“I’m not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace. I don’t want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I’m into love, and maybe I’ll get more into making love when I’m older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody. … I want to be successful and be great at what I do. But eventually, I want to become the best at what I do. I want to be better than anybody who’s ever done it. And in order to do that, I need to strive to be the best, be good to people and treat people with respect, and work as hard as I can. Because for me, I work so hard and this consumes my life – it’s not worth it if I’m not the best.”

What If RuPaul Moderated A Republican Debate?
Omg, this is hilarious, but what if RuPaul were to moderate a Republican debate? There is one thing I do know, they would definitely be up shit creek without a paddle.
Oh thank you Buzzfeed, you didn't fuck it up!

Keeping It Old Skool - Issue No. 10 - Trapper Keepers
Oh God, forgive me for writing this blog, but I have to reflect on yesteryear for the sake of this series. I haven't written a Keeping It Old Skool issue since May, and now I know why. LOL.
I don't care what any of you say, Trapper Keepers were the shit! They held all your crap together and it had pocket folders called Trappers!
You could find a variety of cool designs that included football, muscle cars, horses, rainbows, and an array of bold colors. It was the coolest 3-ring binder you would ever have. The Trapper Keeper had a fold-over closure that was held shut by a strip of velcro, and the rings were made of plastic so that you wouldn't hurt yourself with those old metal ones. It even had a tab you could pull out, so that the rings would slide open. It was the greatest invention ever!
I know whoever is reading this is probably laughing their ass off, but you know you had one too! Hell, you probably cut the damn plastic and slid in your best friends' pictures in there or those hot shirtless pics of Zack Morris and AC Slater from your Pop Star Magazines.
How my mother never figured out I was gay when I asked for the rainbow one is beyond me.
And yes, just so you can get a kick out of it, here's a commercial for your nostalgia. :-)

OMG Hilarious! - This Is For You Grandma
One of the Cyanide and Happiness artists, Matt, had this to say about today's comic.
"Earlier this week, my grandmother passed away after a year and a half struggle with cancer. She was a bubbly, sweet woman with and infectious laugh who I think would have wanted her memory honored doing what I do best: making borderline-offensive jokes that she doesn't quite get, but she's proud of anyway. I love you, Grandma."

I Am Obamacare!
Facebook friend Jason Johnson posted this image on his FB wall yesterday, and I had to share it. I don't think Republicans understand the importance of what they call "Obamacare".
They think its all fun and games, but look at the document below you bumbling bozos, and call me a socialist - I don't care! You will be hurting a lot of people when you or the Supreme Court try to remove the new Healthcare law.
Please feel free to share this with your friends and family. If you want to share the link, that's fine. Or if you want to take the images and share them on your wall, I'm fine with that too. We need to spread the message.

If The World Were A Village of 100 People: Issue No. 19 - Electricity
Woo hoo! Only one poster left after this one. This is the 19th poster and 19th week out 20 that I've been posting them.
Every week I have been blogging about the posters designed by Toby Ng, where he took statistics based on the spread of the population in the world today and translated those statistics into a town of 100 people. So you'd ask yourself, "What if the world were a village of 100 people?" And these posters would answer that question in a much more simpler way.
In my humble opinion I think these posters would be a great educational tool. Great to share with your kids or a classroom.

The Joys of Being a Parent: Father vs. Daughter in a Battle of Wits
It's Maddie vs Daddy as I interrogate my baby daughter to reveal her favorite parent. What takes place is a ruthless contest of cunning and skill... with one of us clearly out of our league.
I'm Not A Glee Hater, But Kurt Has To Go!
I was just getting used to the fact that the graduating class of Glee was not returning for Season 4, and looking forward to not seeing Kurt any longer. And then BAM! The Worstest News Ever! Yes, I know there's no such thing as "worstest," before you go correcting me.
Ugh. at first I liked him, then I didn't like him, then I did. He just pisses me off sometimes, and I'm ready for some new folks. I mean, don't get me wrong, please keep Blaine and Sebastian on the show, they're perfect in every way. LOL.
But really, why is Ryan Murphy keeping the graduating class on the show? Will this be the hit show's downfall from grace? I sure hope not, but it might as well be. First it was reported that Lea Michele would be returning back as Rachel next year, and now the give us the news that several more characters would be returning, including Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel. Why, Dear God, why?
His character is annoying and he's not the representation of every gay boy in America. But... I get it. They throw in a little bit of Blaine, a dash of Sebastian and they think they have it all figured out. NO! That is not going to fix it. Kurt needs to move on and let bygones, be bygones.

Sh*t Girls Say To Gay Guys
Some of my straight friends haven't seen it, so regardless if every gay boy in America posted it on Facebook yesterday, I'll do the same, because it's only fair they see it too. :-). And honestly, our straight girlfriends are like this in every way. LOL.
Oh, and how many more sh*t videos will we have to listen to? Geez, these videos have gone viral, and I thought the Planking Phenomenon was bad.

Okay, I'm not sure where this came from, but I want one. I tried finding it online, but I found other concepts of a table/chair. If you do happen to come across one, please let me know by leaving a comment. I love this kind of stuff!

Gay Ads That Matter - Issue No. 009 - Sugar Baby Love [NSFW]
Ryan and I saw the movie, Breakfast on Pluto yesterday, and a song in the movie reminded him of a video I had posted on my old blog a very long time ago. It's really cute, maybe not NSFW, but c'mon it's a cartoon.
Introduced at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, the film was made in reference to safe sex and AIDS awareness, one of the main reasons you see condoms throughout the video.
The song in the background is by the Rubettes, "Sugar Baby Love" I posted the lyrics after the jump.

Laugh of the Day: The Lipstick Prank
It's time for the Laugh of the Day!!! OMG, you ladies are going to love this. This was absolutely hilarious!
What would you do if you and your boyfriend / husband went out shopping, and after a few seconds he came out of the dressing room with some lipstick on his neck? If I'm correct, there would be some hell to pay. And it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

Loving One Another - Issue No. 005
On December 10, 2011, I introduced my "Loving One Another" series to my BLADE 7184 readers, and I have been posting an issue every Monday since then.
I initially started this series in 2007 on Peter's Daily Blog on MySpace. Later, as the issues progressed I included a quote along with each photo, much the same way as my Kiss of the Week series.

And A Building Comes Tumbling Down... [video]
You may remember my post from yesterday in regards to a building being demolished in The Texas Medical Center.
Well, yesterday Ryan and I were able to watch it through a live feed streaming at home, and today several videos were posted on You Tube. I was surprised to find so many people actually taping this from buildings in close proximity to the demolition, but it was quite fascinating.
The explosions were quite loud, so I can just imagine how it sounded for the people who were nearby. Feel free to read more about this building from yesterday's blog.

Here is the official video from MD Anderson's website.

The Secret Bracelet
What if you were kidnapped? What if somehow you were handcuffed unwillingly? You're first instinct would probably be to scream, right? But then again, that wouldn't help if you were knocked out and handcuffed afterwards.
In either case, I bring you the Paracord Bracelet. Yep, the bracelet with an undetectable plastic handcuff key! It's so very James Bond, I love it. The unique key is in the buckle itself. You would simply unsnap the bracelet from your wrist, tear out the key, and ta-da! You're Free!!! The handcuff key fits most handcuff models.

A Convicted Prisoner Would Be Better Than Gay Parents
Oh, you gotta love our Republican candidates as they continue on their crusade to overturn everything our current President has done.
Ryan and I watched the debates on Saturday and Sunday, and I'd have to say they were the best ones yet. I know what you're thinking - we're dorks, but who else would keep you informed of the current political news? LOL.
In either case, we watch them because it's like comedy hour. They literally make us laugh. Rick Perry was applauded for finally stating the three government programs he would cut, and then went off on why we should go back into Iraq. We should go in there "literally at the speed of light," he said. I think he meant to say "figuratively". Jesus Christ, somebody help him please.
These are the kind of people who applauded the death of a man for not having health insurance, booed a gay man who served several tours of duty in Iraq, and who would rather have a man in prison take care of your children instead of Ryan or myself.
According to the LA Times, citing the work of one anti-poverty expert, Santorum said, "He found that even fathers in jail who had abandoned their kids were still better than no father at all to have in their children's lives."
Allowing gays to marry and raise children, Santorum said, amounts to "robbing children of something they need, they deserve, they have a right to. You may rationalize that that isn't true, but in your own life and in your own heart, you know it's true."
David (my previous partner) and I raised two little girls together and to this day, they have been raised by a wonderful Mother who loves them, and Gay Parents (David and his current partner) who have helped nourish them in their teen years. I was their soccer coach when they were 4-1/2 through 11 years old, and I'd have to say they have grown into two upstanding young ladies. 17 and 16 now, they're honor students, play in concerts, sports, etc. and continue to excel in everything they set their heart and mind to do. I love them and always will. I will forever be their "Papa Pete".
