, but oh-so-true... Texas is one of the MOST STD-Infested States in the nation, and it isn't slowing down anytime soon. The city of Houston also has the highest population of them in our state.
Men's Health Magazine posted this chart on their online editorial and I thought I should share it. Should you have any questions about getting tested, "The Check" at Planned Parenthood can help figure out if you should or not. "There are no right or wrong answers" the site goes on to say. Check it out here.

It Was Never About One Man / One Woman...
"If a man... marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights. If he does not provide her with these three things, she is to go free, without any payment of money." Exodus, Chapter 21 (NIV) I love how people try to re-write history in order to suit their needs. Especially Christians. Did people forget that it wasn't always One Man / One Woman? Do we have to go back to the Bible "the honor code" of all Christians to show them that men had multiple wives? Lawrence O'Donnell had the "last word" on his show last week and it was absolutely fantastic. Check it out...
